While we use both the swim and tennis club, this review is based more on the trails around the club. The trails are wheelchair accessible and easily walkable. While some stay on the main road, there are trails that meander through wooded areas or around the many lakes in the community. An amenity I like to see are trash cans throughout the trails. I feel this encourages people to not litter and to pick up after their pets. On my most recent walk, there were only two occasions in which we encountered another animal's droppings. There are two pools within the community. The north pool is more family friendly with multiple pools in a large slide. There is also a nice playground outside of the pool gates. The tennis club and proshop are both located on the north grounds as well. There are 4 lighted courts at the south clubhouse and 6 lighted courts at the north that are well maintained. The club houses offer workout equipment. The staff is friendly, and the lifeguards while young, do a good job.

Years ago when I lived out there and, lacking a pool on my 10-acre estate,- in the summertime I naturally wanted to go swimming... Called up the Club (the only one in town) and they asked for my last name. I told them and since they had never heard of me,- they told me there was a 5 year waiting list to become a member... Made a phone call to a friend who was a member and he said, "oh they just do that to keep everyone out".... Well, I replied,- how am I going to get in? "Don't worry" he assured me,- "I'll give them a call".... The NEXT DAY,- the Club called me back VERY apologetically and said they would be delighted to have me become a member! I guess my friend had the right last name!!! PS.. One day at the pool the lifeguard blew his whistle and yelled: "Madison, Monroe, Jefferson,- OUTTA THE POOL!" I realized that each one of these kids was descended from a former President of these United States!!! fun times in M-berg! :)

There is a workout area, park, and pool area for young kids and a full pool area as well. Upon entry we were immediately turned off as staff are all rude from the front desk to the lifeguards. The woman at the front was so brash. Cost Warrenton locals: $6 kids and $7.50 adults for the pool area, playground is free. They have family lockers and rooms to change in which is really cool. Everything is clean. Pool area isn't ventilated well and needs fans. It's more humid inside than out on a hot day. They also have minimal seats with broken chairs if you're a bystander. There are three lifeguards on duty which makes you feel secure in the size of the play area, some of them however have their feet kicked up and are talking to each other on walkie talkies so not sure how much attention they are paying to the kids. The kids had lots of fun inside and outside. Loved going down the big slide and playing in the water area. It is a good break for the kids and I would recommend it, as long as you know all the rules and regulations ahead of time.

It would be nice if more times were offered for classes but at least there's one Saturday morning class. Late afternoon and evening classes would be useful for those that work. Staff is friendly. Water aerobics classes are ok. Sometimes it feels like the instructor is rushing. As soon as you start a set they move onto a different exercise. It's quicker to do a movement on land than it is in the water. Because of that, I notice many people just do their own thing. And the instructors are hard to hear especially if you're completely to one side. Not everyone can be in the middle. You get out of it what you put in but the whole purpose of going to a class is for the instruction. I can go to a pool and do my own thing, I'm paying for the instruction. Having the toddler swim lessons in the big pool while having the adult water class is not the best idea. I understand the other pool was closed for whatever reason but cancel whatever you had over there or move the times. You've got parents and toddlers there for swim class, parents and toddlers there to just play (hanging out on the steps bc their toddler is afraid, waters too deep, etc an employee did ask one parent to move bc it's not ideal to hang out on the steps) and you've got about 15 older adults there for water aerobics....really? Adjust the times.

Group classes are not worth it as the kids are just hitting the balls repeatedly without being taught any technique. Luis himself shows up at the start and end of class leaving the class to be run by inexperienced high schoolers. There are also too many students in a class. As another commenter noted, they have very inflexible options for weather events. Administrator Oya Simpson refused a refund when we couldn't make the alternate class. Overall, do not recommend.

Then we got a snack from the snack bar and she made him go eat by himself in the grass section behind the pool "because of ants". My family is visiting from out of town, we are members of a pool at home and regularly go to the grandparents lake house. On Saturday my son was swimming from float to float by himself at the lake! My son is also on the swim team! I was completely fine with how he was swimming, he was with his uncle who is an adult, and there was almost no one at the pool! The manager embarrassed my son, crushed his confidence, and took the opportunity to override my judgement as a parent, saying she would not allow him to use 7/8 of the pool without a life jacket. She never asked me any questions and she never came and spoke to me, she just had another lifeguard tell me what she had decided. Absolutely disappointing. She should have expressed her concern or fear to me, discussed it with me, and asked me about his history with swimming, and then let me decide. Would I really let my son "actively drown"? Absolutely ridiculous.How she handled it was immature and cowardly and has affected our overall stay (we were going to go to the pool every afternoon).
