My youngest son…read morestarted here for what we thought would be one year before we started him in The Orchard School, which is where our oldest is attending school. Instead, the experience was so good they earned the right to keep our son one more year before heading off to Orchard. There were lots of little things I appreciated about his experience here: 1 - Healthy eating! Emily and her staff were consistent in their message that kids need healthy snacks and this fits well with my personal belief we are what we eat. My son came home asking for broccoli! 2 - Geography and pin poking - This is a Montessori activity that I didn't know anything about until his experience. My son completed a map of each continent, opening the door to talking about those areas of the world and what they do there, eat there, sing there, etc. We still have these maps up in our home and use them as a reference when talking about areas of the world. 3 - Reading and singing - Scott coming and playing Rudi music on Wednesdays was a highlight for my son. When he started there, my son wasn't sure about himself or going to school and Scott's music brought out my son's personality and helped give him confidence and joy for singing and learning all the new words, sounds and days that came with those songs. He really started his love of reading here, too, which I appreciate as an avid reader. 4 - Behavior growth - My son really thrived in a time where learning those social skills, learning how to manage your emotions, learning appropriate responses to others in those situations, etc. because of the guidance at this school. I very much recommend this school as a solid choice for helping your young child get started on the right foot for their education.

This is really a great program and a great school with such caring teachers. The pamphlets and…read moretour and curriculum boast many textbook accolades and the many a things of what your child will learn. The teachers follow the program but realistically it's still up to the individual student how much they will get out of it. We have tried creme de la creme formerly Children's Learning Adventure previously as well as had nannies and done the half day mdos and church programs. We took the tour here a few times and were wowed but not sold for the extremely high price tag. When covid shut the world down and day cares closed and nannies quit coming or were sick more than they were well we watched the primrose Facebook pages and noticed if nothing else they were consistent, reliable, and pretty great communicators if they did ever close. Neither of our workplaces closed during covid so we needed something reliable and decided to give it a try. We were still weary the first few weeks as we would get a few pics every morning of group activities and of circle time and a few individual pics through out the week. My expectations were too high for some reason I thought I would get more and daily reports on how our child did. Instead it was more this is what class did today. Where we see them excel is that even at the preschool level they allow you nights to come meet the teachers, see the curriculum first hand, ask questions. They planned a trunk or treat to be a part of the school community (the teachers went all out to decorate their cars) and know kids outside of class not just in their classsrooms, and they offer parents teacher nights. They welcome questions and made time for our concerns. They know exactly what motivates your child, their strengths and weaknesses and are great at assessing them and finding ways to help them grow and are working on things beyond the textbook materials. At that point in coming in and meeting with the teachers did we see how much they cared and how vested they are. Communication in the app doesn't do this place justice. Listening to other parents doesn't do it justice either. It's a great group of ladies here. They are loving and caring and attentive.. Being involved and getting to know and listening to your teachers puts a new level of respect for these wonderful caring humans. Our kiddo loves her teachers and looks forward to school and any activity that she will get to see them.

She expects the children to excel, and she helps give them the confidence to rise to the occasion. All of the teachers are quick to identify student's strengths and areas for growth and have consistently communicated his learning plan to us via daily notes and parent teacher conferences. My son was recognizing his letters when he first started Kindergarten, and is now able to read level one chapter books at the end of the year. His verbal and written communication have improved exponentially as well, and despite his naturally shy demeanor, he is now confidently reciting poetry in front of classmates and parents. The curriculum is top notch as well and we love the diversity of subjects that the school teaches. The school staff is also fabulous. Miss Erica in the front office is always there to help with anything the parents or children need during the day. I always felt confident sending my child to school each day. I can't recommend IMS enough!

Our daughter is entering her third year at this wonderful school. We have been pleased with every aspect of both her social and intellectual development. The environment King of Glory has created makes me feel like I am leaving my child in the care of family instead of just a preschool, a feeling that I never thought I would have.

I have two KOG "graduates" and one current student. Both of my oldest children left King of Glory prepared for every challenge posed to them in kindergarten. And, I don't speak solely from an academic standpoint. Learning what it means to be a good friend at KOG carries equal weight to ABC's and 123's. In addition to their every day curriculum, KOG is blessed to have a beloved music teacher and program. Also, there are many extras unique to King of Glory like Donuts with Dad, School Spirit Day, Christmas and Mother's Day music programs, and various after-school enrichment hours based around fun themes. The preschool years are such a treasured time in every young child's life, where play is still the primary way of understanding and challenging the world. KOG recognizes and embraces that and has developed a tried-and-true environment that I wish every child could experience. KOG rocks!

I didn't even know this concept existed but I have since discovered it's an awesome way to run a preschool. I started out enrolling him in the parent's day out program which was awesome. I wasn't yet a member that needed to volunteer or anything so it was just a nice way to try it out and see if we liked it. It was like 4-5 hours (I forget) for a seriously small amount of money, especially compared to the babysitter I was considering hiring for $10 an hour. He brought his lunch and played with about 4 other kids, some younger some a little older. Everyone was aged 2-4 and the 2 teachers had great themed activities laid out each day. He was shy at first but by the time the program was over in the Spring, he was chatty and had made new friends. He was like a totally different kid. So after that, I officially joined the co-op. I was sold. I'm reviewing this as a "customer" and as someone who sits on the school board. The thing about a co-op is: you're both. I love that I get more than just a small say in the stuff my son is learning. I love that I get to help out with the running of a school and sit in on his class about once a month. I think if I had gone the traditional preschool route I would never know what I'm missing by not spending a whole day in class with him once in a while. It's great to watch learn and interact with other kids. OK so one thing you're wondering is: what am I going to do with my baby while I'm helping out in the classroom? This crossed my pregnant-lady mind when I first found the school too. Turns out I'm not the only mother of a preschooler with a baby (who'da thunk it?). We just swap baby sitting days in a toy filled room at the school. I tell you, my babysitting day is my favorite day of the month. Just this week I snuggled a wee baby while my 15 month old zoomed cars around on the floor with a 2 year old and it was an overload of adorableness. Way too much cute packed into one room. My son has blossomed since starting school and he has learned SO much. I am amazed at his social development too. He loves his teacher, so much so that he has a teddy bear at home named "Miss Marlo". I love that there's a focus on learning through play, a large focus on science, healthy snacks and lots of outdoor time. There's a huge outdoor play area with so many activities. I honestly feel like I've become a better parent because of what I've learned from my experience at this school. That sounds incredibly cheesey but cheese or not, it's the truth.
