This is, so far, the best 'Francesinha' I have ever tasted!
Though more recent that the competition, this place rocks in what concerns to the ingredient quality, which is excellent! The quantity and quality of the cheese is great, and the steak is medium rare just as I love! But it does not have fresh sausages like I think it is the traditional recipe. The sauce is great and very different from the normal. It tastes more like beer and is a little more acid than the normal. It is also a little more acid and spicy (much like Taberna Belga, but less acid). This 'Francesinha' is huge, I could barely finish it, so I'd recommend to visit this place when you are starving!
Much like in the other 'Francesinha' places, this one has a vast selection of beers that we can choose for making the experience even better. It even has it's own beer brand, with their own recipe, which they control form the supplier!
The waiters are very kind and sympathetic, as it is normal in 'Minho'! The place is also very young, clean and well decorated. It could be a little bigger actually, since sometimes there is no table!
For the quality of the food, and the dish size (which is huge), I think the price is perfectly acceptable. The chips are sold separately, but they are cheap so it doesn't raise the price too much!
All in all this is the best 'Francesinha' experience you can have so far in Braga. At least, as far as I know! A must go and a must return! read more
