Our accounting firm is led by Enrolled Agent and expert tax accountant Ray Rathel. We specialize in providing you with tax help and tax problems, ranging from IRS representation to Offers in Compromise. Additionally, our QuickBooks accountant has been providing small businesses with bookkeeping services for over 20 years. Rathel's Accounting Service also specializes in business tax preparation, tax preparation for individuals, and many other tax services.

History

Established in 1998.

I started doing accounting and taxes in 1987. In 1991 I joined with a partner in 1991 and operated West Metro Accounting until May of 1998 when I went out on my own and created Rathel's Accounting Service. We have offered affordable and accurate accounting, tax and payroll services since that time. We offer detail tax planning to help clients reduce the amount of tax that they pay. We help people that have problems with IRS or the state of Georgia. We have been very successful helping people solve their problems at rates a lot less than the big companies are charging. We work with clients where we do all of the accounting and payroll. We also work with clients that do their own accounting by training them and then reviewing their work to make sure that they are doing it correctly.

Meet the Business Owner: Ray R.

Ray Rathel owns Rathel's Accounting Service. Ray went to Southern Tech for a computer science degree. In 1987 he started working for an accountant supposedly doing computer consulting work. He ended up doing tax and accounting work instead. He liked the accounting and tax work and went to Kennesaw State College to study accounting. He became partners with another accountant in 1991 and formed West Metro Accounting. In 1998 he left West Metro Accounting to start his own business Rathel's Accounting Service. He became an Enrolled Agent(EA) to be able to represent clients before IRS. He has spent hundreds of hours learning tax law, tax saving strategies, and how to help clients that have tax problems. He offers all of his services at a reasonable price and tries to make sure that all of his clients get exceptional service.
