I was impressed with the fact the cost was cheaper than Colorado State Technical College .I read a…read morereview from 2014 , that stated OCCC would not give the graduating class transcripts? this could be easily done using parchment.com .As I am still a active student I can not verify this as true. My experience with the school has not been all that bad teachers work hard to help you in learning. The campus is clean and small enough you can soon find everything. it has a union hall for students to gather and hear from guest speakers. A theater, gymnasium and Olympic sized pool. It also has campus police and even a theater much to enjoy,if you have the time . They have student focus groups you can become a part of. They help you in finding employment as a active student. They are helpful in transitioning students to a four year college . You can see it has good perks. I am sure it has had people that were not a good fit employed there. They hire a lot of students who may have not yet learned the value of professionalism or even how to add. There has to be a desire to learn the information is presented. this is not the fault of lack of education but lack of motivation. maturity is a process and not something you inherit or are born with. I see work study as a way to teach responsibility and realize we should not complain but ask to speak to a supervisor and pass on the information so that the student could be taught correctly.

Do not go here. Staff is rude. It is hard to get into any classes. On top of that, getting a refund due to a death in the family is the hardest situation. It takes months, and you have to jump through hoops and loops to even hear back as to why its taken months to receive anything, even if youre refund application has been accepted. This "community college" makes everything 1000000x harder. Your life would be much easier at a university at that point. I would give this place NO stars if possible. Staff is not freindly and advisors are even worse. Very rude and negative experience all around. Much rather UCO or Redlands community college. Your life will be SO much easier.

I toured the new Midtown address of the OCU School of Law recently to check it out as a potential…read morelocation for Yelp events. First of all, I can say that all the trouble everyone went to to move the school to Midtown was well worth them effort. Students and professors will benefit from all that's happening down here, and the community at large will benefit from the up-and-coming professionals having a vested interest in continued improvement in the area, not to mention the dollars they'll all spend in the area when they're not in class. As a venue for special events, the exterior is impressive, the interior stately and it is centrally-located for folks. I can see hosting many different types of events here. It would be a perfect venue for something like a wine or cocktail tasting event or class. It's probably not a good fit for a 400 person, open bar extravaganza. It's probably also a little too business-y for a wedding. I mean, its a school, and it's also home to lots of employees who make the school work (think, office trappings), so you probably could not make it formal enough for a wedding. But for a fundraiser, or book-signing or a lecture, I think it is perfect. They do reserve the right to have complete say over who is able to use it, and for what purpose, but I think that's pretty standard practice for a university. The large patio at the front of the building is actually a very cool space and would make for an awesome event. I'd love to host something out there sometime, providing I could use the interior space as a back-up, since I've learned that you absolutely always have to have a back-up in the event of weather.
