File your complaint against this law office and individual attorneys here!…read morehttps://coloradosupremecourt.com/Complaints/File_ComplaintAgainstAtty.asp Steer clear of this law office if you are looking for divorce lawyers. No communication! I have been trying to get a hold of Tim for weeks. Does not respond to emails, or phone calls. Waits until 20 minutes before court to even touch base. Total scam, waste of money. I just keep getting charged for things that honestly, probably aren't getting done. Just be aware NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR DIVORCE LAWYER. Update 7.6.2020 - my final court date was 5.15.20, and somehow I am still getting reoccurring charges to my card. Have repeatedly asked to be called in reference to my case, to no avail. Not only am I completely unsatisfied with the representation from Tim and the law office, I haven't received my final itemized bill Two months after the fact and I am still getting charged. Beyond all of the poor communication, my private information and court case information was sent repeatedly to the wrong email address. Update 8.25.2020... After getting nowhere with the business itself, I finally complained to the BBB which let's face it, did nothing and will likely never do anything. After this review, and the BBB complaint I somehow got another bill for services rendered last month and somehow racked up $3000 more in services rendered??? (courts been over for well past two months). Still getting charged, and still without a final itemized bill to show just how I owe $13,000 for something that even Tim couldn't explain what he did to make that much. Update 9.17.2020... Just waiting on my complaint paperwork to the Colorado bar association. Did the math and somehow my hourly rate went up. I signed a contract and have been rereading and rereading trying to find where it says rate was subject to change (it does not) I urge all reviewers who have had poor representation from this law office to follow up with the Colorado bar association complaint. It will leave a mark next to this law office and their lawyers to help people avoid this place. I wouldn't waste a cent on these people…read more In 2020, my Mom paid an attorney with this firm, Laura Petrelli, to create a General Durable Power of Attorney, a Medical Power of Attorney, and a will. My Mom made sure I had copies and gave me Laura's business card and said she would answer any questions about the documents that I had. In 2021, I did need to ask questions and I called Laura Petrelli. I was charged $100 for an hour-long consultation to ask questions about documents she was already paid to create. But ok. I paid it, and got answers to the questions I had at the time. In 2022 my Mom became very ill and very fast. I had to use the General Durable Power of Attorney, and more questions arose. Laura was away on vacation, and I kept getting messages back from her paralegal saying it was a conflict to talk to me?? After persisting and calling and emailing Laura for days, she finally got back to me to tell me my Mom had called her and left a message saying she wanted to change the POA. My mom was not feeling well, and angry at her situation, and this very well may have been true. However, I was still named POA at that time, and needed Laura to answer questions about the document! No legal advice-- just a question about how the document was filled out. Next, I'm trying to sell my Mom's house, as she had been admitted to a nursing home, and I learn that I need original copies of the POAs and the will in order to be able to do anything. NOT ONCE did Laura ever tell me this. I asked my Mom, and she also didn't know this. Mom didn't know where the originals were. She had a folder from Peek Goldstone, and it contains copies-- no originals. My Mom swore she was never given originals and everything she was given was in the folder. We looked through everything she had and couldn't find the originals. Laura Petrelli says she doesn't have originals and can't help us. My Mom has passed, and now I've hired another lawyer to help me get through probate. That's right. Despite the fact that my Mom spent hundreds of dollars to try and be prepared, it was all for nothing. But Peek Goldstone sure got their money. I know not all of this is Laura Petrelli's fault, but I do feel she could have done a FAR better job of leading my Mom and I through this process. And I do feel the term "money hungry" fits, since it seemed like I couldn't get any help unless I was willing to pay.
