They offer all kinds of sounds gear from PA systems to karaoke rentals. The actually shop itself is small and cluttered, but with their delivery services you never actually have to step inside. They gave me a brand new set that had just arrived and threw in an extra set of leads 'just in case' and showed me how it worked and all it did. The young guy even helped carry it to my car and was extremely friendly and genuine. The owner Larry is the loveliest businessman I have met, he was a bit late to open the shop on the day of the return but apologised profusely and carried it in from my car, and said I needn't bother come in (I thought he might want to check all was in order in front of me) but he told me it was fine. Sound people, reasonable rates. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I was here for the last day of the CLRG Irish Dance World Championships. The convention centre is…read morehuge and easy to locate, with a pullout lane in front for cabs to drop off and pick up in. There are stairs and ramps everywhere so it's very accessible. Escalators make up the main way of getting from floor to floor but there are also lifts on both sides of the building. The staff working the event were mostly nice but very pushy when it came to standing in the back of the performance spaces. Irish dance competitions are notorious for having no seating because families and competitors put their stuff on chairs to save them and then walk away. This makes it so hard for even one person to get a seat to actually use! The staff working the convention centre didn't seem to care, they just didn't want us standing and wouldn't listen when we tried to explain that there were no seats for us to use. If you want me to sit so bad, why don't you tell me exactly where I can sit?? The building itself is nice. It has good amenities and plenty of room for lots of people. The acoustics seemed good but it was hard to tell for sure because of how many people there were and how loud they were all talking to each other.

Difficult to be so intimate for so long but the actors sustained the relationship beautifully. I hope I get to see another play here some day. The benches were comfortable. It certainly wasn't crowded for the matinee- there were only about 10 people total, including us, which was very sad as the play was so wonderful and the acting so superb. There is a bar in the lobby and the building is gorgeous. They've an upper floor you can rent out for occasions. And it's gorgeous- stained glass windows, lovely giant hall with beautiful ceiling- the works. I think you'd have a lovely wedding if you booked it. I wish I could go back for more productions, because this place is a class act all the way. Nice bathrooms, too.

It was built way back in 1662 and was a prominent theatrical venue in it's hey day. On either side of it is St Michael and St John's Church. It's structure still remains and it opens up into the basement. It recently got a refurbishment grant so that it could be modelled back to it's former glory. Its part of Gaiety School of acting and you can catch some good performances. The location is in Temple Bar which adds to it's historical essence, a real Dublin treasure.

The facilities are excellent (my groups of up to 40 were hosted in the Health Sciences building), the responsiveness, professionalism and pleasant manner of the staff couldn't be better.
