Then the guy we were dealing with said that they couldn't deliver any house to that property, that it was impossible, full stop -- then in the same conversation 2 minutes later, he told us they had lots of other houses we could look at that they could get to the property. Very strange. Too many other similar red flags to list. We love the idea of recycling houses but will steer clear of Nickel Bros if we do go that route in the future.

Thought I had it covered with Aarsen but finding a very VERY casual attitude around providing dates and/or actually showing up - without even the courtesy of letting me know if time frames THEY communicated can't be met. Painters coming from Victoria so really need to be able to depend on the gutter folks but now no confidence Aarsen will ever actually show up - seems like they feel they are doing their customers a favor by accepting their business. It was so bad and driving me crazy. This job was too small for others I contacted or they couldn't get to it for weeks. I called Homesource and Mark set up an appointment in just a few days. So affordable too. Mark replaced the hinges which helped immensely. That was the first of a two-part great job. After he left the door jamb started making cracking (?) sounds when opened and closed. I contacted Mark again and he and Nick showed up and fixed the issue for good. They were so responsive, professional, and timely...no waiting for 6 weeks, etc. Friendly, honest, customer-oriented service for sure. I highly recommend them.
