I don't live in this area so I thought leaving a review was important. I broke my upper humerus on 11/25/25 up at Lake Tahoe. I was coming to Portland to visit family. The scheduler called me back shortly before Thanksgiving, and got into an ortho on 12/2/25. They did x-rays and confirmed break. He also ordered an MRI. That's where RAYUS came in. I was able to get in on 12/9/25. All that was pretty quick seeing as how I don't live here. It was working with an outside scheduler with the ortho's office that caused the delay. Once I stopped waiting for them to call me back and called them, it was scheduled within a day. So ... for the review. They were great. I'd never had an MRI before and they took time to explain everything before hand. Don't get me wrong it wasn't fun and actually quite uncomfortable due to where the break was. None of that was on them though. They were kind, caring, and professional. This traveler is appreciative. read more

IF you can get an appointment, they are great. I have had good experiences in the past which I why I asked that my referral be sent to them. That was a mistake. My referral was sent to them early on 3/2/26. My doctor's office said that they would call me to schedule. It's 3/6/26 (4 days later. Still no call. I tried calling. The first time I was on hold for 7 minutes then had to hang up. Now, as of typing this, I have been on hold for 31 minutes for scheduling! THE SAME HOLD SONG PLAYS ON A ONE MINUTE LOOP THE ENTIRE TIME! I couldn't find another number to try or to complain to. I have been going to Rayus for many years for routine and diagnostic imaging and had been impressed with the group. I was, therefore, shocked, when I got a bill recently for a procedure that had been completed three (3!) years prior, for which I had already paid my copay in full. When I called to inquire, I was told the bill had been "re-opened" and that I now needed to pay more. I disagreed, and after being put on hold for almost half an hour, they hung up on me. I have now called back two more times, voicing my concern over a new bill coming three years later, and I am being told that I will have to take it up with my (now former) insurance. I am shocked that they can "re-open" a bill and charge me more after I had paid my portion in full. read more

The real deal is, yes the technician was nice and they had the right equipment for the job. I was trying to use FSA money and had a grace period until end of March from a December 28 imaging. I still wasn't able to use the $200 on last years or this years FSA since the insistence on having to use insurance over cash was demanded and not billed until May. Plan accordingly. read more

Type of care was good. Care quality was good. Office experience was good. What is not good, is their accounting department. I never once, in 3 years, have received a bill from them. Not to mention, that in the many times I've visited them, they've never informed me that I had a delinquent balance. They were small payments. I could, and would, have paid them easily. Then 2 years later, I get a $600 bill. What? 5 days later I get a call from a collection company. Are you kidding me? The last line of this notice, says you have 20 days. I tried for 2 days, to call them. After a 15 minute wait each time, I decided I would email them. Didn't even get the chance before I got this in the mail. I'm beyond furious. I choose RAYUS over my in-network options and pay OUT OF POCKET (with reduced self pay rate) because the experience and the transparency and level of cost are so much better than going to Legacy. My deductible is high enough that the cost matters in the moment. The scheduling is easy and the benefit of not being in a hospital setting helps me avoid contagions. Love this place!!!! read more

The VA recently started out-sourcing therapeutic injections. I was scheduled to get one in each hip. Upon arrival,15 min wait time, after check-in, not a problem. I was cared for by Stephanie and Dr. Israel. I considered both to be outstanding. They treated me with the utmost respect. They told me what they were going to be doing, and why. During the injections I was again advised what they were doing at each step, and why. I have had these shots 3 times in the past (this was the 4th time). These shots at Rayus were done with no discomfort, and worked as well, or actually better than two of the previous shots. Sorry, I have to say they tied with one of them, but that just meant they were outstanding in all aspects. They even laughed at my occasional joke, what else could you ask for. I was dreading the MRI I needed to get, as I've had them in the past, but never yet in Portland. I chose RAYUS because they were in-network and could also get me in really soon. There was a slight delay because someone forgot to contact me to schedule it when they received the order from my neurologist, but they got me in within a couple of days. I got to my appointment early, checked in quickly, and was able to start early. The technician, whose name I didn't catch because I was so nervous, was SO nice. He brought me extra water so I could take some more of my prescription Xanax (what I took hadn't kicked in yet) and very calmly and kindly explained everything that was going to happen. I am super claustrophobic and even with medication, I can't always calm down, but he made me feel so much better, I didn't even cry (which is what usually happens for me). He also pointed out that the machine they use has the largest amount of clearance for a closed MRI, which helped calm me down even more (I didn't look at it though because he gave me some clean socks to put over my eyes so I didn't have to see it haha). I had a slight reaction to the contrast dye at the end, and again, his very calm and pleasant demeanor kept me from freaking out (he suggested I take a Benadryl, which I did, and it helped almost immediately). Everyone I interacted with on the phone and in-person were very nice and helpful. I even managed to talk to their insurance person who explained exactly what would be charged, how, and when I should expect the bill. I hate getting MRIs but if I need one again, I'll come back here. read more

Fill out more paperwork, not sure why, I filled out preregistration forms online. 30 minutes after my appointment I ask when they think I'll be seen. I'm told my registration hadn't been submitted. They are not sure why. They submit my information, within 5 minutes I'm called to go in. If I didn't ask about wait time, I'd still be waiting. read more

Well you know it's good when you start off by walking in like they tell you sitting around for an hour and then being told it's gonna be another 3 to 4 hours so please make an appointment. Then at my appointment (after a long wait) they were... fine. Turns out They missed my fracture, took xrays in the wrong area (the orders were wrong but no matter how many times I said wrist injury they took photos of my arm and I'll be filing a complaint and leaving a review with Columbia medical urgent care as well) and when I called for diagnosis because no one got back to me, they said "yeah yeah nothing is broken follow up with your PCP" and never sent me the copies I requested several times. I filed a complaint with my insurance. Don't go here if you can help it. read more

Scheduling with them is extremely time consuming and frustrating. I have done many Xrays/MRIs with them over the years but things have changed it seems. Very noisy line, did not seem to know what an "artificial aortic valve" is. I had to spell "heart valve" and I had to explain that I have done hip and knee MRIs [with them] in the past with the "piece of metal" I have in my body since 1994! I had to call several times and my doctor also told me to keep trying as other patients had problems with Rayus... I will try from now on to convince my doctors to send me elsewhere. read more

Don't come here if you're trans. They cancelled my mammogram without telling me or the people at the front desk because "people under 29 don't need mammograms" despite it being ordered by my PCP. I waited in the lobby for over an hour for no reason. Terrible. read more

Pretty decent and efficient service. Clean, accessible facility. The parking can be a challenge, if it's super busy, had to park all the way in back almost seemed like another lot. Waiting room has tea, water dispenser. Wait times for X-ray reasonable to little wait. Staff was friendly. Technicians offered answers to questions and were kind with instructions. My dr requires imaging for my cancer condition several times a year. Pretty much every time oncology sends orders to RAYUS (and epic- the previous owners) they can never find it. Keep me waiting several weeks. I usually end up making several calls to them, then to oncology again. My orders usually have to be sent by oncology 2-3 times. It is such a huge time waster for everyone involved. I don't know how to solve this problem and apparently neither can RAYUS because I keep asking why they can't find my orders they gave no answer. Have orders pending now so I can't switch now, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Lied about billing. On checkin I was told "if insurance did not 'cover the cost' then the max out of pocket was xxx.xx. When I received the bill I found the negotiated out-of-pocket rate for my high deductible plan was much higher than xxx.xx. Rayus billed me the higher amount. When I called Rayus they claimed that insurance had covered the procedure and they could NOT resubmit the claim in ANY way. ANY other medical office CAN and HAS resubmitted claims on occasion (infrequently). So, the service and faciliTy were fine, but like other big corporate healthcare providers THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE MONEY and THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE GUY. So, buyer beware and you'll stilled get screwed because you have no other options for healthcare. As Bon Jovi once said, "Have a nice day." read more

I've been going to Epic Imaging for years. They are now Rayus Radiology, I generally won't submit a bad review, everyone has a bad day, right? I have never encountered a rude person, however having waited on hold for 54 minutes...and still waiting, the mixups with insurance, the wait times, the drastically delayed billing, the look ack of communication ...I will definitely use another radiology center in the future, this is just poor management. read more

They lie about billing and submitting a fully pre-approved MRI to insurance, then when you call and submit it for them they offer to hold until a response. Yet, still send it over to a b.s. collections. Not to mention that they charge at least twice what other companies do. It is cheaper to pay in full with other MRI providers, no question. I called and offered to pay in full while the insurance question remained and "my supervisor will not recall it from collections". 50 year old with perfect credit and history with no desire for anyone not to get paid and yet I still had this experience. I have used them several times, had a small wait, but nothing longer than any medical office. My problem lies with the fact that they took a payment for $110, then proceeded to tell me that they don't take payments there. Then, calling back again, told me that they weren't with Epic anymore, and I would have to pay Epic again and they would put the $110 I gave them towards my balance with them. The ONLY problem is my insurance paid them and I'm still out $110. I called at the beginning of this week and was told they would be sending my money back. I'll wait to see...... read more

I've been here before, so usually its ok. Unfortunately, today though, when I was scheduled for an 8 AM MRI, I receive two phone calls: one before I go (7 AM), which just tells me to call them back. I call back, but have to go through the answering service, who then transfer me to the front desk voicemail. Only once I get there, I receive a call that tells me that the MRI machine is broken and that they have to reschedule. WTF? This level of incompetence is unbeatable anywhere else. They could have left a more clear and concise message, instead of telling me to call back. And if they knew this earlier, they should have called the day before. And mind you, they tell you to call 24 hours in advance if you have to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Totally hypocritical. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I had my biopsy done yesterday, was super nervous and scared. I didn't know what to expect. The staff were very friendly, helpful and made it to be a comfortable experience. The 2 Julies, Sydney, Dr. Wallace and the ultrasound tech (sorry I forgot your name). I have a bad reaction to epinephrine; however, they were able to give me something that is epinephrine free lidocaine. I didn't have any pain (only a poke of needle) and they made sure that I was not in pain or uncomfortable. Thank you all! I am very grateful for what you've done!! read more

I was super nervous to go here since the reviews don't look good but I was happily surprised! When I called to make an appointment it was easy and when I got there the receptionist was super nice and there was no wait. I even got called back earlier then my scheduled appointment. The assistant was FANTASTIC. Made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I was there for an HSG test which can be quite scary. She explained everything that was going to happen and made sure I was comfortable. When the radiologist came in to start the procedure she was also super nice! I wish I could remember their names to give a shoutout! The radiologists got the procedure over quick and as painless as possible. I was super surprised at the awesomeness of these people! I went to Rayus for some imaging work. I received a bill after my insurance reviewed things and promptly paid the balance I was responsible for. Then I received a voicemail about an outstanding balance. I immediately and thoroughly checked my email, including spam, and hadn't received any bill other than the one I already paid. When I called Rayus to inquire about the voicemail, I waited on hold for 20 minutes (what's up with that?) and then an incredibly rude person answered and wouldn't listen to anything I was explaining to her. She simply said, "You signed up for electronic billing (i.e. email)," over and over again. She talked over me every time I started to explain I hadn't received anything, even when I explained that I did indeed sign up for email billing and had received and paid a previous bill already. I'm not sure she even heard that. I've never had such a weird, disconcerting "conversation" with any company, let alone one I'm trying to sort out why I hadn't received any bill prior to a phone call. I will do my best to avoid this unprofessional "business". read more

This isn't the closest Epic Imaging to my house, but with metal in my body, I needed a lower power MRI than the Beaverton office has. They were amazing on the phone as we discussed various concerns. I showed up on time and they came to get me right as I was signing the last page of paperwork. The changing room was clean and spacious and they provided lockers for my stuff. The actual MRI itself wasn't fun, not that I expected to like it. They provided me with a blanket, a few pillows, ear plugs, and headphones with music. The music wasn't great, but that wasn't why I was there. ;) What I didn't know was how close the machine would be to me since it was lower power. I was literally touching it with my legs and arms, which I didn't like at all. Thankfully, the tech only had to redo one of the scans after I got a cramp and needed to move a little bit. Hopefully I won't need more scans, but this was about as pleasant as I think that experience could have been. read more

My advice is be pro-active with these folks. I've been to this office twice and both times they were super busy out front. Be sure you have an appointment and get there on time or a bit early. Their check-in process is cumbersome considering the level of technology available for medical facilities in this 21st century. Also be certain that what your doctor orders is what the scheduler actually enters in their system. My recent scheduler added a few x-rays to my chart that were not ordered by my doc; I wouldn't have known about this if it wasn't questioned, then corrected, by the check-in person at the clinic. Check your insurance coverage before you arrive in person (and again while you're there). I was told mine would cover what was ordered, then when I arrived I was told it might not. The final verdict was, "we'll submit the claim and see what happens. If they don't pay we'll just bill you later." Not cool, Epic. When I called this morning to find out when my x-rays would arrive at my doc's office I waited on hold for 10 minutes then got dumped into a voice mailbox for the medical records department--not what I asked for, Epic. Staff on-site were polite for the most part but Epic really needs to train their schedulers to pay attention, and train their phone staff how to properly route calls. read more
