I have always had good luck with them until today. I took a new computer with the old one and ask them to transfer the itunes library to the new one. They told me that they could not do that because the music was copyrighted and I would have to download all of the music again. I was a little skeptical but they were insistent. When I got in the car I looked it up on my phone and discovered there are 4 different ways to transfer your library to the new computer. So, I came home and did it myself. So disappointed. read more

I took two working computers in. I wanted them to clone my old computer and put my programs on my new computer. I got a call they were done. I went in and noticed that only one program had been transferred over, but was not the right one. I happened to turn on my old one to show them what I needed. My older computer was completely wiped out and wouldn't even bring anything up. After I asked what happened to it, Ryan proceeded to yell that I had brought it in that way. Nick had turned it on when I brought it in. Then I asked to speak to the owner. Ryan continued with his attitude that the owner wasn't there, and he wasn't giving me his number. I told him I grew up with the owner. He went to get him. Then the owner got frustrated because I did not want to bring my only working computer in to them to try again. Then he started yelling and he and Ryan both stormed out. The owner did have someone call and apologize and say they would try and make it right, but it was such an unsettling experience, I would never go back in there alone. I would have never known until I got home that my old computer wasn't working if I hadn't turned it on there. They said I have brought my computers there for years, which I have. They have always put the programs on eventually, or I wouldn't have kept going back. Besides the yelling, the fact they never told me the computer wasn't working anymore was very disappointing. So they apologized, but it was such a bad experience that I will never set foot in that place again. read more

Completely f**** my sons Xbox when we sent it in to get fixed after and HDMI issue but before hand everything but that worked just fine and after getting it back it won't turn on and stripped all the screws on the back so it made it harder for other more professional companies to fix. I needed a single ethernet hub device, because the device I purchased last week seemed to get extremely hot when the ethernet port was utilized. The gentleman that took care of me was kind, and courteous. What's more, he quickly provided a replacement, which seemed to be of more value. I offered to pay the difference, but was told this transaction would be considered an even trade. Wow! Customer service at its finest! My ps4 wouldn't recognize game disks, so I took into them, for the free estimate. 24 hours later, someone calls me (not Todd, whom I was told, 2 hours prior when I called, was working on it) they'd tried multiple cords and controllers and it wouldn't power on. They were willing to try some other things to "see if it'd come on", but I wasn't having that! It powered on with no problem the day I gave it to them. So I went and got my system, brought it home and immediately hooked it up, it powered on just like it always had! My son purchased a gaming computer from you and honestly it was a great computer. it ended up having an issue and overheated and fried the motherboard, CPU, and 2 other components. Not your fault there. However, he brought it to you and you told him it would be cheaper for him to purchase a new one than to repair it... Given how much he paid for it, he didn't have that kind of money chilling around, so he took it apart and The GPU and case were fine. he started purchasing the rest a piece at a time and I just bought his CPU and he put it back together and it's back up and running like a dream. It cost a whopping $335.57 and some of those parts we purchased were better than the original componets. I know how much he spent and repairing it cost him maybe a third of what a new one would have cost him. I get that you are in a business to make money, but lying to your clients is a shady and frankly unethical way to run a business. It took him only a couple of minutes to reassemble It and he's an amateur and if it doesn't take him long to rebuild a computer, it shouldn't take a "professional" very long either, so even the labor would not have brought the total to even close to what a new one cost. In December I took my IPad Pro in to this business to see how many days they would need to keep it to replace the glass/screen. I was told 2 days to order the part and two days to install and allow to sit after installation. I was also told "approximately $230. I ended up being admitted to the hospital but on the day of discharge I dropped it off. After ELEVEN DAYS I picked it up. First, it cost $298, not even close to the "approximately" $320. Worse the home button only works once every three to six times it is pressed. Somehow these clowns have jacked the home button so it does not make contact. When I took it back up there a few minutes ago they then informed me that this happens when you work on the glass. I asked the kid why I was not told that this would happen BEFORE they worked in it. He just stared at me with this stupid ass deer in the headlight look. Folks, you get what you get. It's sad because most of us do not know what questions to ask BEFORE work is done. So these jerks use that as their excuse, "you did not ask" thing. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you shop around before using this place. Don't get screwed over like me Just an update. My ability to use my IPad Pro is worse now and seems to get worse every day. I have a very difficult time trying to type with the letters not working. Also trying to click on a link or simply trying to swipe up and down or left or right is impossible at times. These kids that are working at this shop probably have a very good book sense of their jobs. However it seems they cannot out the book smarts into practical application. Update. I took the iPad back for them to fix the issues. They did a good job of getting the home button working and made the swipping on the screen better. HOWEVER now there are dark streaks going down the screen. Totally about 3/4 of the screen is under the streaks. Also for some odd reason even with the brightness up to 100% the screen is dark. I'm done lol, I bought a new IPad Pro at Best Buy in Charleston and I'm going to let the grandkids load games in this one to play when they are here. We spoke with the owner about fixing a dinosaur for us. In the exchanged messages we were told mid Feb. Feb 6th I sent a message and didn't get a response. We called in about a week later and was told the parts were ordered and it wasn't a priority. We then messaged Feb 27th to find out the status. I was told "Dude. I have an idea and have parts on the way. If you want an update every 10 minutes just come and pick it up. Peace" and I was a pain in the ass and had two day to pick it up or it would be on the street. He says he stands by his comments and he isn't sad to see me go. read more

They have always been straight forward with me, and happily answer all my questions and explain the work they did, too. Not professional and not honest! Unlucky for my daughter to have dropped her phone and shattered the screen. They fixed it and the screen popped off after the thirty day warranty. We didn't expect to be fixed for free but they lied to me about how much my daughter paid for the initial repair (even pretended to look it up on the computer) and then quoted me the same price she originally paid and said that was a discount! I called her before leaving the store (she wasn't with me) and she said that wasn't correct. I called them on it and they were belligerent! Clearly I left and would not recommend them. They did not have good workmanship and they look to be interested in cheating and lying to their customers. Shame on the cheap geeks! read more

Been there three times for the same phone. Everything but what I asked them to has been fixed (including things that weren't needed) missing parts, screen isn't on correctly. Rude, uncommunicative and disrespectful if questioned on the issues they didn't fix and or caused. After the 3rd time going to fix the same phone I was obviously irritated but according to them have no right to feel this way as of "I should of known those were possibilities" (said possibilities being the screen not being hooked up correctly, missing parts ect) absolute garbage. PIT communication fixed my phone first day and I will NEVER go back anywhere else. read more

I had taken my older computer to Really Cheap Geeks a few times and each time they got it up and running just fine. Since it was not powerful enough to play some of the online games I like (Skyforge) I looked around trying to find a good gaming computer and have to say I wasn't impressed with what was out there. I called Dan and asked if he would build me a really good gaming computer. Did he ever! It is absolutely excellent for gaming as well as normal computer stuff. It is super fast, he put some really nice programs and a dvd r/w player on it as well. I couldn't be more pleased. The computer tower is also awesome. My friends who have seen it were blown away.
