5 stars -- Monarch Ballroom & Dance Studio…read more I am over 70. I had not danced with anyone in about 43 years. I have almost no social skills, I avoid crowds, and I would rather sit off to the side than mix. For years I was the guy who helped play the music. I never really learned to dance to it. I could never get anyone to take lessons with me so, after a lifelong friendship ended, I finally walked in on my own. To say that I was completely out of my comfort zone would be an understatement! Walking in was the right call. Krista is a great teacher. She is patient with a complete beginner who would rather hide than be on the floor. She does not rush. She actually teaches the steps, then she makes you do them until they start to stick. Her excitement is real. It is not an act, and it rubs off -- even on someone like me who would rather sit out. She made the room feel safe enough that I stayed on the floor instead of heading for a chair. The rest of the staff is just as good. Nobody made me feel foolish for being late to this. If you think you are too old, too shy, or "not a dancer," this studio is built for that. They say they can teach anyone. In my case, that was not a slogan.

I had my first dance lesson at the Monarch Ballroom and Dance Studio last week. My instructor,…read moreChris Thomas, was fabulous. In my first lesson he taught the basics of salsa and merengue. My next lesson we're going to focus on swing. I like Chris's style of teaching. He shows you the steps, let's you practice but also teaches techniques to help improve style. This part makes you stand out when you go dancing in public. I'm excited to try a group lesson as well and a social event. Chris explained the group lessons help you be more comfortable dancing with multiple partners because everyone's style is different and you have to be ready for anything. Come check out Chris and the other dance instructors at Monarch Ballroom.

Lacking in customer service in such ways I was uncomfortable sending my young child. I enrolled my…read moredaughter to start her first year of dance. In preparation for the year, I visited Grace's website and pulled down the first class start date and loaded them into my calendar. On day one, I arrive with my 4 year old and 18 month old and the door is locked. After being let in by a construction worker, I walk up to the desk and I'm met with the look of "what are you doing here?" I say "I'm here for the 2:45 class, it starts today." In a condescending tone "Are you not getting our emails?" Me, with a baby on my hip and a 4 year bouncing around ready to start dance, "I get a lot of emails." The lady's reply "well you need to read them! Classes don't start until next week." We leave. I log into the website and I'm not crazy, it says my daughter has class that day. I check my emails. I missed the one that says classes start August 12. That's on me. I reply to the email asking that they update their online portal to reflect the correct dates. I mention that the customer service I had just received was unkind and unnecessary. I receive a reply from the same lady at the desk saying she's sorry I felt I was treated poorly, email is their method of communication, and their website cannot be changed. I'm in a group chat with 10 successful, working moms. After discussing what happened with them, two other moms mentioned it happened to them too. One even shortened a vacation to be back for the wrong first day because the website is inaccurate. 30% of our group chat. Out of all of their customers, I'm certain we aren't the only 3. In one of the many emails I have received from Grace Conservatory they list their values: Kindness, Community, Humility, and Excellence.    Given I was not treated with kindness and humility, I don't expect my child will be treated with those values attending class there either. We pulled our daughter and enrolled her in another near by dance studio. The communication and interactions have been night and day difference. Being in the Nocatee Town Center should not give you a license to treat paying customers poorly. Websites can be fixed. Communication can be better. Separately, and more importantly, kindness is free. You simply do not have to be rude to anyone that walks through your door.

We have to three studios in the area. This one has been amazing. I danced for 13 years and am…read moreimpressed with the level of excellence from the instructors. Thank you Grace for a wonderful place to dance!

My daughter tried another studio that claimed to be a fun place to learn dance but really lacked…read moredance education and structure. She stopped wanting to dance. 3nMotion has been such a great studio for my daughter! We went from taking 2 classes to taking 6 now. My daughter feels so excited to be learning so many skills. She LOVES Ms Amy! Were excited for a new season.

I reached out hoping the situation would be addressed so she could continue dancing in a positive environment. What was most disappointing to me was that no one ever called to discuss my concerns or hear my perspective or my daughter's. Instead, after I raised concerns about the bullying, I was informed that our family would no longer be able to attend the studio because they felt the relationship was no longer a good fit. As a parent/ grand parent , I expected open communication and an effort to address the concerns before ending our enrollment. I also requested a refund, which was not resolved to my satisfaction. In my experience, I did not feel my concerns were adequately addressed. I was told they reviewed footage, but not for the entire two weeks and not the episode that occurred outside. My kid went to the bathroom, crying almost every day. I Do not recommend putting a child in this situation where a facility does not take any actions to call you directly to hear your side of the story . Do not recommend this studio. Every family's experience may be different, but I wanted to share ours so other parents can make their own informed decisions The owner is Marie And her daughter is Gretchen is also part owner After my concerns, they do not want to refund me and they want me to go ahead and continue attending for the month Are they joking that I would put them in a bullying situation for the rest of the month?
