One of the best parts of skiing in the alps are the huts. These aren't your Vail-style overpriced…read morecafeterias, these are legitimately good small restaurants perched on the mountain. Tölzer Hütte is one of several options on Brauneck, and it is a good one. The beer is good and they have some aperitifs and other alcoholic options (Hütte Koffee is delicious; coffee with Bailey's instead of regular cream). The menu was medium-sized, but had all the usual options (schnitzel, currywurst, kaiserschmarrne, etc.). It also had some I haven't seen before, that our group agreed were great, particularly the Tiroler Gröstl (like a skillet-meal in the US; potatoes and veggies on the bottom, a fried egg on top). The Hütte Suppen was also great: the broth was delicious, and it had a lot of meat and noodles too!
