I have been away from church for a few years. I need God back in my life. I used to attend "Rancho Christian" Church, it felt like home. Today I attended Rancho Church (renamed without the Christian in their name). The 90 min service was centered on Finding God thru Art. Wait, huh? Little or nothing from the word of God, Pastor Scott went on to talk about U2 and the Streets w no Name song. What?.... I enjoy worship music, but please have references to the bible, the word of God. I was honestly, completely lost and left completely disappointed. A friend of mine told me they left Rancho because they felt they have gone commercial and have chosen to try to appeal to the California masses rather than the absolute word of God and the bible. Perhaps this was a one off day/service, but dropping "Christian" from the name should have been a clue. I feel they have lost their way. I really struggled with writing this review, but Pastor Scott should know the new direction is confusing and quite off putting. I leave this as a reminder ,Timothy 4:3 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. **Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears WANT to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. If anyone has a good recommendation for a church which follows the traditional Christian word, with worship music, please let me know. Unfortunately, I wont be back to Rancho.

I really liked it... but I did want to try a few other churches in the area before I settle in somewhere. I really like the aesthetic of this church. It's what drew me here. Honestly the location was a bit difficult to get to... it's right off the freeway pretty much and I should have seen that as God speaking to me... cause that automatically being difficult made me think "I wouldn't want to drive this way again...." Anyways... it's a beautiful church. However, I felt the presence of God really lacking here.... The worship was SO rushed.... It was actually stressful. The tempo was faster than the original song for Way Maker, it made it really hard to relax and focus... though I tried my best the whole service to make my visit about God and not my preference.... So I could at leave with something and take something away as I came to be encouraged and worship. It just made it very hard to focus.. I don't know who spoke today. And I give the guy props, because I know talking to a crowd is a lot harder than it looks. But I felt the message had a great message, however, was lacking with scriptural backing... it could have been a really powerful message had there been more time given to it and more scripture to give background and a firm standing... the message was not built on sound doctrine. He was talking about the anti christ and talking about that he's going to be a political leader and as soon as I heard that I knew not to listen to the message anymore.... There was also no scripture shared to back what he was saying about the anti christ..... we don't know. We won't know. But I do believe as believers we will continue to see things God shows us to remind us He is coming... like with Covid and the vaccine. there are "many anti christs" the Bible says... the anti christ is anyone who does not confess Jesus is Lord. 1 John 4. He's already here. I wanted to leave so bad but I didn't want to get up and be rude. The best part of the service was this Asian lady sat next to me and she was so friendly and I don't think she really spoke English but I was so happy she sat next to me. Shoutout to the dude who spoke today, tho, you really had some great points; just felt very pretentious and there wasn't any scriptural backing for majority of the things you were saying. I want to see scripture. I want to go deep into the word. I'm not interested in hearing someone talk about their opinions. Give me the word. Not just one, two, three single verses scattered across multiple books.... It doesn't built a strong foundation or depth to the message but you really had something powerful God gave you about the stump and something growing out of whats dead. Thank you so much for sharing. I left today feeling like I did not spend time with God and I went to a performance. Slow down, take a breath.... It felt very pretentious and an intense need to be intelligent... you're doing awesome and have a great church just slow down and come back to what's really important...

The grounds were breathtaking and the people were friendly enough (i am typically standoff-ish so no judgement on them). In fact I appreciate them not being overly friendly and risk making me uncomfortable. I love the amount of structure they have put into their collective efforts within this building and I feel that it is an adequate reflection of the values of a truly Bible believing church. Its enough structure without being "legalistic". I saw some rather one sides one star reviews of this place and am glad I had the opportunity to come and see for myself and form my own opinion. I have been formally rebuked in my hometown and by the local churches in that area and today was my first time in a new church in a new community and though I was absolutely nervous showing up (and had to fight with myself to stay) I am glad I did. Well worth the effort and an absolute pleasure to say the least. Looking forward to mens bible study group tomorrow!

On multiple occasions, I have noticed that their staff seems unwelcoming to children. Not only do they not allow children in the sanctuary, but I have also experienced difficulty when my child was on the outside, the back area, supervised and not in Sunday school. When I politely approached staff member/usher, Jeff regarding these rules, he became very hostile, even telling us to leave the church, watch the service from home, or find another church. I just wanted to understand why would the outside area be under such rigid and unreasonable standards, when there is a sanctuary and inside area for absolute silence and no movement-allowed policies. These interactions have created an uncomfortable environment/atmosphere, which is disappointing. Being spoken to in this manner is unacceptable in any setting, and particularly alarming within a Christian church. It would be beneficial if CCBF could foster a more inclusive atmosphere that appreciates the presence of children as part of the community. I hope this feedback encourages them to reconsider their approach, as a more welcoming environment could significantly enhance the experience for families.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love of Christ and the sincerity of the people serving. This is not a "show church." The teaching is solid, biblical, and practical -- not watered down, not politically correct, and not focused on entertaining people. It's focused on Jesus, discipleship, and real spiritual growth. The community here is incredible. The men's ministry, Celebrate Recovery, and small group opportunities have been life-changing. There is a true culture of brotherhood, accountability, and encouragement, and you can tell the leadership genuinely cares about people, not just attendance numbers.
