I used Ready Rentals for my trip to Hanalei Bay with my husband and 14 month old twins. The radio flyer wagon was the most used item during our stay! My kids absolutely loved it! It was easier than a black stroller too because it was so hot and the wagon was open air. I rented a pop up tent which was extremely easy to use and worked great! I also rented sand toys and a baby monitor. The monitor was pretty old and we ended up using the one we brought from home. All of the gear was clean and in great condition. We used them last may when we went to Kauai. rented a crib, backpack and stroller. and i give em 1 star for customer service and actually it should be 0 stars for ripping me off. Make sure you check your credit card statement. Although I cancelled the crib before they delivered my items they still charged me. when i called him, somehow he 'forgot'. Right... Then i noticed that my charges were more than they should be and called him back to ask why. so since i rented everything for 6 days instead of 7, he refused to extend the weekly rate but instead charged me per day usage. what a dick. had i known, i would've kept it an extra day or had my resort hold it at the front desk or delivered one day earlier. i mean c'mon, really?! Rented a 3 baby frame hiking backpacks for a day last month. Our POC was Joey. First off, it's not clear on their website that, regardless of how few items/days you rent, the minimum order charge is $50 including mandatory delivery. The backpacks were dropped off to our vacation house in horribly dirty condition (dried body excretions, encrusted mud, etc) with shredded straps and we ended up having to scrub them thoroughly with soap and a hose. Customer service over the phone was fine until we complained about the condition of the backpacks, then it became snippy. Joey ended up not charging us and so I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and leave Ready Rentals a 3-star review (rather than another 1-star). I'm hoping they'll get their act together, but I would still consider Ready Rentals (after the other, higher-rated competitors) when we return to Kauai. read more

Amazing company!! My husband and I went to Kauai on our honeymoon and brought our 2 month old twin boys with us. Ready rentals help make our honeymoon happen by delivering all the baby equipment that we needed. We rented cribs, bassinetts, swing, beach equipment and a stroller and Ready Rentals set it all up for us in the condo that we stayed at. The baby equipment was clean, quality, and best of all kept the babies comfortable and happy during our stay in beautiful Kauai. I recommend Ready Rentals to families. Should be a rating for zero. Cancelled reservation due to emergency surgery and still was charged and overcharged. Non-responsive Joey after I talked with him and he said no problem and when I protested said credit card charge still got charged. NEVER do business with this business. I would give them zero stars if I could. The customer service is horrendous. There is no professionalism at all. I'm talking when they answer the phone or talking to someone else in the background. They were late with our delivery and then when we had a problem with it they would not give us our money back or come to get it. You're better off bringing your own equipment and paying for the additional airline cost. read more

We rented a double jogger stroller and a pack & play crib for a week. We liked that we were able to add an additional item at the last minute. I reserved the items via phone and did not need or receive a confirmation number, which was odd at first. The items were delivered and set-up on time when we arrived in our unit. We had an early check-in so it was nice that everything was delivered early. I am giving a 3-star rating because the stroller and crib was a bit old. The stroller was dirty and a bit worn down. I wasn't expecting a brand new stroller, but I expected something in better condition. It all worked though and nothing was broken, so maybe others don't mind. I, however, am on the picky side. The pack and play was also on the old side. It came with a fitted sheet cover, but we washed it anyways to make sure it was clean. Our unit came with a washer and dryer so we were able to do that. Things I recommend for the business: - Provide an e-mail confirmation or reference number to ease the worry of the customer. A receipt would have been great to understand the charges. - Eliminate the $20 fee if a customer orders more than one item. I understand this fee since the owner probably has to drive to other side of the island to make a delivery. However, I believe that it should be waived if the customer has more than one item. - Provide a back-up call line for questions/inquiries/emergencies during teh weekends. The company isn't open on weekends so there's no way to get in touch with them on weekends... which is the usual arrival time for vacationers. - Provide an instructional booklet for the items. We didn't know how to fold our stroller. Thank goodness we had internet access so we YouTubed an instructional video. If a paper booklet couldnt be provided, an e-mail link would be sufficient. - Provide clear instructions on pick-up and drop-off. I wasn;t sure about the items when we checked out so I had to ask front desk for the answer. Aside from these, I still would rent from the company and I would recommend them. I think the business would improve significantly if any of the recommendations above were to be adopted/considered. read more

As the owner of a vacation rental home in Hanalei for the last 20 years I have often referred guests to Ready Rentals for rollaway beds, extra cribs and high chairs, and other gear. They have always been completely reliable, friendly and easy to deal with, always deliver and pick up on time, are completely trustworthy, as they often deliver and pick up when no one is in the house, and their rates are very reasonable. We had the exact same experience as skinny m. I wish I had read the yelp reviews before renting the equipment (which was terrible quality by the way - we found out too late we could have gotten higher quality brand name equipment from the other dealers Kauai for less). Do not give this guy your credit card information - it will be abused and you will find yourself on the phone arguing to get your money back. read more

We had a rental in June. The rollaway bed was delivered but the sheets were unacceptable. They had holes and we called and they did not replace them so we asked them to pick the bed up. I asked for a refund and they did not issue any type of credit. They did not even reply to my email. Definitely would not recommend them. read more

We rented a hiking carrier for our vacation - Ready Rentals was accommodating and very quick with drop off. Carrier was clean and met our needs. Convenient and I would definitely use it again! Agree that it would be ideal if they had a lower minimum than $50. read more
