So we just walked in and they said they'd be ready in an hour. Score! I also had a couple repairs; a narrow omega chain I crimped, a stone remount, and some rhodium plating. They did all that very quickly and I'm happy with the workmanship. It is very nice to have a local jeweler with a highly experienced bench jeweler on site. Aside from all that, the people who work there have great attitudes and are very personable. I have a few loose stones I intend to mount and will be working with them for some custom work. When I showed up, the staff was rude from the start. They removed a link from my watch and only after finishing told me the charge would be $30. I explained that I was willing to pay for the service, but $30 felt excessive for a simple link removal. At that point, the employee became aggressive, started cursing at me, and even called me a "mother f***er." he said pay 30 or I put the link back in. To avoid further escalation, I paid the $30 and left. Afterward, I called a jewelry shop directly across the street and was told they charge $20 for the same service. If you're considering getting a watch link removed, avoid this place at all costs. Poor communication, overpriced service, and completely unacceptable behavior

It's just a little sterling silver ring, but it's basically rubies and diamonds to me. My grandma's boyfriend gave it to me when I was little. He was Native American and made turquoise jewelry and I've worn it all my life. Over the years the stones slowly fell out one by one. My grandma has Alzheimer's now, so getting it fixed meant a lot to me. Jose suggested using turquoise, lapis, and malachite to keep the original tri-color design, and it came out sooo pretty. My grandma also wore lapis earrings her whole life, so I love that the center stone is lapis. Didn't even think about that until I saw the finished piece.
