The food is actually good here. I would come here when passing by on my way home and grab something and was never displeased

My family member was treated for multiple dog bite wounds, and the level of care we received was nothing short of outstanding. Dr. Josh was phenomenal -- calm under pressure, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. He took the time to thoroughly assess the injuries, explain every step of treatment in a way we could understand, and made sure our loved one was comfortable and safe throughout the entire process. His bedside manner is exactly what you hope for in an emergency situation: confident, reassuring, and compassionate. We were also incredibly impressed with PA Theresa, who was equally amazing. She was informative, attentive, and took the time to answer all of our questions without rushing us. Her explanations were clear, her demeanor was warm, and it was obvious she truly cares about her patients and their families. The entire staff worked together like a well-oiled machine -- professional, efficient, and kind. In a stressful situation like a dog bite emergency, having a medical team that treats you with respect and empathy makes all the difference. If you ever need emergency care, especially for something as serious as animal injuries, I highly recommend Riverside University Hospital. Dr. Josh, PA Theresa, and their team turned a frightening situation into a positive experience, and we are extremely grateful for their expertise and compassion. Thank you for taking such excellent care of our family member -- you truly went above and beyond.

I felt like a tennis ball being bounced back and forth between gynecology and neurology. Neither department would take ownership of my health, and because they refused to communicate with each other, my organ damage was completely ignored. To make matters worse, they just kept referring me to physical therapy because the endometriosis was causing radiating lower back pain--which it currently still is. They were trying to treat a muscle spasm while completely missing the fact that a disease was actively choking my kidney. After my recent MRI, RUHS left me completely in limbo with zero follow-up appointments to explain my results. Dr. Farkouh is an unsung hero. He stepped in, thoroughly reviewed my MRI, and broke the news that deep endometriosis had severely compromised my bladder and kidney. He immediately prioritized my life, coordinated my labs, and ordered an emergency catheter to drain my kidney and relieve the dangerous pressure. He treated me with the respect and urgency that every other doctor at this facility lacked.Unfortunately, the rest of the RUHS staff proved how broken this hospital is. The Interventional Radiology department blindsided me with a same-day catheter placement without telling me in advance, leaving me completely unprepared. Following the procedure, the hospital totally abandoned me. The office never called to check on me, never scheduled a follow-up, and never arranged for anyone to change my surgical dressings. I had to completely bypass them and go to an outside network just to get safe, hygienic wound care. The system here is dangerous and broken, but Dr. Farkouh is a brilliant, life-saving light in a horrible facility. Avoid this hospital if you have a complex illness.

If I could give this Pediatrician 50 stars I would. My baby girl was born at Loma Linda and during…read moreour stay there we encountered the most delightful pediatrician we could hope for, Dr. Chow. I hoped she could be our baby's pediatrician but unfortunately she didn't have any openings at the time. Instead we took her to a highly reviewed pediatrician in Rancho Cucamonga. However, after 9 months of visit that office, our baby didn't see the pediatrician once. She always saw a nurse or nurse practitioner and I know there's nothin wrong with that. That place just felt busy, it wasn't warm or inviting, and they just seemed like a "get them and get them out" kind of place. Not Loma Linda. We found out that Dr. Chow had some openings and we jumped right on it. Out of the gate, the experience was so much better. While we were checking in at the front desk, Dr. Chow walked by and waved hello like she remembered us but she couldn't possible remember us from 9 months ago, right? Well...she did. As soon as she walked in the door the entire vibe was peaceful and friendly. She even brought a book for our baby to play with and started playing with our baby girl. At one point, the baby wanted to play with her and she even went around with Dr. Chow to greet the other nurses in the office. Dr. Chow truly knows how to work with kids. We never felt rushed. It felt like we had her all to ourselves. I highly recommend this Doctor and medical office. Side note: You may run into Donkeys in the parking lot. Yes...Donkeys. There were two roaming the parking lot when we arrived. The area is famous for the wild burros. Fun for the kids to see! Just don't try to pet or feed them.

"High Hopes, Zero Hustle: Why I'm Skipping Loma Linda University Health Clinic"…read moreI was genuinely excited to become a new patient here--everyone raves about the doctors. But after yesterday's fiasco, I'm taking my healthcare business elsewhere. Called repeatedly at 1:20 PM--no answer, just endless ringing. Tried again at 3:30 PM and finally got through to Sandy. Explained I'm a new patient seeking a primary care doctor, gave my insurance info, and she put me on hold. Fifteen minutes later: "Our system's down, can't reboot it. Call back later." I politely declined and asked her to call me once it's fixed--gave my name and number clearly. Her response? "If you don't hear from me today, just call back tomorrow." I said no again--please call me when you can actually access the system. Crickets expected. For a top-tier health system, this level of phone-tag frustration and zero follow-through is unacceptable. First impressions matter, especially when you're trusting them with your health. Too bad--the reputation had me hopeful. Moving on to providers who actually answer and value my time. If you're reading this as a patient or staff: Fix the phones and callbacks. People deserve better.

When we were seen by Dr. Ian Pope, he did not address the reason for our visit. Instead, he focused only on my child's chronic condition and told us to go to a children's emergency room. This was confusing and frustrating, as my son has been seen at this urgent care for years and has never been turned away for something like a cough. We DO NOT need an ER just for a cough.  The interaction felt rushed and dismissive. We were not given proper discharge instructions at the time, nor did we receive clear communication about the visit. There was no thorough assessment, no vitals were taken, and we were not provided with a note for school. To make matters worse, the discharge paperwork we later received did not reflect what actually happened during the visit, which is extremely concerning. Additionally, the facility itself has declined in quality. The air conditioning was not working, and there was only a small fan being used in the front area, which raises concerns about comfort and hygiene. Overall, this was one of the worst healthcare experiences I've had. Despite living nearby, I would not return or recommend this location to others unless absolutely necessary. The level of care and professionalism has significantly declined over the past year.

No long waits I was called in the back within 5 min the Doctor came in about 15 min later. Everyone seems so nice so far. The equipment was up date. This is the type of doctor office I'm use too! Two things I don't like so far is 1. I was told by the Doctors nurse I can not refuse to have a student come in. I have never ever heard that before as I have in the past and recently refused. I've normally been asked if it's ok if a student comes in but here you have no say so! & they don't even have the decency to ask if it's ok! I really don't like that and it may make me change offices again because I'm really not comfortable with that. I understand what a student is and does but I still don't want it. 2. I left a message 2 days ago to have the nurse or Doctor call me to clarify something important about my baby I'm still waiting on that call! It really worried me & I could not sleep. So I took matters into my own hands and found out the information about my baby was not the case as I paid for a 3D ultrasound. I'm seeing a Obgyn for my pregnancy seeing Doctor Azawi she seems friendly so far. Hope it continues to go well.

Attached are pictures of my hand, which is still hurting days after having the IV catheter removed…read morefrom it, and the bill I got for useless blood testing. This doesn't include the $620 I haven't gotten back from RCH or transportation costs. I can't begin to tell you how devastating, disappointing, re-traumatizing, and stressful my experience with UCR Women's Health and Riverside Community Hospital was on June 29th. I came in for a surgery at 12:00pm and was hooked to a painful IV for six and a half hours while fasting since 11:30pm the previous night, only to have to cancel my surgery because I was told that it would start at 8:00pm, start later than 8:00pm, or get cancelled entirely because of an emergency. Before coming in, I was told a completely different story: that I would wait only two hours, have my surgery, recover for an hour and a half, and go home at around 4pm. Instead, they completely diverged from that schedule and kept me starved of food and deprived of water for about 19 hours before I left and never received care. If I had gotten my surgery at 8pm, I would've been deprived of food and water for over 22 hours. I followed pre-op perfectly, was anxious for days, had blood taken from me twice (I have a fear of needles), went through a ton of paperwork, waited for months, spent time and money on appointments, and shifted my schedule and classes around for my surgery all for nothing except torture. On top of being neglected at RCH and told unprofessional things like "she's our baby" (which infantilized me in front of Dr. Nahas) and "this isn't a hamburger" (to dismiss my valid questions about the wait time), I was never given an apology for the horrible experience I was subjected to and was expected to end it myself. When the extreme physical and emotional stress from waiting in the hospital for hours and dealing with unprofessional staff sent me into a trauma response, I started sobbing and panicking. As a result, nurses told me that they would call my anesthesiologist to ask for anxiety medication, but they never did. Staff at RCH didn't even give me my anesthesia consent papers. Nobody cared that I had prior medical trauma and that I was being brave by even stepping in the hospital room at all. Instead of feeling respected for being a responsible adult who is taking control of her future and feeling empathized with, I at times felt looked down upon or ignored. There are a few things that make me feel like I'm essentially being deprived of surgical care through UCR Women's Health. First of all, I haven't officially been promised that I would be first or second in line instead of third or given surgery at a reasonable time of day if I reschedule. This makes me extremely hesitant to do so. I don't want to end up in another horrific situation. Second of all, Dr. Natalie Rivera told me on the very day that my surgery was supposed to happen that she wouldn't be available until over a month later--specifically August, a month when I'll have a massive student workload, my post-op driver is out of town, and I have to move out of my apartment. I should be able to reschedule for July since my surgery didn't go as planned. I even called UCR Health for rescheduling during office hours and nobody picked up the phone to help me. Someone should have called ME for rescheduling after my surgery got ruined. I am extremely disgusted by the way I've been treated and am still trying to receive the surgical care I need, even though I have to go through the whole miserable pre-op process all over again (likely somewhere else at this point). Science forbid I end up giving birth, suffering, and surrendering an infant to a hospital one day because nobody gave me the sterilization I wanted. I literally can't get my surgery after August either because then I'll have in-person classes and I won't be able to rest for at least two weeks. Someone should've told me that this was a risk so that I could find a different healthcare provider. My whole life is being disrupted. I'm already taking over 5.5 years to graduate with my BA, so I'm not letting this disgusting negligence turn it into over 6 years or never by dropping my August summer courses. They apparently want me to be degree-less, poor, pregnant, and potentially homeless. I HAVE A LIFE, A RELOCATION, AND AN EDUCATION TO THINK ABOUT! Fernando Reyes, the office manager: This man is a monster with zero empathy Note: I felt throughout all of this that there was underlying misogyny. Even first coming into the hospital, a nurse assumed that my surgeon was a man and one of my consent forms used the pronoun "he" for surgeons. The person who told me that surgeries aren't hamburgers was a man who has no idea what it's like to be this vulnerable as a young woman. Being called a baby as someone who acts differently when under stress also came off as misogynistic.
