I recently treated myself to a haircut and straight-razor shave at Imperial Barbershop, and let me…read moretell you--it was the highlight of my week. Walking into this spot felt like stepping into a time-honored tradition meets modern vibe. The atmosphere is spotless and welcoming, with that classic barbershop charm: leather chairs, the hum of clippers, and a playlist that hits just right without overwhelming the senses.

Not from here. Went in and really needed to get just a simple line up of my growing out hair and…read morebeard. I told my barber what I wanted and he asked me before I could say it "do you want straight razor or no"? I said, yes all around. The next thing I heard was clippers starting. ‍ I dint say anything and let him continue. I came to a conclusion that he had not much experience with cutting different types of hair based on how he folded down my ears and cut into the flesh rather than cutting a clean half circle around the ear. The shave begain with warm shaving cream and and an almost face burning towel being placed on me then asked "let me know if it's too hot". I let him continue and was shown my face twice and had to correct him as to where my natural beard line was. Moral of the story is: when you are away from your barbershop and go into an unfamilure shop watch and see who can cut the way you are used to and wait for them, don't just fill a seat. I paid $53 including my tradtional "never go back tip" of 20% because he seemed to need it. Believe it or not the guy told me "I wish we would stay open all the time I gotta get my money". I suggest find the guy with a straight razor on his arm or the former Marine.

She's super friendly and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you enter the door. My son likes the vacuum trimmers as he doesn't leave with as many itchy hairs on his neck. The barber shop has a small town vibe and the nostalgic pictures on the wall aid in that vibe. The barber shop owner/operator is knowledgeable on current styles and eager to make the customer happy! She also accepts credit and debit cards. The parking lot and shopping center could use a major face lift! But don't let that stop you from checking out this hometown barber shop!
