Dr Beddoe is the best. Have gone to him for a long time. Personable, warm and fuzzy but absolutely knows his stuff as does the staff!

My…read morebiggest CAUTION is to whoever takes a risk on Dr. Sandra: be careful, ask a lot of questions because otherwise you won't get the information you need, have her repeat any information you're not clear on. I won't go into too many details-- but my regular dentist referred me to Dr. Tran at Transcend Dental so a periodontist could take an ongoing problem. I was glad to get an appointment within a few days. I saw Dr. Sandra because Dr. Tran was out. She discovered the tooth was fractured - she said it couldn't be saved. I trusted her so we decided to remove the tooth that day. Unfortunately I was not given any instructions on what to expect. I've had extractions before but boy oh boy, this was different. They didn't tell me I was going to need stitches, until the Dr. was finishing up. The next week when something sharp began scraping against my tongue, I was told it's *exposed bone** and that the tissue "should" grow over it. "Exposed bone"?? I should've been cautioned about that. When the pain wasn't getting better the Dr. prescribed a few more days of pain medication. But the pain from the extraction itself was so intense that I had to start using OTC remedies just to get some hours of sleep. The pain took over my life. I could only take short naps, I kept a small ice chest filled with ice next to my bed so I could have chilled ice packs throughout the day and night. The next thing you know, the exposed bone caused a painful sore on my tongue. It felt like it was scraping it raw. I kept thinking "this is temporary, just keep working on getting it healed". I was doing everything I could think of. I was DESPERATE. The whole situation was AWFUL. These are just some of the OTC products I bought out of pocket to help me heal & get the pain gone $4. 38 Equate 4x Medicated Toothache & Gum Relief Gel - bought on 7/10 $7. 98 Kanka Maximum Strength Mouth pain liquid - 7/10 $3. 74 Chloraseptic throat lozenges throat remedy - 7/13 $10. 98 Colgate Peroxyl Mouth Sore Rinse 7/13 $6. 38 Chloraseptic spray (two times) last one 7/24 $12. 99 Canker-X Rincinol sore mouth rinse - 7/12 $11.95 The Essentials Dynamic Topical Anesthetic Gel - 7/12 $11.99 Revix Gel Ice packs - 2 cold packs $10.38 Ozark trail ice cooler The next week when I was still suffering, I remembered I had once been prescribed oral numbing gel. I called the office and spoke with the assistant- who basically interrogated me and made it clear she was having problems with the idea that I was still in pain. Although she was there in the room during the procedure, assisting the Dr. while she struggled to get the tooth out. It was fractured after all, so of course it broke a few times, and the Dr. had to use strategy and muscle to get it out! I explained to the assistant I was using several OTC remedies trying to get healed. I asked if the Dr. would prescribe the nystatin oral numbing gel because I'm already out of pocket around $60 and my insurance would cover the numbing gel. The assistant cross-examined me some more and went to report to the Dr. She came back to the phone and said the Dr. wants me to get Chloraseptic. I asked again, and explained I'm already using Chloraseptic and named some of the other OTC products I was using. I asked if she could please tell her numbing gel would really help with the sore on my tongue and I wouldn't have to spend more of my own money. She came back and said no the Dr. said get Chloraseptic. I could not believe it. Why??? After the money I had already spent out of pocket, what's the point of paying for insurance if I can't use it?? She wanted me to spend more of my money!! TERRIBLE! SHE GAVE ME ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING I WOULD BE THIS MISERABLE. ALL I WAS ASKING FOR WAS NUMBING GEL! NOT norco or lortab!! I WAS SO MAD. I HURTING SO BAD : ( I went to my PCP the next day and she prescribed the numbing gel WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT. She told about using a Q-tip or a cotton ball to put the medication on the exact spot. OMG it was the perfect solution and I started having less pain!!! ORAL NUMBIING GEL?? what did Dr. Sandra think I was going to do? DRINK IT?? THERE IS NO REASON SHE SHOULD HAVE REFUSED. She was in charge of my care!! : ( I REGRET ever calling that number and making an appointment at the TRANSCEND DENTAL office. WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I was truly SUFFERING. Even my PCP said oral pain is a whole different type of pain. I was just wanting to try some numbing gel mainly for the mouth sore/ EASY FIX. She made me feel like my problem didn't matter to her -- she's a PERIODONTIST --she's too important to deal with a simple mouth sore!! I cancelled the follow up appointment but a clerk called several days later and said the Dr. wanted her to call me and try to reschedule me. WHAAAAT!! I WOULD NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN. I'M TRULY AFRAID OF THAT LADY DR. OMG NEVER
