I bought my first BMW in October and after storing it all winter, I was met with a "Service Engine Soon" light shortly after I started driving it again in May. I was worried I'd have to go all the way to Minneapolis to get it serviced. When I called Valley Imports they suggested Jaq's. I was a little nervous when I pulled up, its not the fanciest shop, or in the best neighborhood, but I was impressed with the service and will definitely be back. They did an oil change (that I asked for) and said that while the computer indicated some potential problems, the light was probably on because it had been stored all winter and driven on only short in town trips, and that if I took it out and opened it up all would be fine. If not, come back again they said and we will go from there. The car runs great, and the light has not come back on in over a month. I was expected some huge bill that would make me question buying a BMW when no BMW repair shops were nearby. I will definitely go back again. Stacey

They told me a sway bar link was loose which costs $150 and a muffler hanger needed to be welded. I drove it and felt the knock in the front and figured it was the sway bar link. As it turns out it is the front struts which cost $1,400, plus the rotors are warped so another $350. JAQ's either lied and made up a story to explain the front end knocking to help Midwest Motors sell the van, or they are incompetent. Liars or incompetent. Take your pick and then pick another mechanic for your car.

Gateway looked at it and found one screw was put in crooked and one was not tightened. No accountability for the poor installation and instead of refunding us what it cost to correct, gave us in-shop credit. Used the credit to see why I had been leaking coolant (since the engine replacement) and was told I needed a new radiator. They installed a new one 3 weeks ago and I'm leaking more coolant than I was before! They told me to bring it back in.... yeah right!

The sheriff deputy that sat with her while waiting for a tow truck recommended Matt's. I was so impressed with the complete diagnostic breakdown they sent that included each price for each repair, and ranked the repair by color (green, yellow, red). When the long list of repairs were made at an extremely reasonable price, the truck ran like new! It seemed to be in great condition. We just (July 2021) moved my daughter to Florida in the same truck that now has 265,000 miles that actually pulled a U-Haul the whole way. It made it with no problem! I credit the incredible work done at Matt's two years ago with that truck still running like new. They are true mechanics that know how to fix vehicles and extend the lifetime of them! I drove over from Fargo after work. Met with a sales agent named Leon Crooks. He and I talked. After all was done I had my first brand new car off the lot. The price was reasonable for my budget. And I was excited. Highly recommend these guys. Thanks for everything.

I bought a 99 Grand Am from them and I didn't have it for two months and the head gasket went out…read moreon it. The car was overheating and when I brought it in to have it looked at, they said there was air in the cooling system and they fixed it. Well it kept overheating and then they looked at it again and said the same thing. It was still overheating and I brought it in again and then they said it was the head gasket. They wouldn't do anything for me and I overpaid for the car. I ended up spending over $1800 to get it fixed. I haven't put many miles on it since because I was gone for almost two months and now I have a maintenance light on again. I know not to buy a vehicle from them again. They sell a car for well over the book value and then it has too many problems. They also said they help improve credit and report to credit bureaus. I still haven't had a report to the credit bureau show up. I'm pretty disappointed.

I wish I could give them a 0. Just an awful experience in total. Dropped my car off to get some…read morepretty major fixes and it took them almost 3 weeks to get the vehicle back to me. It started with them ordering the wrong part so that took an extra week to fix. Then they suggested some fixes that I didn't think the car needed so prolly trying to oversell me. But finally everything is all fixed and I get my car back. Within 15 miles the car is overheated and I pull over to let it cool down. Brought the car back to the shop immediately. They told me they checked the coolant, even had a report on how good it was looking. There was no coolant in my car. This shop is terrible. I spent $5,000 fixing my car with them and paid and extra $300 with another shop to fix the things they screwed up. Also they said they would call me this week to explain the situation to me and I still haven't hear from them. Don't trust them, go somewhere else... seriously
