If it is urgent he will get you in same day. Nurse Carol is a real doll too. If your sick she will instantly make you feel better and if your just there for a check up shes always up for a nice chat. Also, they will take your blood here, when I go for physical each year they take care of me there. I hate going to the lab, the whole getting up early to fight the crowd and I am quite the fainter, I have to lay down and look away. Dr. Lau does a great job without busting my chops for being a baby. If you are new to the area I highly suggest Ronny Lau be your new family general practice physician.

A scheme to fleece patients into paying a fee REGARDLESS of the type of insurance you have. We have awesome insurance that covers everything. So my insurance will pay the practice top dollar and receive this fee for what? For doing what they are supposed to do. We will be happily leaving to find a descent practitioner of medicine that wont see us as dollar signs but rather human beings. Best of luck to everyone.

They had me go in the back of the building by the dumpster(receptionist direct wording and direction) to take a Covid test...I was appalled and disgusted by this, was treated like a subhuman. When they called with the positive results I was given nothing, just take tylenol, rest and of quarantine..I asked for therapeutics and they said no. I couldn't believe how I was treated. They are supposed to help and listen to their patients not be told take Tylenol and good luck....They are very rude and professional.

However, getting in to see him can be a bit difficult. Wait times vary, as he can range from being on time to over an hour late as he also works at two hospitals. He also only has weekend hours once a month, so if you need to see a doctor on a Saturday or Sunday, you'll either need to go to Urgent Care or to the ER. His staff also can be iffy, but that's changed recently. They are much better now. Overall though he does a great job and his bedside manner is actually some of the best I've had from any family doctors I've seen.

It is also very convenient to have blood taken for analysis right in her office. When Covid-19 made it's appearance in the US Dr. Friedman was right there ready to treat those who were afflicted. Dr. Sunkara examined me, confirmed the need for PT, and is guiding me in my journey to improve my shoulder function w/out the need for surgery. She also helped with my more recent knee injury providing medication and working with the staff to provide me with a brace and physical therpay with laser therapy. I've been sick twice now and both times I was blown off and told if I'm not feeling better in a week and they have an appointment they will see me. A week? Or I can always go to an urgent care. Luckily there was no one else in the office so that was a plus. I will mention he, Werthaim, said for me to see my primary doctor (FYI I don't actually have a primary doctor) or see a dermatologist. Whatever, but that's not what upset me. He recommended some blood tests and at this point I reminded him that I have a phobia of blood tests as a result of a poisoned appendix when I was a child. I would have liked a cream or something. He then starting posturing to me that he has 35 years of experience and that if I was going to question him that he other patients to take care of. (Empty office). Very cold, unconcerned and showed no compassion towards my situation.
