The monk fish in a lobster bisque...wow. Lamb was amazing as was the light dessert that had rhubarb, white chocolate and the delicious foam made from yogurt and cheese. It felt like we were sitting at the same table, which was very uncomfortable. I don't mind sitting close to other patrons in a casual, bustling restaurant, but this was a intimate, high-end dinner spot. We felt like we had no privacy in our own conversation. Other than that, we enjoyed our experience. It was extra nice to be able to get back to our hotel room without even going outside.

The Bacalao is a traditional and popular food item in Ålesund. The cod was perfectly cooked in a tomato broth with vegetables and potato purée. The Torsk was also cod but served gratin with vegetables and bacon. The soup was rich and creamy and the salad was lighter, with crisp lettuce covered in small shrimp and smoked salmon.
