I first was referred to Marcos to help me get the SBA Loans for my company. He actually got it declined and then blamed it on the lender. I went ahead and filed it myself and i got approved, for both draws. Concurrently, Marcos promised me to have my taxes done for me. I paid him for them then waited months until I finally had it. He constantly would tell me we will meet and then the meeting would lead to know work performed. Finally I got a refund!! This ordeal made me lose a lot of money because my taxes were not completed. I have been a loyal customer of Jackson Hewitt since 2004 until this year. Without going into the…read morelong story that has been the last 4 years their was a $8,000 dollar mistake made on our taxes and of course we were audited by the IRS. When we got the letter we went to Jackson Hewitt and we were told we couldn't talk to the lady who had done our taxes that she was only a seasonal employee. Then we were given to a total of 4 different tax preparers and each time we had to start from scratch. We asked multiple times to talk to the owner and were told he's not taking anyone right now. We were even told that he was too busy to talk to us because he was watching a new advertising commercial for Jackson Hewitt. Finally after there was no one left for him to push us off to the owner took our case. Talk about a very confused man. This is how simple it was. We bought the house in 2010 and applied for the Obama tax credit for new home owners. Our tax preparer credited the tax credit to 2009 showing that we earned the money in 2009 so that we could get the money sooner. We wanted to pay any taxes that were owed at that time but our prepare said we were squared up all was good. Please understand we never wanted to tangle with the IRS. We are the kind of people that claim married and zero and put additional out of every paycheck to go to both the state and federal government. This guy could not understand this at all, and we discovered the gold guarantee that we always bought would only cover up to $5,000 of their mistake and when you make a gold guarantee claim it takes months for it to go through. The worst part during all of the conversations with the owner we knew he had no intention of helping us at all. Im not saying this is a bad company but if you are going to use them for your taxes make sure you keep everything. Every paper, note, time and date of any phone calls made and what they were about. Make sure you always use the same person if possible.
