I had an issue in my house and call them. They came and half fixed my problem I called them about 10 times (literally) made another appointment but they never showed up, they never called me, they never followed up. I'm guessing it was not a big job and they didn't have time for me. I will never use them again, I will seek other options even if they are more expensive. read more

I had a couple of bathroom outlets that weren't working. My general contractor recommended RARE. I called for an appointment, expecting to have to wait several days or a week. I was told they could have someone there in about 1.5 hours. Lonnie was at my door within an hour. He couldn't have been more courteous and respectful. I told him about the problem, he diagnosed it immediately, and then explained it to me thoroughly. He had it fixed in no time. I have not received the bill yet. But I expect the cost to be reasonable. I'm sure I will be using RARE for all of my electrical problems in the future. read more

They didn't do much service, and they lack customer service information. I had an electrical issue, which I was gonna call PG&E, but called these people first. The electrician came out and was here for maybe 5-10mins tops, and as he was leaving, I signed the form. He stated "the form was to show he was here, and that I will receive a bill because he doesn't deal with bills", so I signed thinking that's all that was on the form. Aren't I the idiot for trusting him with what I was signing without reading it. I get a bill in the mail for $85, which was for the 5-10mins he was here. I called on 5/16/18, and this lady I spoke to was very professional and helpful, and may or may not be the person I talked to a month ago in April. Come to find out, that we pay for a minimum of an hr when they come out, which was NOT relayed to me at the time of making the appointment by the representative. I'm sure that "SHOULD" be relayed when making an appointment. Now here's the part where I made a mistake, believing the guy that came out gave me the honest truth regarding that form I signed. Apparently, my fault for not reading, my signing was confirming the being charged for a minimum of an hr. Biggest thing if you use this company, READ EVERYTHING because they won't tell you. Also, ASK FOR CHARGES related to them coming out or even speaking to them on the phone. The 2 mistakes on this company, didn't tell me at the time of appointment making there is a charge for them coming out, bc once they're there, you're already charged. Secondly, the technician not giving me full information regarding the form I signed, being deceptive. Although the lady I talked too today was very professional, nice, helpful and even tried talking to the boss about it, I will NOT be using this company again due to the deceptiveness by 2 of the employees during my experience. read more

They did a great job. I called for an estimate and they were able to meet with me quickly. They showed up on time each day and were really professional. They changed the location of our ceiling fan, moved electrical outlets, put in new electrical outlets and changed three electrical outlet to GFI outlets. I would recommend RARE Electric if you need and electrician. read more
