After working with a number of attorneys and being disappointed, Jack Riley is by far the best. In addition to being smart and understanding family law, he is extremely responsive. Unlike other attorneys, Jack does not overload himself with cases, and this allows him to stay on top of things and keep you up-to-date on the status of the case. He's also compassionate, and is a true advocate. Jack was referred to us by another Conroe family attorney who we considered but he did not have the cycles for our case. If you're tired of attorneys who don't follow through and put your case in jeopardy, hire Jack.

I am disappointed that he made a bunch of claims in our first meeting and then later backed down in mediation. My biggest complaint, however, is the lack of communication. His instructions about pre-trial events and actions left me very confused and cost me time and money. Everything was settled in mediation and Mr Phillips said I would have final documents to sign within a week. I waited patiently. Then finally SIX WEEKS LATER I started asking for my final papers. It has now been two months and I am finally able to sign my papers.

The Bowen Law Firm cares about one thing and one thing only: your money. I was fortunate that my…read morechildren's custody case was as straightforward as it was, because if it hadn't been, I would have needed a second job just to cover their fees. From the start, it became clear that they were more interested in racking up billable hours than actually helping me and my child through this difficult process. Every single interaction was an opportunity for them to charge me. Every minute of a phone call, every single email sent or received, every moment spent on even the smallest of tasks -- it was all billed at an exorbitant rate. When my lawyer was let go unexpectedly, I was shocked to learn that they charged me to bring the new attorney up to speed on my case. I couldn't believe it -- after all the money I'd already spent, they were essentially holding me hostage with even more charges. It felt like they were dragging things out intentionally to milk every last dollar from me. This firm is not interested in your well-being or the best interests of your children; they are only interested in their bottom line. They will string you along, offering false hope and empty promises, all while ensuring their invoices keep growing. I deeply regret ever hiring them and would advise anyone considering their services to think twice. Your case deserves better than to be treated like a cash cow.

I feel monetarily violated and even thinking of reporting him to the bar. Tries to sell you on how committed he is to you, but the minute you walk out the door, you never hear from him again. Tried to make you feel like he understands and cares, and didn't even show up to my mediation - he passed it to an attorney I'd never met. And when he did dial in from the car, he interrupted me when talking. It's also very distracting to see his color keep turning more and more orange - lay off the tanning bed!
