I won't get into the specifics of my case, but I tried in good faith to work with my employer to get what I was entitled to under the law and they drug their feet and strung me along. I honestly feel that they were purposely keeping me on the back burner so that I would either quit or so they could medically separate me from their employment. Either way, what they were doing wasn't right and I needed help. I had done research on the what my ADA protections were and had familiarized myself with the EEOC guidance that they offered on the subject, but I didn't know how to effectively articulate to my employer that they were violating the law. What I found most atrocious is that my employer was deliberately giving me misinformation and would try to confuse and coerce me into accepting that their position was correct under the ADA when they were clearly in the wrong. I reached out to Mr. Piccolo and set up a consultation to discuss my situation and get his perspective so that I could fully understand my rights. I went into the initial consultation with an open mind. It was possible that I didn't have a case, but I wasn't entirely sure. I did pay a fee for my consultation (all attorneys in this speciality seem to charge a consultation fee btw), but I figured it was well worth it to get a processional's point of view. During the consultation he was patient and really took the time to understand what I was saying. I knew almost immediately that I wanted to retain him. Mr. Piccolo charged me a retainer upfront (which is standard practice with most attorneys) and he immediately went to work drafting a letter to my employer. I had been dealing with my employer for months trying to get my ADA accommodation squared away and literally within a few days of sending the letter, things started to move in the right direction. I asked Mr. Piccolo to continue to work on my half and to negotiate with my employer because I was frankly so sick and tired of their BS. He handled everything for me and was ALWAYS available to me to discuss what was going on with my case. Mr. Piccolo is a straight shooter and I genuinely appreciated it. I never once felt that he was stringing me along or trying to run up my bill with nonsense charges. He was always concise and to the point and was as patient as I needed him to be. And as for his attorney fee, it was very reasonable and he went above and beyond to make sure that I fully understood his fee structure BEFORE I paid my initial retainer. In the end, my employer finally followed the letter and spirit of the law, but it was ONLY because of Mr. Piccolo's intervention. I wasted months waiting on my employer to do the right thing and Mr. Piccolo got them to finalize everything within a few weeks of retaining him, and it was based on my timeline and not theirs. This field of law is very specific and it's not a specialty that you find many attorneys practicing in. If you have any concerns that your rights may be being violated under the ADA or even if you have no clue what your rights are, you would best be served to set up a consultation with Mr. Piccolo. The money spent on the consultation fee will help you to understand if you have a case and if you do, what your options are. Making the choice to do that was by far one of the best things that I've ever done for myself. Without his intervention, I would be without a job and looking for a new one. I wouldn't have known that my rights were being violated without his expertise. I am now able to move forward with my employer with an awareness of my rights that I didn't have before and that to me was well worth what I paid to Mr. Piccolo. I am genuinely grateful for what he did for me and I can say without a doubt that you will get an honest and hardworking guy in your corner if you hire him. He WILL have your back and that's a feeling that you cannot put a price tag one, especially when your employer is deliberately trying to skirt the law.

Price Beckstrom - Attorney Chris Beckstrom with me at court

This is my second time using this law firm for a legal matter…read more My first case was for a personal injury sustained while driving. I was very pleased with the outcome and monetary award back in 2023. From initial contact until the case, concluded, the firm and the attorneys kept me well informed about the status of my case. In this second matter, I was unjustly cited for a traffic violation. Attorney Chris Beckstrom took my case to trial. Along the way, Mr. Beckstrom explained in detail how the law in Nevada changed so that the State's burden of proof in traffic court adheres to a lower standard than it does in criminal court. He helped me understand how the process works when a person fights the system. He presented a brilliant strategy for my case and prepared me to testify in court. On the day of my trial I was very anxious (as most people would be). He assured me the evidence was on my side and that we would have a favorable outcome. After testifying in court and presenting this evidence to the judge my case was dismissed. Having Price and Beckstrom represent me saved me $400 in court fees. It also stopped me from having a moving violation on my driving record and having my insurance premiums raised. Thank you Chris Beckstrom! I would definitely recommend this firm.

The…read morestaff I spoke to were professional, organized, and responsive, and I talked to attorney Reed, who listened to my case. I felt exhilarated knowing I had an attorney in my corner fighting on my behalf and pursuing justice! Things worsened once I found out Reed left the firm, and Jennifer Fornetti took over my case. I should have known something was awry because she never talked to me or introduced herself, and when I left a message concerning the progress of my case, she never answered my message. Nearly two weeks is enough time to return a client's call under any circumstances. The only thing Jennifer did on my behalf was contact my former law firm to notify them that they were representing me, obtain the docket report, and request the police report. After reading the police report, chock full of lies, fabrications, exaggerations, inaccuracies, and omitted occurrences, she determined she couldn't successfully prosecute my case. When I spoke to Jennifer on the phone after initiating a meeting on Halloween's fitting date, she couldn't answer my valid questions. She parroted, " I am sorry you disagree with the law firm's decision, and I don't want to argue with you." It can't be an argument when Jennifer is speechless and merely parroted the exact phrase. I didn't argue; I asked valid questions that a lawyer seeking justice would have known and considered. There are so many details that the police officer omitted in the report that prove my arrest was wrongful, unjust, and lacked probable cause, and there were plenty more that occurred throughout my ordeal. Jennifer doesn't know about those details because she never talked with me or even asked me one question about my case. She read a bogus and grossly misleading police report, and she decided she couldn't successfully prosecute my case, even though it's an irrefutable fact the police arrested me for a crime I didn't commit. I have to give Bourassa law firm zero stars because they didn't examine all the evidence before deciding to stop pursuing my case. At least watch the body-worn cam footage so they can see and hear everything that happened. Had they watched the footage and decided they couldn't successfully prosecute my case, I could respect that because they did their due diligence. However, to drop my case after reading a police report from an officer who violated my civil rights at every turn is premature. A law firm is only as solid as the attorneys and the effort and investigative work they put in for their clients. Jennifer's work ethic, absent communication with me, and choice not to investigate past a police report were not solid. I filed a complaint with the police, and I am sure they won't fire or discipline the officers based on my complaint. They will do a full investigation before or if taking any action. When you represent someone, a full investigation is necessary to find justice and determine what happened. Unfortunately, Jennifer and the Bourassa law firm did not investigate thoroughly on my behalf, and that's not right. A case involving an innocent client should be far easier to prosecute successfully than most. Since we know I am innocent, the police are the ones that the law firm should have scrutinized, investigated, and tried to hold accountable! Also, Nevada is a state that rejects qualified immunity, so police can't violate citizens' civil rights and use qualified immunity as a defense.
