pelican roofing doesn't have carpenters per Kit or Kid. they hit three gas lines in my attic,…read morecausing a severe gas leak that was near deadly in my home and could've blown up my entire neighborhood and that is witnessed by the gas company. They tore off pieces of my chimney and when they nailed it back, that is where the nails went through the chimney they don't carpenters and can't paint it so I'm not quite sure of what they had on my roof nailing stuff if they don't have carpenters working for them, but it was nothing but non-English speaking people and there was not an English speaking person on my the day and a half that they were here, but they managed to speak three sentences of cursing when something went wrong. I am assuming that they knew they a gas line at some point when things started hissing because the gas people when they detected the gas leak heard the hissing coming from the chimney. Pelican Roofing accepted responsibility to reconnect the should've connected from the hot water heater to the they did not reconnect the gas or light the hot water caused me to have to hire someone to come out and reconnect the gas and hot water heater and they pay for it at the time and still have not paid for it. They are refusing to pay for the other two gas leaks that they prior to were no gas leaks when I moved in this house and there were no gas according to the prior owner and she witnessed that the gas bill shot up $200 over just a few days. Pelican was hired by the prior owner prior to close of this home and not hired by me so they are in for a rude awakening by the time we get through with them. They made a promise that they would do a good job on this home and that did not include tearing the place up. They want to turn around and blame it on building code . Well, if that's the case, no one in points of view should ever use them ever again for fear of building code violations, and maybe no one in Lafayette Parish should ever use them again in fear of building code violations. If Pelican Roofing wants to fight a war, picked wrong person to fight with because I will fight them and so will the old owner of this home that hired them.

The project involved a lot of different aspects, including a roof line extension. And in addition to the exterior, Fredy's team took care of the interior, which involved building out an enclosed closet, carpeting, wood-flooring, lighting, electrical and more. They were extremely professional and Fredy's communication as the project progressed was perfect. Everybody that has seen our new addition expresses their surprise at well it fits in - like its been there the whole time. Corey came out to move a bathtub drain a couple of inches and to install the new tub. A helper…read moreshowed up and broke out the concrete. Corey left and came back later. They both had to leave at 1:30 and stated that they had 15 more minutes of work on the drain and wanted to come back the next day (July 4th). We told them that we had company coming so we would wait till Monday, but they insisted that the helper would come @ 8:30 or 9 and would be done in 15 minutes.He didn't show until 10:30 and stayed for 1 1/2 hours because he kept having a leak. We had to keep turning the water on and off at the main valve even though we had company over for lunch. Then he handed us a bill even though the work was not complete. The work done till this point was $1070...for moving a drain. We had called the office and asked for the cost and was told $130 per hour, however we were charged $180 per hour for the 4 1/2 hours on the 3rd and $140 per hour for the 1 1/2 hours on the 4th. We called the office and asked the office manager how much for 1 plumber (her answer was $130) and how much for 2 plumbers (she said $150). When we questioned them about charging inflated charges, their answer was they got more because they came in 2 trucks. Really??? Now no one will return our calls, the drain was not moved to the correct place (they were 2 inches off in one direction and 1 inch off in the other direction, so the drain for the new tub still did not fit.) We had to alter the base of the tub to accommodate their mistake. 2 1/2 weeks later they still have not shown up to finish the job and they will not return our phone calls. Very bad customer service. Poor workmanship.
