The Raynham Flea market is amazing for its collection of junk being sold. You'll find a warehouse building with many vendors peddling such swag as sports memorabilia , shampoo , auto parts, clothing ect ect . I think you get the point, I mean it's a swap meet. However I ran into an interesting bloke who had a vintage music posters, reproduction local shirts from amusement parks & vinyl (RECORDS). We chatted for awhile about 80's metal music and turned out he was the nephew of Bobby Chouinard. Now Bobby was the drummer for Billy Squire, you know the 80's icon. He shared some great stories about Bobby & Billy and even had a copy of the book he wrote about Bobby. Made me a great deal for $20 so I bought that and a few shirts from him. Super cool dude if you run into him , FYI... Well that was my observation of the swap meet and honesty I will go back. Who knows what I'll find there.

Are you the type of person who's idea of fun is going to yard sales? Then the Raynham Flea Market is right up your ally. There's free parking and admission is $1. Vendors are set up both inside the main building, and outside in the lot around the main building. (So, even if it's raining, the flea is still on for the vendors that have space inside.) There's a big assortment of items being sold so I was happy looking at purses & costume jewelry while my husband browsed Nintendo games & comic books. Not all the items will be stuff you care about. (I walked right by electronic cigarette and incense booths.) But, the thrill of the hunt is fun! I plan to come back later this summer, and bring some friends who also like yard sales to see what "treasure" we can find.

Five Woo-Woos for this Flea Market. I never been here (or heard of it) because I live up "gnawth" but my one, Moey, is from south "shaw" and suggested we peep out the RFM. I was game but not expecting anything of interest here. Au contraire, bro. Sure there was a lot of total junk and stuff but there were "billions upon billions" (to quote the late Cark Sagan) of geek-approved comic book stuff/statues, sci-fi and horror stuff, Muppet stuff (one couple even made their own muppets including Robin muppets), toddy accoutrements, retro records and hi-fi stuff, and much more. Moey scored a Pirate Kermit Plush for a buck that goes for 25 bucks on the net. Incredible. It only cost a buck to get in and there was ample parking. The outside area was decent but the real gems were inside -literally. Moey and I went into a gem store which had great prices on mineral specimens from teenie to large. I picked up an awesome 30-pound "sugarcake" crystal geode that looks KILLER on my end table with a colored light and my fossil collection. I talked the dood down from 150 bucks to 130 bucks. Moey bought a jade (CORRECTION: ONYX) vase and the dood tossed in an angel figurine and a mini crystal tree au gratis. Also of note was a plethora of junk-food stands featuring fried doe, corn dawgs, chicken fingers, chili cheese fries, 'za, pop, slush puppies, nachos, etc. It looked really good and mostly MTO and fresh. I didn't try the food because we were headed to an Oriental Buffet but next time I'd like to try the Flea Market food stands. Outside was a mobile truck selling live lobsters for a song. I wish I had taken more PICS but trust me that you will be amazed at the amount and assortment of geek/cool items here. Awesome. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SERIOUS COLLECTORS: This is a not a high-end collector venue. Most all items are affordable and are not particularly hard-to-find items or "grails." CAVEAT: No Elvira or Lynda Carter Wonder Woman items due to their high demand. However, you may get lucky and find something exclusive if you are knowledgeable.

The Raynham Flea Let's remember it borders on the town of Taunton. Yes: The Flea is filled up with a lot of stuff, you can't go there expecting to find something that you may need, you go there to look. It's like going to a craft fair but bigger and a variety of things Four example : for my father's birthday they have an Military Store and I bought him two shirts , A pin, and car sticker. I've also got pretty cheap sweatshirts there saying Boston strong, And team logos. For work I needed to get some cheap DVDs and that was the first place I looked they had a good selection at different places and got once I didn't think I could find. And for the holidays you need those stocking stuffer's that's the best place to go. I've Gotten ornaments, socks, jewelry, to even Fudge. For one of my cousins she loved Elvis I looked everywhere for an Elvis pocketbook. For my last chance I looked at the flea they had a stand with tons of Elvis products. I ended up buying her a blanket, a pocketbook, and an old Elvis picture( she loved it) I am an artist and I was looking for old-style pictures. I went to the flea and they had some and trust me they weren't the first place I looked. One time I found a Cap was signed by old baseball player, The person gave it to me very cheaply. My father loved the gift. So at the end if Flea is there for rainy days or sunny, for when you may be looking for something, or when you're not looking at all, when you're looking for something unique, or we have nothing else to do.

Whether I'm a shopper or vendor here, the Raynham Flea is one of my favorite ways to spend a sunny Sunday. Everyone should make a point of visiting at least once in their life. The sheer volume of peoplewatching opportunities alone is worth the $1 entrance fee. SHOPPERS: Casual thrifters will appreciate the wide variety of trash being peddled here. Tables and booths overflowing with goods line aisles as far as the eye can see. Walking around a place of this size is sure to keep you entertained for at least a couple of hours. There's something for everyone, so you're sure to walk away with something you had no intention of buying, but at these flea market prices it's a guilt-free indulgence. For the more serious thrifters, you should know that the vendors are all very knowledgeable about the value of their items. This is not the kind of place where you will score something worth $500 on eBay for $5. As a general rule, if you're paying more than $5, you're probably getting ripped off. VENDORS: $35 buys you a table outside for the day. At those prices it's easy to stay profitable. Show up early (6 AM) to reserve a good location and set up for the morning rush. For people who sell on eBay, this is the kind of venue where you can quickly move lower value items for $5 a pop. Flea market patrons aren't eager to drop $100 on anything here, even if it's a fair price. Vendors can also enjoy valuable opportunities to network with other vendors for buying and trading. FOOD: Apparently the food is the main attraction for a lot of visitors, but far as I can tell, it's just mediocre, artery-clogging carnival food. Maybe you're into that, but personally I'll stick to the shopping. Make the half hour drive out of Boston one of these days to see what all the fuss in Raynham is about -- you'll be glad you did.

Good vendors for toy, currency, and other hobby-style collectors, not too great for antique furniture. Regular vendors that you can build a connection with if you're into that sort of thing, and good people watching. A little bit of everything and decent food/snacks at the concession stands .

There are plenty of concession stands selling food that is not the fanciest around but it's good.

Omg this place is amazing! There is so much stuff to be looked at!…read more First off, this place is great to support a local business and not those Salvation Army and Good Will Stores. More packed here than any of those other places. I was (and still am) a bit confused... I guess the whole building is known as "Tilton & Cook Market Place" but each floor is a different owner.. or rather it's a business that rents out space to vintage/thrift stores. On the first floor I was told there were 5 different owners, but it's really hard to figure out whose stuff is whose and if you're entering another "store". Just remember where you got stuff. There is also a place to eat and relax on the first floor which is pretty cute, but I didn't look at the menu cause I wasn't hungry. People there were pretty nice. You really have to go digging around here (or in some areas). I was only able to get to the second floor... I think I was there for about 2hrs... there is just so much stuff! (I didn't even finish the second floor). From my understanding, each floor is its own "shop" (except for the first floor). But no one seems to have their own name... just "Tilton & Cook Market Place" or "Tilton & Cook Corp". Make sure to bring lots of cash... no one in the building can take credit/debit. And at last, the days and hours for these shops are all the same. I could be wrong on a few things here, but this is all what I gathered and understood. Im definitely gonna have to return. Such a great find!
