They also told me that I would have to switch my primary care provider to one of theirs in order to be seen. Then they told me that they only do dental abstractions, and not preventative care, such as filling cavities. I was very disturbed by this, and I couldn't understand why they wouldn't offer services such as filling cavities, for those of us in need. I have Medicaid as my medical insurance, and through them I have Liberty Dental Insurance. I was determined to find help for my dental needs. I was actually able to find great dental care out in the Orlando area of FL. I also found out that if you have Medicaid insurance, you can schedule rides through them to get to dental appointments, through a ride service called Alivi. If you have Medicaid insurance, you can get help with finding a dentist, and with scheduling your rides to and from dentist appointments, by calling the number on your Florida Sunshine Medicaid card.

I had previously promised him that I would show him my DNA blood test report from a hospital in China. So, I brought my DNA blood report to a nurse practitioner at this clinic. If I remember correctly, her name was Allison. When I arrived at the clinic, the nurse who checked my blood pressure and heart rate was very unfriendly. My hepatitis B virus test has been positive since childhood, but it is completely non-contagious. The only restriction is that I cannot donate blood. My twin daughters were born without the hepatitis B virus. However, this so-called medical professional actually told me that she needed to report my condition to the local infectious disease agency. I was speechless. How could a so-called medical professional lack such basic medical knowledge? Even now, passing by this clinic still makes me feel very uncomfortable. She made me rethink what it means to be a so-called medical professional in the United States. I encountered this just after returning from my parents' funeral in China in 2019. This in itself was adding insult to injury.

The only staff member, Dawn is unfriendly, likely due to having to deal with irate patients, because this doctor has her booking appointments for which she is never going to be on time for. I was eventually taken to a series of rooms to check weight and answer medical questions (by Dawn) and was left with the door open in room number two. After viewing the deplorable surroundings, I decided it might be best check reviews to find answers... My findings suggested a bunch of fake reviews that covered up a trend of bad ones, which ultimately were true. An absent doctor, that made patients consistently wait for even the most basic of care. I finally walked back to the front desk and asked Dawn if there was a doctor present. "Not yet", she replied, which is all I needed to hear going on an hour and half later.
