As both a mother of a child that attended Weston school, and an employee of Weston school, I could…read morenever recommend this establishment to anyone. Understaffing is a severe issue because they treat their employees like trash, which means the children get shuffled endlessly around to different rooms, even during meals/snacks they are forced to move from room to room, often having to bring their plates of food with them. The children are so disregulated and bored there is frequent fighting and massive behavioral issues that teachers try to quell, but with limited success due to the frequency and severity and the amount of students with issues like hitting, throwing hard objects and biting and attacking staff. My daughter started out loving coming to school but by a few weeks in she would cry every day and beg me not to make her go. She frequently shook, cried, and clung to myself and her father as she entered a classroom full of behaviors like screaming and tackling. There is a mold issue in the school that is not addressed, there are very little supplies, and almost nothing available to implement the curriculum. The burden of fighting for these items is placed squarely on the shoulders of teachers. We're frequently forced to come in sick, a coworker was even forced to come in actively vomiting, having to carry around grocery bags to vomit into in case she could not be relieved from the classroom to vomit privately in time. The cost is astronomical when you consider that the curriculum is not implemented in most classrooms, children play with the same bins of toys day in and day out with little variance while also being shuffled along in a hyper-structured formulaic day. The food is BAD quality. I frequently had to serve green bananas, spoiled celery, grayish hotdogs etc, and children never receive a full bun, only half! We were literally required to serve every "sandwich" or hot dog open faced or with a half bun because of serving size requirements. It was pathetic and every new teacher who came in had issues with the portion sizes. We also gave children water unfiltered directly from the tap. No filtration system for the water. I was prompted to hide refilling the water pitcher from parents because they KNOW it's wrong. Toxic environment for children and staff, stay away from The Weston School. Everything is a facade to look good for NAEYC meanwhile the children suffer for the school to look good on paper. Sad.

The cooperative environment was hard to get used to at first, because we are a family where both parents work. But it always seemed to work out, and the kids loved getting to know all the parents. It was a small enough classroom environment, and we always felt the kids were very safe and happy there. Our oldest son is still friends with two of the girls he met at GOCP, and it's been about 5 years since they all started hanging out together. The school moved out to McCordsville a few years ago, and the church where the school meets is a bit far removed, but it's a great facility and the playground is great. In all, we had a great experience and would recommend GOCP with two thumbs up!

The first time I called, I spoke to the owner. She was very informative and helpful, and I was able to get my daughter enrolled quickly. From day one, I have had nothing but good experiences with Goddard. My child continues her strong development, and is flourishing. I consider it a very strong endorsement when she can't wait to go in the morning, and doesn't want to leave in the evening. The few times I am able to pick her up early, she is quite upset and doesn't want to go home. I especially like how the days are structured around fun activities that keep the children involved and excited to learn. My daughter has been learning sign language, Spanish, and geography among other things. I can tell she is genuinely interested and excited to learn. Whenever we have had concerns or issues come up, the owner and director have been great at communicating with us in a timely manner. I cannot express the importance of peace of mind that I experience when I drop her off each day, that says it all!

This daycare spot is one of three under the Playschool umbrella. They have spaces for infants all…read morethe way up through kindergarten. For the infants, there are three rooms with eight babies in each room. And moving onward from that age, there are more and more kids due to less caretakers per child ratios. The staff were welcoming and gave us a tour. They shared the fact that they are open from 7 AM to 6 PM and you can drop off and pick up your child whenever you need to during that window. They also give you the option to do part time and pick the days you would like to attend. Each year, they offer two weeks of vacation where you can skip the tuition for that week. They also seem to have fun events like picture day, egg hunts, child recognition ceremonies, and more. We are happy we stumbled across this spot for our daughter.

This is really a great program and a great school with such caring teachers. The teachers follow the program but realistically it's still up to the individual student how much they will get out of it. We have tried creme de la creme formerly Children's Learning Adventure previously as well as had nannies and done the half day mdos and church programs. We took the tour here a few times and were wowed but not sold for the extremely high price tag. When covid shut the world down and day cares closed and nannies quit coming or were sick more than they were well we watched the primrose Facebook pages and noticed if nothing else they were consistent, reliable, and pretty great communicators if they did ever close. Neither of our workplaces closed during covid so we needed something reliable and decided to give it a try. We were still weary the first few weeks as we would get a few pics every morning of group activities and of circle time and a few individual pics through out the week. My expectations were too high for some reason I thought I would get more and daily reports on how our child did. Instead it was more this is what class did today. Where we see them excel is that even at the preschool level they allow you nights to come meet the teachers, see the curriculum first hand, ask questions. They planned a trunk or treat to be a part of the school community (the teachers went all out to decorate their cars) and know kids outside of class not just in their classsrooms, and they offer parents teacher nights. They welcome questions and made time for our concerns. They know exactly what motivates your child, their strengths and weaknesses and are great at assessing them and finding ways to help them grow and are working on things beyond the textbook materials. At that point in coming in and meeting with the teachers did we see how much they cared and how vested they are. Communication in the app doesn't do this place justice. Listening to other parents doesn't do it justice either. It's a great group of ladies here. They are loving and caring and attentive.. Being involved and getting to know and listening to your teachers puts a new level of respect for these wonderful caring humans. Our kiddo loves her teachers and looks forward to school and any activity that she will get to see them.

She expects the children to excel, and she helps give them the confidence to rise to the occasion. All of the teachers are quick to identify student's strengths and areas for growth and have consistently communicated his learning plan to us via daily notes and parent teacher conferences. My son was recognizing his letters when he first started Kindergarten, and is now able to read level one chapter books at the end of the year. His verbal and written communication have improved exponentially as well, and despite his naturally shy demeanor, he is now confidently reciting poetry in front of classmates and parents. The curriculum is top notch as well and we love the diversity of subjects that the school teaches. The school staff is also fabulous. Miss Erica in the front office is always there to help with anything the parents or children need during the day. I always felt confident sending my child to school each day. We love play school at Saxony! Our daughter has been going here since she was 4months old (she's 2…read morenow) and she has absolutely loved it! Our son (7mo now) has been going since he was 3mo old and I have peace of mind knowing he's well cared for in the infant room. They don't just put your baby in a bouncer and call it a day. They interact with the babies and give them age appropriate activities to make sure they're hitting their milestones and giving them love and attention. My daughter has loved all of her teachers and even grown a special bond with one of the teachers she's gotten to have in her infant room and her toddler room. It's the sweetest! The toddler room seems so fun for our new 2 year old with lots of arts and crafts and learning activities (she learned how to count to five in what seemed like a week)! They also have a Spanish class every day which I love. The new gym they recently added on is really nice for the kids during gym time- it's just like an elementary size school gym so lots of room for kids to get rid of energy. The building is well kept and they've been doing upgrades as needed- they just got new floors. The staff has always been very kind and helpful! Krista the director has been amazing! Where do I even begin with Meridian Hills Cooperative? My family and I love this little school so…read moremuch. This is going to sound overly dramatic, but it aint no lie: Enrolling my child into this school has probably been one of the best decisions I've made since moving to Indiana. We just finished the 4s class, which was our first foray into any type of schooling. Meridian Hills Cooperative is play-based, which means that the kids learn through exploring, building, creating, moving their bodies, and just plain being kids. The teachers do not push the kids to do anything (as in, they aren't receiving formal lessons in the 4s class) -- instead, the teacher invites each child to participate, and lets them join in whenever they feel comfortable. Each child is valued for whatever stage they're at in life. Similarly, each type of personality -- from super shy guys to boisterous kids to everything in between -- is cherished and respected. A huge plus about the school is that they value playing outdoors. They will tell you straight up when you go for a tour: We play outside in all types of weather! The only time the kids won't play outside is if the weather is dangerous, such as during thunderstorms, or if the windchill is in the single digits. Otherwise, kids bring their snow clothes, rain boots and other outdoor gear because they know they'll be playing outside, rain or shine! Meridian Hills Cooperative is a co-op, which means that parents participate in the classes on a rotating basis. I love this aspect of the school because you really get to know your child's classmates, and in turn, the other parents really get to know YOUR child very well. It's very much like an extended family, with everyone invested in each other's well being. One of the most unique aspects of Meridian Hills is the Kindergarten class. This school is one of the only in the Indianapolis area that offers a part-time Kindergarten. (It meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.) On Thursdays, the class spends all day outdoors in the "forest Kindergarten" area, which is basically set up to be an outdoor classroom. So the kids get to learn while feeling the cool breeze, hearing the birds chirping and feeling the earth under their feet. It is such an amazing space, and an amazing way for kids to learn. I feel like I could go on and on about Meridian Hills, but it's just one of those things you have to check out yourself. I'm probably the most jaded and cynical person I know, but whenever I talk to people about this school, I get super mushy and emotional recounting all the ways I love this school and how much my child has grown and blossomed because of it. It's truly been a blessing in our lives.

After looking at multiple Montessori schools and not finding many other options, I was delighted to find MHCNS. As soon as I arrived, I knew I had found something special. The spacious outdoor playground is like no other I've seen in the area (and there are hiking trails, too!). Once inside, I was impressed by the "block room" full of wooden toys for building, the "art room" with easels set up and a table full of homemade play dough, and a third room where the children were enjoying board games and reading in little groups. And then I met the teachers. There are three, and they are all amazing. They have history with the school, an easy rapport with the children, and they believe in the power of play. I was also impressed that this school has a half-day kindergarten available. As a cooperative (and member of Indiana Council of Preschool Cooperatives), this preschool is run by parents. One of your child's caregivers will help out in the classroom once or twice a month and take on a "job" within the school. Your job could be anything from organizing the Fall Picnic to ordering the art supplies for your child's classroom or caring for the class pet. My daughter loves seeing me in her classroom, and it really gives me a better sense of what she is experiencing and what I can do to help her grow. MHCNS offers parent education nights and a two day training workshop. Since all of the parents are so involved with the school, you really get to know the other families and create lasting friendships. Overall, I feel that being part of this school has not only been beneficial to my daughter, it has also made me a better parent.
