    Fajitas For Two

This is the best Mexican food within 100 miles. The servers are always so nice and the food is so freaking good! We love listening to the music while enjoying our incredible food and drinks. The margaritas are very good here. Do not sleep on Rancho Cantina, absolutely fantastic cooks, servers and drinks. We love this place, it is our go to for Mexican food in Hendersonville! Thank you everyone for always making sure our dinners and lunches are Muy Rico!

Lol oysters on half shell Without oysters! Sorry I ate them

We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The menu is GRANDE! So many choices and very good. I thought my ole compadre was good......but don't tell them is is better. I had a michelada, rice, beans and carne asada. Oh my goodness. I bit my fingers. Lol. No joke. So if you're ever in music city Nashville please visit. Rancho Cantina! It's located in Hendersonville, TN Another hidden restaurant that is low key but very friendly and very good! You won't be sorry.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere. The margaritas are fantastic and the food is very authentic and delicious.

    Combo #1

Coming from California I was super excited to try Rancho Cantina after seeing the reviews. I'll do the negatives first because I like to end on a high note. I had the combo #1 with a beef taco and cheese enchilada. I was less than thrilled to find a pre made, out of the package shell I could've picked this taco up from Taco Bell honestly, it wasn't great. Again, I come from California so I feel like we come from the land of great Mexican food. Also, my margarita was fine, tasted like a spiked Gatorade. The enchilada was ok and the rice and beans were fine. My husband and kids got the fajitas and said they were really good. My kids ended the night with a fried ice cream which they loved! Would I come back? Maybe ‍ But honestly I can make better Mexican food at home.

Our first time here. The salsa is good, the lettuce was fresh and the fajitas were good. I would definitely come back.

Don't overlook Rancho just because it is in "old" Hendersonville. Their premium guacamole is fantastic. Food is authentic and consistent.

We went on a Sunday and every table was packed, so definitely make a reservation. Our waitress Addison was amazing and gave us recommendations that absolutely did not disappoint. I originally wanted prosecco but they were out, so she recommended a cava instead and it was excellent. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and had a slightly crispy skin on the chicken that made it even better. Everyone at our table was genuinely happy with their meals, which says a lot. We also got the cheesecake for dessert and it was seriously delicious. Honestly one of those meals where every part of the experience just worked. It feels like the kind of mom and pop restaurant people hope to find. Warm, lively, and focused on giving people a great experience. Will definitely be back.

Rosie Food and Wine is discreetly tucked into a strip mall right here in Hendersonville and boy does it ever deliver creative, delicious food! We weren't able to get reservations in time so we opted to sit at the bar and it was a wonderful time. The bartender was super nice, chill and yet attentive. My wife got the scallops with a side of Brussels sprouts and loved it, not a huge serving but cooked to perfection. (She was perfectly happy with the portion but I would have been whining). I got the quail, my goodness it was amazing! It was a generous portion and I ate every bite. I seriously haven't had anything that good in a coon's age. (On average a coon lives 2-3 years in the wild). Rosie Food & Wine was a great experience and I highly recommend it! We'll be back, no doubt.

Edit is a place I genuinely want to see succeed, and there is so much here that's done really well…read more I've been multiple times now, including Mother's Day, a date night with my husband, and most recently with my neighborhood girlfriends for an early Galentine's celebration. The atmosphere is consistently one of its biggest strengths. It's cozy, warm, stylish, and inviting, the kind of place that feels like a true local hangout. The cocktails are out of this world, the wine flights are excellent, and the space itself feels special for Hendersonville. It's also helpful to understand the concept behind the food. Edit does not have a traditional kitchen. The menu is prepared offsite each morning in a commissary kitchen and delivered fresh, with select items reheated behind the bar. When it works, it really works. You would never guess that the fondue with caramelized onions, gruyere, and black truffle starts cold. It comes out melty, rich, and delicious. The whipped feta is another standout and honestly lives rent free in my mind. Where things have been more hit or miss is execution. Across visits, there's almost always one or two things that keep the experience from feeling truly five star. Sometimes a dish isn't heated through quite enough, sometimes service pacing is slower than expected, and occasionally both happen on the same visit. You can tell a lot of care goes into preparing the food earlier in the day, which makes it frustrating when it doesn't quite land as intended once served. Service has also varied depending on the night. There's a strong sense of community here, and it's clear that many locals are regulars who know the staff well. That can be really lovely, but at times it has felt a bit distracting, especially when long conversations behind the bar slow down drinks or food for table guests. On one visit, delays were significant enough that my husband and I decided to close out early and eat elsewhere. On other visits, including our most recent one, the experience was overall enjoyable but still a little uneven. That said, the vision behind Edit is compelling. Getting to hear the story behind the restaurant and the intention to raise the bar in Hendersonville made me root for it even more. You can feel the passion, creativity, and desire to build something special here. I'm giving four stars because I genuinely think Edit is amazing, but every time I've gone there have been a few things that keep it from feeling like a true five star experience. These feel like very fixable, foundational issues, and if they were tightened up, this would easily be a five star spot in a heartbeat. I plan on continuing to come back, because my hope is that each visit gets closer to that mark, and the moment it does, I'll gladly update this to five stars. If you're on the fence about trying it, definitely go. And if you're just stopping in for a drink, absolutely do it. The cocktails are exceptional, the wine flights are fun, and some of the appetizers are truly memorable. Just plan for a relaxed pace and enjoy your time there. It's a wonderful place to linger, especially if you're not on a tight schedule or racing a babysitter clock.

The space is beautiful, clean, and open, making it perfect for a date. At first glance, it looks like a stylish coffee shop with high-end espresso machines, but it also has a full bar and gorgeous décor. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, which made us a little hesitant, but the service quickly won us over. The bartender and waiter were both friendly and attentive. We ordered both the beef and chicken sliders, plus two cocktails--the Common Problems (gin-based) and the Jungle Bird. The drinks were excellent, especially the gin cocktail--botanical forward. So good! The chicken slider was flavorful with a great coleslaw, but the beef slider tasted like frozen sliced meat on a nicely toasted bun--good, but nothing special. The standout dish was the roasted carrots with whipped feta, hot honey and pistachios--absolutely delicious and apparently not ordered often. Y'all better order those carrots! Prices are on the higher side, but the ambiance and drinks make it worth it. I'd definitely return for the cocktails and those incredible carrots.

For those who are looking for Ricardo's...this is the place, but it underwent a rebrand and relocation in the past few years. The restaurant is not large, but being located on the corner of the plaza gives lots of natural light for the long dining room, plus a cool cutout space for the bright bar and there is even a small patio outside of the front door. The space does not give off your standard Mexican restaurant vibes in full, but the essence of it is there and that is good enough! I have dined in, but most of my visits are pickup from an online order. My go-to here is always the Arroz con Queso. Unlike other spots, this comes automatically with peppers and onions, but no tortillas. I 86 the peppers and live without the tortillas. It is a good amount of chicken, rice, onions and queso. Always hits the spot! Along with this, I usually get a bowl of queso, but recently decided to get an order of bean dip...and where has this been my whole life. I kind of knew what to expect, but the ratio of refried bean to queso was absolute perfection! Price point was standard and ran me around $23 for my entree and dip plus tip. Service is always welcoming and friendly, plus they are usually quick with preparation, so never long waits whether dine in or pick up. Overall, really happy to have found El Mezcal.
