Don't come here. I know it says veterans realty, but in no way does it help vets or Active duty…read more Husband was with them for about 2-3 years. The last tenant painted the garage an ugly orange color and the bottom room was painted yellow. In the contract with them the paint is supposed to be a neutral color and if not it will be painted by tenant before they leave. This did not happen. And we were told to be grateful that this tenant spent her own money to paint it these ugly colors. We had to pay out of pocket to fix the lower room and haven't yet done the garage. We gave them almost 3k to fix multiple things around the house, some of which did not get fixed. The door to the garage was broken and hanging off the hinges, but it wasn't the tenants fault for some reason...And when we told them that it wasn't fixed they took us on the run around and then when we told them that we wanted to speak to the owner then they sent us a letter saying that they did what they were supposed to and that they wouldn't fix the issues and that they wouldn't give us some of the money back. The tenant was given all of her deposit back despite multiple issues in the house that she did or caused. Please please do not go here. Waste of money and they will take your money and never fix anything.

The only reason I am giving one star is because I can't provide a lower rate, and they do have an…read moreagent named Marion Roland who is probably the only honest worker there. He warned us by showing us this rental in the deplorable condition of filth it was in, before showing it to my disabled father and brother who were to occupy the location. This company advertises "CLEAN" rentals. I am sorry, drawers full of mouse feces and dead roaches do NOT constitute clean by any definition. Mr. Roland showed us the property because he had concerns, and yet the realty company still felt that it was ok to rent this property out in this condition. We were interested in the home because the home had handicap features, and my father is paralyzed on his right side. After viewing the home twice, once with my brother and father, my brother and I agreed to pay the $800 security deposit to take the home off the market. My brother and father viewed the home on a Sunday. Monday I turned in the deposit. Monday night my brother called changing his mind stating that the home would be too much for us to clean and repair, because Veterans stated they were going to clean the home. I called Tuesday morning and spoke with Kylie Craft who with an attitude stated that the home was already off the market and the "security deposit" was nonrefundable and that the verbiage was in the application we signed. I shared my concerns after she asked what the concerns were and she stated that the company would do everything they could to make us happy. I asked for a copy of the application. She said to give her "a little bit" and she'd email it to me. She never did. We moved forward with the lease signing, paid the prorate, and another $800 in security deposit money due to my dad's poor credit. My mother and step father cleaned the entire home, and painted the guest bathroom and front living room in an effort to make the place livable. That was about $300 worth of labor and supplies. They cleaned for two days. I never asked the company for reimbursement. My father moved in officially on March 2nd. My brother had not moved in yet. Keep in mind my father is disabled and confined to only certain areas of the home. On March 4th, I located in the kitchen and laundry room, two adult unfed bedbugs. See pictures. Concerned, I immediately contacted a friend who is an honest pest control specialist. He came out in the morning on Thursday. He confirmed bed bug activity by confirming the bedbug photos, and noticing areas of the home that appeared to be sprayed and treated with diatomaceous earth. There were also areas of the walls covered in bedbug and roach feces. That afternoon, I went to the realty company and talked to Andy Williams, another agent. He wrote down a message for Kylie for when she was to return. She never called back. Finally, Friday morning, my husband and I returned to the realty company to speak with Kylie. She stated she did not think that we would be responsible if bedbugs were already in the home and her plan was to contact the owner, the broker, and their pest control contractor so that we could come together and discuss the findings. She asked for us to give her "a couple of hours". We didn't hear from them for another week. See pictures. During the period of us waiting to hear from this company, we located a total of 3-4 bedbugs in my father's bed. My father is coming from an independent senior living facility where he lived in a 700 sq. foot CARPETED apartment. I called the facility and asked if the apartment had bugs, they said no and attested they have not had a bedbug issue. You cannot tell me that in a period of 4 days, my father would cause an infestation where we are seeing adult, unfed bugs.Their correspondence was that we were responsible so we left. Turned in the keys yesterday. They can keep the $1600 if that is what it takes to never work with this company again.

I couldn't think of a worse company to do business with. You want to see an apartment available for rent? Be prepared to call a hundred times and get shuffled around for a week first. You have a question about your rental agreement? Be prepared to read a very confusing contract constantly contradicting itself. You want to see your security deposit returned? Fat chance, they're going to trump up a hundred reasons not to give you the money and then try and charge you more than two months rent to leave. I've rented for nearly a decade now and have never been anything short of a great tenant or had any issues with an apartment management company. This is a place of rental nightmare. If you want to rent from them you may as well prepare to donate a grand to their company and go to school to learn to repair issues with the apartment yourself.

Many of the Real Estate Agents when confronted with a vulnerable and ignorant person, will use unethical business practices. In business, you, the customer should be number 1! Get away from businesses that do not treat you right. In reference to my Real Estate Agent: It does not matter if they (the Agent) has hundreds of awards & many referrals. It does not matter about their 10 children, unfortunate past or their Religion. You, the customer, are number 1. They should treat you as their top priority! If the business does not treat you as their top priority, do everything you can to break the contract with the Agent or with the Property Management. Thank you Yelp and all the reviewers who have helped others avoid disaster!
