He did a pre-wedding site visit to the venue with us and helped us plan out the processional. The day of the event, he captured all the special photos we requested and everyone loved him! Kurtis & Annie were the photographers for our wedding at Empire Mine at the end of September. Short…read moreversion: they were fantastic, the photos were fantastic, and I highly recommend them! Neither my now-husband nor I feel very comfortable with photos, and I was prepared for that part of the wedding experience to be stressful & uncomfortable. But Kurtis and Annie were very easy to work with--friendly, low-key, approachable, while also professional. They clearly knew what they were doing and helped us along (since unlike them, we'd never done this before!). They understood that we had reservations about being in front of the camera for too long, and checked in about whether we were okay. They were also great about instructions--directing us what to do but not posing us too much. Annie was great at getting our little niece to look at the camera during the family shots. They gave us our space when we needed it while still capturing tons of beautiful moments. When we got the photos back, I was surprised and impressed with how many shots they took that I had no memory of! We ended up with more than 1,500 photos on a flash drive. They are lovely. I am so grateful to have professional photos of my husband looking especially amazing, and of my family & friends, and of all the little meaningful moments that happened that evening. But even outside of the quality of the photographs, I truly appreciated how comfortable the process was. I actually felt like a pretty princess during our couples portraits, which was entirely unexpected. That alone was worth it. If you're looking for a photographer in the area, definitely contact Kurtis!

Aaron absolutely crushed it at our wedding!…read more I gave him surprisingly little to work with when it came to song choices, mostly just the general vibe and a few preferences, and he took that and ran with it. He somehow knew exactly what to play. It was seriously hit after hit all night, and he kept the dance floor packed and the energy going without missing a beat. His transitions were so smooth, everything flowed perfectly, and the lighting was AMAZING. It completely transformed the reception space and made the dance floor feel so fun. Aaron was also incredibly responsive leading up to the wedding and made a point to check in with us, which I really appreciated. He handled his own setup, was super organized, and was very accommodating when I wanted to change the timing for our last song and grand exit. Nothing ever felt stressful or complicated. He made it that easy! And honestly, he is just SUCH a sweet guy. So easy to talk to, so accommodating, and clearly really good at reading a room. We would hire him again in a heartbeat!

She truly made the day go so smooth and had a great handle on timelines and photo times. She spent every moment with endless energy and smiles. I have followed Jessica Roman's Instagram page for at least 8 years because her work is SO perfect…read more I remember when I was in my early 20's showing my mom her work on Instagram and saying to her "When I find someone to marry, I wish I could have her photograph my big day." Well, I found my person, started planning my big day, and Jessica was the obvious choice to hire as our photographer. I was a covid bride, and had to postpone my wedding over a year out. Jessica was fantastic to work with during that very stressful time. I called her crying about having to change the wedding date, and she was so willing to work with me and help. She gave me all of the dates she had open in the timeframe I needed for the following year, and adjusted my contract with no problems at all! It took a huge weight off my shoulders knowing that she wanted my wedding to be planned out smoothly just as much as I did. Was great having her in my corner! Fast forward to our wedding day: she was perfect. She kept it light, she was funny, she had the perfect amount of sarcasm, and she kept our timeline going smoothly! Through all the family photos that can take forever shuffling everyone in and out of pictures, Jessica had everyone in and out like clockwork, so we could get to partying on time. I couldn't have picked a better person to have on my team of vendors! Her work is absolutely stunning, and I'm so glad I stumbled across her Instagram all those years ago. Thank you Jessica for the amazing photos, we can't thank you enough! I couldn't recommend her enough! I hope to work with her again for various life events that are in need of photos in the future. 10/10, 5 stars, all around amazing person and photographer!!
