Razor was great hooking you to sign up and very professional with their contract and follow up. Once they handed it off to their "recognized" company all went sideways. Absolutely terrible experience. When we initially booked, we asked if we could have our stuff dropped off on 8/1 and they said 'yes, we can do that and we will just have to pick up your stuff off on 7/27'. One week before our move we were told there would be a 10-14 day window so the earliest our stuff would get there would be 8/10. We were totally misled by them and no one cared that they were being misleading. They just pointed us to a vague term in the contract that basically said they could not guarantee a drop off date (so could be a year later by that logic). I had such a bad experience! the worst is i rarely leave reviews. The customer rep that called me basically was pressuring me into using their services and paying them now the deposit. As i explained, he was the 2nd moving company i was talking to so i didn't want to make any decisions today and talk to other moving companies. I would give them 0 stars if I could. The agent I talked to was extremely disrespectful and rude. We spent 20 mins on a quote told him I wanted to talk it over with my husband. He got so offensive he made remarkably disgusting comments about how I wasted his time and hung up the phone. I'm sorry but the whole point of getting quotes doesn't mean you have to book them right then and there. He was an absolute asshole. STRONGLY AVOID! I used Razor Van Lines as a broker for a move from MI to FL. They gave me a "Binding Moving Estimate" for 449CuFt of household goods and took a $611deposit. They later upped the estimated volume of goods to 610CuFt and demanded another $1000 with the assurance that if my move was a lesser volume of goods the price would be adjusted down. My goods arrived in a rented Penski truck loaded in the rearward 7' of the truck (448CuFt) and I ended up getting billed for 750CuFt (an overbilling of $833). The mover they contracted was MSN Logistic Group Inc of Skokie, Ill and they were horrible, as soon as the truck was opened the damage to my goods was blaring! read more

I wish I could give them a zero. They haven't even moved me yet and I'm completely disappointed with them. I went over in great detail what we would be moving and was given a reasonable estimate. Today (two days before the move) I get a phone call from their "customer control" center and he reviews my list of furniture and suddenly the estimate increase over 50%. I booked this company 2 months prior to my move, and the day of the move the driver called and said he couldn't find parking!!! I then had to find a spot the next morning at 6:30 am so the driver could park. When you call customer service ( Lexie) answered, and was extremely rude and condescending she didn't care at all for the customers needs. Razor Van Lines is a broker company. They will tell you whatever you want to hear and give you a low ball estimate, push you into providing a direct bank withdrawal for your deposit then good luck ever getting in touch with someone from Razor Van Lines again. The actual cost of the move was twice the amount of the quote. The delivery date they quoted was misleading. With standard service it can take up to 30 business days not including storage time before your furniture is delivered. Heed my advice - stay away from doing business with this company. They will "strongly" recommend ACH payments directly from your bank account - DO NOT AGREE. At least if you use your credit card the company can reverse the payment when this company inevitably screws you over. They will sell you on a 100% deposit refund if you call within 72 hours. THIS IS ALSO A SCAM. Read the contract carefully before you sign it. Per the contract, you must cancel via email- and you can only get 90% back and even that is at the discretion of the manager. Horrible. I wrote this same review on Google, but I want as many people as possible to know how awful they are. I cancelled my move with them because they are so disorganized and I had no idea when they would show up (if they would show up at all), and I had booked my move more than a month in advance - how is it possible that they don't have a schedule and can't confirm my pick up dates? Yes, this company is cheap. If they offer you a price much lower than any other company, you must realize that something is wrong and you shouldn't trust them. Most importantly, DO YOUR RESEARCH. They are NOT associated with the Better Business Bureau and on the DOT they have (as of today) 26 costumer complaints against them. They are a broker, not a carrier, so they connect you with a 3rd party that will (supposedly) pick up your stuff. But on the DAY BEFORE my move date, I still didn't know when they were supposed to show up. And they may not even show up tomorrow - because there is a backup date, and they still only give you (less than) 24hr notice. I have asked them TWICE (once via email and once on the phone) to confirm my pick up date and heard back nothing. Oh, and check #14 on the contract - there is "absolutely no guarantee" of pick up date.They also ASKED me to schedule a quality assurance call to go over all my items (number of boxes, measurements of some furniture) and then they FORGOT about it and when I called to follow up, they were super dismissive. It's all pretty ridiculous. I booked them because of their price, but the way the move is handled is absurd. How are people supposed to plan anything? I understand things can happen, but I also have to travel to another state and get to my new home. And all of this in the middle of a pandemic. Don't fall for their strategy of "sale pressure" - they give you this great deal but it's only valid if you say yes right away on the phone. SAVE your MONEY - another company might give you a higher quote upfront, but you'll have peace of mind, which is so important because long distance moving is already super stressful. read more

I wish I would have read all of these reviews before speaking with "Brendan" at Razor Van Lines. They took my $1,100 deposit and I never heard from them again. Nobody ever called or showed up for the move. Once I realized I got scammed by them, I decided to cut my losses and rent my own uhaul to avoid inflated costs or any hostage taking of my personal property. They use bots on their website for fake reviews and I'm reasonably sure they are also using fake names when you speak to them via phone or email. I have numerous complaints filed with a few agencies and also a criminal complaint with the State of Florida naming the owners of the LLC, Charles and Michael Abrams. I got the recommendation from Budget Van Lines, which appears to have 2 different websites. The real one and a fake one (budgetvanlines.com/999moving) which backdoors to the real website using a slash and coopting their own email address on a server hosted by Rackspace. Either Budget Van Lines is in on it or their servers and website have been hacked and compromised. I contacted them about it, but nobody I spoke to had any clue. read more

PLEASE READ 1st This company is horrible! I would like to start out by saying what a scam this place is. You think they are professional people but they only do this till you sign your name on the contract and make a payment. If you don't read the fine print or have never used a moving company I assure you this is not the company for you. I was told after making a payment that there is no mangers to speak with they hired a third party company to do the moving they also lost our bellowing and have not contacted us back yet. They don't take responsibility for anything at all. This company just wants your money and when you find out how bad they are there is no getting out they keep your payment if you want to cancel and not proceed with them. They have so many complains on Better Business Bureau. In my case they quoted us one price and we changed items and asked for a new price but never changed the amount of space we get to fill on the truck so when the third party company came to load our things they laughed in our faces and told us it was going to be over $2,000 more than the $2,000 they quoted us we only brought out kitchen table, bed, tv and boxes and in a 500m sq. foot apt. They never called us back when we got over charged and hung up on us when we called to ask questions. This company should be closed down for how bad they treat people. I would never use them again. They don't know how to treat people and how to conduct business. I wish i could go back and re read the 20 page contract better and see what i was getting into before. I read everything so i know what i am getting but with them its just a trick of the eye. When we made changed they changed the price not the sq footage we got for the moving truck. When the movers came it was 7 pm after they said they would get there at 2 pm and they stayed till 2 am they were not professional at all they didn't want to wear masking during this pandemic This was one of the worst experience I have ever had. When you think moving is stressful enough this definitely put the icing on the cake. I regret this everyday still as they lost our blowing and we only would get pennies to the pound of what they lost that right $.60 per pound of what they lost! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! I wish there were these reviews before I booked with this company. At the time I saw no reviews prob cause they just keep switching their company name. They scammed us for more then $2000 back on June 26th. Just like the other complaints. They under quoted, tried to double our cost after showing up a day late and we ended up sending them away and having to move all on our own. Now I'm trying to fight to get my 'deposit' back for a service they never provided. Thank goodness we did it proceed cause from what I read they will hold your stuff ransom for more money once it gets to location. Trust me! These are real complaints! I have never written a review before but I am so frustrated with this company, I will be writing a negate review in every available venue in order to make sure others don't have to suffer the same experience. I wish I could give this company zero stars. After experiencing a high pressured sales call, I was offered and accepted a moving quote on 6/07/20 and paid the $610 deposit with the understanding that I would received a refund if I cancelled within 72 hours. I did cancel the next day. The cancelation email told me that due to COVID, it may take between 4-6 weeks to receive my refund. It is has been at least 17 weeks and I have yet to receive a refund. I have called customer service numerous times and have been told that I cannot speak to manager or the billing department. On one of the first calls I made to the company to follow up on the status of my refund, back in July, I was told that their bank accounts were frozen and under review. On another call, later in the month, I was told to be patient because their entire office had contracted COVID 19. During my last phone call with them, I was told that I would receive a refund on Friday but I did not. When I contacted them this morning to follow up, I was told my refund was "in review". I was very respectful to their customer service department and was cussed at more than once, hung up on after being put on hold, they put you on hold almost every time right after about 30 minutes to 2 hours waiting in line on the phone with only 10 people in front of you. Every time I called there was at least 5 people in front of me I called well over fifteen times over a 4 or 5 day period I was called a liar and finally screamed at saying they were absolutely not refunding my deposit. They performed no service at all other than taking my money. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU CONTACT YOUR BANK AND LAWYER AND GET YOUR DOCUMENTS SAVED ASAP THEY TAKE THEM AWAY AND WONT GIVE THEM BACK. This company is a scam. They make it seem like they are the actual moving company, and they are not. They are brokers. I paid them $2495.00 a month in advance, so they could hold my move date.The full quote cost was $5,600. The day before my move the driver calls, and says he looked at my list and needed more money. The driver told me to give him the full $5,600, and he could move my stuff. I called razor van lines back to tell them what the driver said , and they said he would be fired, and they would find another driver. They called another driver who said he would need $16,000 dollars. At this point I want my money back. The driver, and this company are working together to scam, and get more money out of people. They will not refund me my $2495.00, and never moved my items. I will be contacting everyone I know to not use this company. I will be taking other actions. There are a lot of people that I see have been scammed by this company. I am going to reach out the News, and whoever else I can reach out to. This is against the law.
