I purchased a Santevia water filter tank listed as "on sale." It was only after I paid that the…read moreinvoice noted the item was "cracked" and "damaged". This is a major safety risk for a water filtration system, yet my original receipt made no mention of this damage. When I immediately contacted the owner, Wanda, to cancel, she refused. She claimed the order had "already shipped" and could not be stopped. She tried to justify selling broken safety equipment by claiming the damage was disclosed, but that text was buried far down the page, well below the "Add to Cart" button where it was intentionally difficult to see. Wanda eventually agreed to refund the item but refused to refund the shipping cost ($28.35), claiming it was too late because the item had shipped. This was a lie. The tracking number confirmed the package never left their facility; the status remained "Label Created" for a week. Most egregiously, Wanda admitted in a later email that she did void the label and received a full refund from Canada Post. She explicitly stated she was retaining my shipping funds to cover "the time it took" to process the order. She essentially admitted to pocketing money for a service (Freight) she never rendered and for which she was fully reimbursed. To make matters worse, they have already re-listed the cracked, unsafe tank on their website, likely hoping the next buyer won't notice. Do not trust this business.

Polar Bear Health and Water, wow what a great place with amazing staff. I was looking at a juicer…read moreand i had seen all those TV Juicers without getting any answers. When i got their they were so outgoing and happy to see me, they asked if i needed help and boy did i. After finding out the good and the bad about Juicers i made my choice and bought my first Juicer. What a helpful and knowledgeable place and they have been their for over 70 years. I found that they could have shut down during Covid but they stayed open to help and support the community. Right on, this is a business i love to support.

I live on an acreage and was talked into purchasing a softener and reverse Osmosis system from Home…read morewater systems. The system worked good for just about a Year, then we started noticing a water pressure issue. We had very low water pressure when showering running kitchen taps etc. I called Chris and explained the situation, Chris advised me to bypass the softener and see how the water pressure was then, after bypassing the softener the pressure was back to normal very good, I have pressure gauges on both inlet and outlet of the softener so you could defiantly see the pressure loss going through the softener. We left the softener system bypassed and after several weeks Chris brought out another softener and installed. The pressure seemed good for a couple of days and then went back to being very low. When I called Chris back he said he had to check with a so called expert, when he called me back he said further system checks were required and started to try to blame my pump and pressure tank. I asked why the pressure was good when bypassing the softener. I was told there were tests that I needed to preform, water flow tests, pressure tests etc, I asked Chris for assistance with preforming these as they were the experts & why these were they not performed prior to selling me the system? I was told Chris would have to chat with Ari and he would need to call me back. It's now been 4 Months and I have not heard anything from either Ari or Chris and my softener has been bypassed. I feel I wasted my money putting this system in and did not receive adequate knowledge or support from this company!!

The drain pipe from our kitchen sink to the main drain recently sprung a leak, and we were unable…read moreto find the source of the leak and fix it ourselves. I sent messages to a couple of plumbing outfits, but they didn't even respond. After a week of using buckets to capture the water leaking and dripping down into the basement, I gave up waiting for the first two outfits to respond and sent more messages to about 8 more plumbing outfits ... but again, most of them didn't even respond. I got 3 responses, 2 of which demanded ridiculously excessive deposits of $ 325 and $ 500 respectively. Max Plumbing and Heating was the only one who was quick to respond interactively through the Yelp messaging system, answered questions, was flexible, gave a ballpark estimate, and only demanded a reasonable deposit of $ 99. Max showed up when we asked him to, quickly found the reason for the leak, and replaced the worn-through pipe within a few hours, for a flat rate of $ 500, which was very reasonable for a 2-person crew for about 3 hours. He offered to clean out part of an attached pipe that was full of gunk but wasn't leaking for an extra $ 50, which was good and reasonable, so we agreed. Max was very knowledgeable and friendly, and even pointed out and explained some things about our kitchen drainage system that were problematic, without being asked, and didn't push or even suggest that we call him back to address those issues. Work was completed competently and efficiently. Quality of work was excellent. Value was very good. I would definitely recommend Max Plumbing and Heating!
