I explained my situation, during which, he sighed multiple times as if to say, "I'd rather be doing anything else than listening to this guy". I immediately understood his message - that I was wasting his time. So, he receives a failing grade for making his potential clients feel welcome and comfortable. He didn't even try to do that. When he deigned to respond, he was smug, arrogant, rude, snippy, and obnoxious. At one point he literally yelled, "JUST STICK TO THE FACTS". Wow!! Okay, if I don't have a case, that is just fine. Simply say so. I am not an attorney and thought I had a legitimate claim. I did not call him because I was bored and had nothing else to do. I called as a potential client, and this is how I was treated. No sympathy, no empathy, just denigration. There was absolutely no need for the snark, condescension, and belittlement. If Mr. Browne is indicative of the behavior and character of the attorney's at Ed Fox & Associates, the firm's future is bleak. There are too many lawyers out there. You can pick a better one who is not pompous.

The Shimotake Law Firm came as a recommendation from a family friend. After calling the firm, Jason Shimotake himself returned my call not too long after. I explained my situation and he gave me a price-quote for working with the firm. I hesitated, but he went ahead and gave me SOLID advice whether I ultimately chose to go with the firm or not. His frankness and courtesy convinced me to go with the firm. He personally walked me through every step of the process via phone call/zoom. I had a few questions and concerns throughout the case, which he clarified immediately. Make no mistake: filing for chapter 7 is no joke. The courts require alot of documentation to hunt down and a couple online "courses" to complete. I can't imagine doing it without the care and patience given to me by Jason and his team. The price they quoted me for the chapter 7 was fair, but they were worth every penny spent. I highly recommend going with The Shimotake Law firm. They were an absolute delight to work with. And that's not something I ever thought I'd say about lawyers.

During the pandemic, things got way out of hand and I needed the best lawyer who not only do what lawyers do best, but more importantly, understand at a personal level of my needs to help me get through it all. I called dozens of offices and right before choosing my lawyer, I called Jason. It was the best call I made. I remember the first time speaking to him vividly. He was caring, understanding, and very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what to do and would explain to me in every detail and answer all my mountains of questions without getting inpatient like most other lawyers would. Because of Jason, I got my life back to where it should be. As if none of it actually happened. I would always come back to Jason for his service and would recommend him to anyone in a flash. Thank you so much Jason. I hope you are doing well.

He was the attorney on my best friend's mom wrongful death case in a nursing home. For 3 years he did nothing, didn't even hire and expert. Then to top it off, he tells her his firm is owed 40% of whatever she receives, the contract signed was 33.33%. What a shyster, a huge disappoint with no JUSTICE!!!! I had also just recently gotten engaged and wanted to be spending my spare time with my fiancé planning my wedding, not fending off a nuisance suit.  I called Peter Lubin and he picked up the phone even though it was after 9 PM on a Friday night. Peter and his partner, Andrew Murphy, handled my case expertly. They caught the plaintiffs in numerous mistakes and adroitly used those mistakes to my advantage. I'm an intelligent person, I love to argue, and I've often been told that I missed my true calling as an attorney, but I can't even begin to say how glad I was that I called DLA and didn't try to handle my case myself. I (like the plaintiffs) would have made so many mistakes had I gone pro se.  Peter and Andrew got the case against me dismissed with prejudice just 2.5 months after I was served, leaving me free to plan my wedding in peace. That's what you call "results."

I've spent the last month or so reviewing mediation letters that range from 17 to 45 pages or so long. They are not the same document, tweaked. It seems as if each new version is completely different and does not contain any of the careful edits we agreed upon. Last week, I found out why: He is apparently using AI to vomit this stuff out. So I've wasted probably 50 hours of my time editing stuff that gets replaced by the next AI convulsion. Today, he sent me a version containing three video links and he essentially stated that all three showed a document being signed. But that is factually incorrect. One of the three videos has nothing to do with any document. Rather, it discusses a home. I asked him to correct the error. His response: He basically put his fingers in his ears and hummed, and threatened to quit. That was about his fourth such threat in a week or so. Nobody should ever put up with conduct like this. I should also probably mention that my lawsuit was dismissed for want of prosecution and counterclaim was defaulted against me because of missed court appearances or similar by one of his partners. He was probably a great attorney. That is in the past, as far as I can tell.
