I had some…read moreconcerns based on the negative reviews I had read here, but we didn't have any problem finding a place to park or getting on the bus. There were so many volunteers all around us, that there was never a question about where we needed to go. The bus ride is a very short one on a traditional school bus. I actually enjoyed it! I do agree with some of the reviewers who have mentioned that it would be a more pleasant experience if they would skip the narration during the cruise, and play Christmas carols instead. The narrator on the boat was clearly reading from a script, and she obviously wasn't familiar with it, because she stumbled over her words quite a bit. The lights are beautiful, though, and while it's true that not every single house is decorated, there are many families that have gone to great lengths to create a fantastic display of lights! What I enjoyed the most was being on the water in such a peaceful setting! There weren't very many boats in the harbor, and that added to the relaxing ambiance. I would have given this experience a five-star rating, but I subtracted one star because of the narration. It wasn't too loud, so that was a plus. It's just that the narrative didn't add anything to the experience because it was simply a description of what was plainly obvious for all to see. One reviewer described the crowd as worse than Disneyland, but I'm happy to say that wasn't our experience. There were exactly 2 busloads of people on the boat, so after the cruise, half of us went on one bus, and the other half went on the other one. Both buses were there to meet us immediately after the cruise, so there was minimal waiting involved. Other reviewers have mentioned that it is important to be on the right side of the boat, so that's where we sat. We had a good view, but since the boat goes up one side of the channel and down the other, all of the houses can be seen from either side of the boat. We avoided the back of the boat because of the fumes coming out of the engine. There is a snack bar on board that sells reasonably-priced snacks and drinks. There is also a restroom on the boat. The only annoying thing we experienced had nothing to do with the operators of the cruise. I only mention it so that others may be more aware of the people around them and show consideration. There was a lady standing behind us who talked nonstop and very loudly to her friend about her travels, her vocational accomplishments, her home redecorating experience, etc. throughout the cruise. I couldn't help but wonder if she even realized that she was on a harbor cruise meant for relaxation and enjoyment of the Christmas lights. As her voice mixed with the voice of the narrator, it created an unpleasant cacophony that put a damper on the serenity of the evening. I know I could have moved away from her, but I chose to stay because I had a seat near the railing. I would highly recommend this cruise, mostly because it is an inexpensive way to get away from the hustle bustle of Christmas preparation, and the proceeds benefit a worthy organization that helps school children.

I've put in a second request for a tour for two people on the date I requested, and so far no one has responded, so this one may also be canceled. At least two Viator representatives have called and sent email messages to try to get my tour confirmed, but they've not gotten a response. I also sent a message to the tour company asking that they respond to my pending tour request, but no response. I have given this tour company one star for poor customer service.

To start, Christine is incredibly thoughtful on how she helps plan the day based on the guests ages, height, and interests. We fully trusted her recommendations and tips, such as getting at the park at an early time, etc. We were able to do SO much: including coasters for my 6 year old and younger kid rides for my 3 year old... plus there were 4 adults who all had fun. What was most remarkable was that we really did not have to wait in line long at all, to the credit of Christine's expert planning, navigation of the parks, and her navigation of fast pass lines. Being that it's a water polo cruise, the priority for us was the coaching and playing experience for our teams. If your players are ready to listen and learn the experience is invaluable. Both times our teams left with new skills, well bonded and with a new appreciation for the game. The bonus for us was that the rest of our family had an amazing time as well. The cultural experience, the amazing Mediterranean food aboard the ship and the daily adventures were beyond anything we expected. Both times the crew couldn't have been more professional and helpful. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. It's such a unique way to explore Croatia and meet the local water polo community. But I noticed a lot of amazing upgrades from new and bigger buses to more LA stops and coverage. I see you "A Day In LA Tour" team! I just took my brother and his partner yesterday (Monday) and we all truly enjoyed it. Keoni (Kee) was our tour guide and driver; she did an amazing job! We learned a lot of historical and fun facts about LA! She even gave us great restaurant and store recommendations. We especially enjoyed being able to take a little nap after a great lunch and didn't have to worry about having to drive in the traffic and craziness. Lol. Kee was great at enduring that traffic and very accommodating in letting us know how much time we had to our next stop! Thanks Kee!! Oh and thanks "A Day In LA Tour" team for the parking recommendation as well. I was able to park in the garage the entire day for $20 and there was a Mcdonald's up the street we grabbed breakfast before checking in. If you're new to Family Nature Summits, this is how it works; every summer the summit meets in a different location of natural beauty and outdoor activity, you sign up, fly to the location and then take advantage of the group excursions and activities planned for summit attendees. Our first summit was in St. Andrews By the Sea in New Brunswick, CA and our second was in Lake George, NY. In each instance our kids were engaged and active all day long, taken care of by the loving and energetic volunteer staff. Meanwhile, my husband and I went on hikes, boat rides, rock climbing, geology and bird watching talks -- the works. We'd all meet up for meals and evening events. We all had a wonderful time. We look forward to our next summit every year.
