They sell all the extra bits too such as cleaners, sunglasses, glasses lanyards etc. They also offer scotopic sensitivity testing (sometimes called the Irlen syndrome in the USA). This is where certain colour tints can help focus print and written words. They use a special tint/light box to enable clear and true colour identification as well as offering coloured overlays too. It's a super service and makes a huge different to the wearers life. Parking is close at hand. They are open on Saturday mornings and closed on Wednesday afternoons.

The shop is clean, the staff are friendly and the opticians are always gentle. There are ample seats if you need to wait and enough glasses to sink a ship. However, you have to catch them when there is a two for one offer on otherwise it can cost £125 for a new pair of glasses. I wouldn't expect to be able to see an optician straight away, and especially not on a Saturday but once you're in they are very thorough. If you where glasses you have the choice of Specsavers or Rayners and although both are similar I would say that Specsavers in cheaper.

Choosing spectacles was made easy with hundreds of Spectacles on offer, starting from only £25. Spoilt for choice. I chose a French Connection designer frame and Pentax lenses for £99 and was given a second pair, completely free. This was my first truly satisfied experience at an Opticians, and I recommend any spectacle wearer looking for Good Service and Great Value to give Specsavers in Felixstowe a visit.
