Went here for a medusa and a septum piercing not so long ago, not impressed.
When I walked in, he made no attempt to ask me if I needed any help etc, which I thought was quite normal for a shop nowadays. He seems quite rude to be honest.
I asked him whether getting 2 piercings at the same time would get me discount, as it does everywhere else I go. He answered, almost laughing, no. At this point he still hadn't even asked me what piercings I wanted.
After telling him what I wanted, he dissapeared for around 5 mins, then came back and asked the receptionist, not me, whether I'd paid. Even though from their pricing list I had worked it out to be £45, they charged me £50, but to be honest I was too intimidated to say anything!
When it was finally time to go to the room, he walked ahead, asuming I would know to follow. I asked him if I could bring my friend into the room with me, as A) 2 piercings was probably going to be painful, and B) it sounds silly but he was a male piercer, and I would have felt more comfortable with my friend in the room too. He said no?! I've never been to a piercing studio where only the person being pierced is allowed in.
After going into the room, the first thing I noticed was there were no licenses on the wall, no reassurances that he was qualified. I'm sure he was, but it would have reassured me to see them!
We agreed to pierce my septum first, through the hole that had been left there when I got it pierced a few months back. Alarm bells really started ringing when he told me he couldn't see it! When I look in the mirror I can see it, so how can a professional piercer not?! By this point I wanted to get out of there so I said to leave the septum piercing and just pierce the medusa.
First off, he didn't numb my lip. Not a single effort to numb it was made. I've had my lip pierced, so I know it should be numbed. I couldn't believe it when he just wiped my lip and put the clamp on. The worst part of the whole experience was how long he took to get the needle through around 10 secs! I was in agony! Nothing quick about this procedure, and I know it normally takes longer to replace the needle with a bar but he took a ridiuclous amount of time doing that too. I was in such pain by this point, that when he said he had finished I practically jumped off the table, ran to get my money back for the unpierced septum and left.
I would never go back here again, I feel so worried about the piercing that I'm actually getting my regular piercer back home to check it out and make sure all is okay. read more
