Plenty of restrooms throughout and has more than one playground for your little ones. There is plenty of parking available although when a special event like a dog expo comes around, it's a bit harder to find anything. The main/large playground is the one next to the recreation building. There is a section for older kids and off to the side is one for the younger tots. Behind this building are a couple outdoor basketball hoops. LFSP has plenty of tables available for parties or just for sitting around. On Wednesdays from 4-8pm is a small farmers market. We like going when they're there. We buy some tamales and Mediterranean dip while the kids go to the playground for a while. We will sometimes even have the food from there for dinner while they play and burn some energy. This park is very large and it's amazing! I'm so happy to live so close so we can take our little ones whenever we want. We look forward to the events at this place. It's a fun park to go as a family.

They both are same, unfortunately but little apart with in a big field and not walkable. This is a large sports complex with small parking spots. No restrooms available but found a porta potty. Great for kids and for the spectators. Beautiful drive tho this field, make sure you know where you are going before you leave, tricky to find thia spot. 4 fields, nicely maintained with dirt and real grass. Good luck finding it.

My husband made a turn into the field and the cars coming out refused to move over to let us get by. Later I realized how terrified they must've felt as the road is a dead drop down the cliff. The roads are narrow and dangerous. People actually pay dues and fees to this park??? It's a crying shame that parking is the way it is. I'm not lying when I say we almost had a brawl in this park as we were all gridlocked down there near the Pinto field. People trying to get out and us trying to park for a game. We were all stuck! Everybody honking at each other to get out of the way and yet it was impossible to maneuver. We were crammed in this park like sardines! I think there is a dead end and everybody trying to turn back and head out. The fields have no shade where we were. The area is just something out of a movie from the 60's. So dated and dirty. Outhouses were stinky ! That's for sure how they should be but it smelled like it hadn't been dumped in ages. I hope we never ever have another game in Fallbrook! It was horrible! Murrieta Pony and Fallbrook Pony fields must be owned by the same people. No money has been put into these fields in ages! 9/29/19 visit to this ball park. I suggest the owners of this field invest a little money in renovating and giving our kids a safe clean and fun experience. Right now, it's a sham!

There is a huge soccer field where many kids sports games happen during the weekend. There are basketball courts for all the ballers. Parking is great and has many spaces. This review is from a guest's perspective…read more A friend's daughter has been learning to ride and play polo the last couple of years. We were invited to come and watch her play in her first polo match here. This arena, stables, and clubhouse are well maintained and, from what I've been told, regional and national tournaments are played here from time to time. We arrived to find the small parking lot full. After maneuvering to get out we parked on the shoulder of the road outside the main gate. This being Silverado, the traffic on the road is light. We walked back to the entrance and couldn't figure out how to get through the automated gate (it opens automatically for vehicles) so stood and waited until a car finally approached. Once inside we headed for the clubhouse/viewing area. There was a limited shaded area on this sunny-hot day but the crowd was light (mostly parents) so we found a place out of the sun to watch. I had only seen a polo match once, years ago, somewhere out near Malibu. It was similar to what you see in movies with men wearing ascots and everyone drinking champagne. This was different - more casual with a more familial feeling. I enjoyed watching the match even though I have no clue what the rules of polo are. If nothing else I learned that instead of playing quarters, innings, or periods they play "chukkers"! Overall a fun morning and an impressive venue.

The Temecula Spartan race is usually a two race weekend, this January weekend was the 9 miles Super…read morerace on Saturday, followed by the 5 mile Sprint race on Sunday. The race is a fun challenge like always, this course was a little tougher than the one I did in Castkic Lake, CA because there were a lot of hills to go up & back down then entire course until the last mile of both races. The pre/post race area is pretty big, there's a warm up area with monkey bars & a rope to climb up, a lot of Porta potty's, ATM machine, some booth selling coffee & breakfast burritos, the shock top tent where you get your free post race beer, & a foam & rinse booth next to the changing area so you can clean off after the race. The Super race on Saturday was a smooth race, the Sprint on Sunday was a different story. Rain was expected but it ended up being way more than anticipated, a lot of volunteers no showed because of the rain so they were short staffed for the event that day. A lot of people got injured since the trails were so slippery. Given the amount of injuries occurring at the same time I think the Spartan crew did a good job getting help out to everyone that needed it, the rain also caused the parking lots to be a mess but they had people out there to help push cars out the mud. Disputes the mess cause by the rain on Sunday it was a fun weekend, & hopefully I'll make it back up in the summer for the Beast & Sprint weekend.

Santiago Canyon Cycling Challenge…read more We love Orange County, (aka: "The OC") and Santiago Canyon is just one of the reasons. And one famous institution that makes The OC stand out is the challenge and beauty of cycling the 12-mile hilly stretch of Santiago Canyon Road. Cyclists from all around come here to test their endurance and best their times on nice bike lanes that require no stopping for 12 miles! Everyone is welcome to ride here, all ages over 18, even if you are not a resident of The OC, and have no idea what the Spectrum or South Coast Plaza or Laguna or Balboa Island is. It's best on a road bike, but if you have a mountain bike that is fine too. Not recommended for beach cruisers or tricycles. Not for children either. The beauty of the rolling hills will make you forget about your mundane M to F office job and that annoying person in your office you wish would resign. You will be one with nature, giving it your all; pushing your limits...the world is yours! Stay in your bike lane at all times, to the right of it as much as possible, single file preferred, and aware of your surrounding for approaching cars--give them the right of way if they need to turn off the road in front of you. Where do I start this incredible ride? There are two places to start the ride: My Preferred start location at Cook's Corner Bar (GPS: 19152 Santiago Canyon Road, 92679) Just start pedaling towards Jamboree road and you are set--you cannot get lost--just stay on Santiago. 12 miles non-stop--it's all you! You can even buy some water at Cooks if needed. The other location is the Chevron Gas Station at Jamboree and Chapman (GPS: 8544 E. Chapman Ave., Zip: 92869) It's another great place to refuel your liquids or use the potty. Carefully Cross over Jamboree Rd. and start heading toward Cook's Corner. 12 miles to Cook's, stay in the bike lane and watch for cars entering the road at intersections. BTW: There are No Services between Cooks and the Chevron for 12+ miles so make sure that you have a spare tube, patches, pump, liquids, phone, etc. with you before you start out. Your Nordstroms and Bloomies cards will not help you here. Have a safe incredible ride and write about it on Yelp when you have the chance. Remember that You alone, and not this writer or Yelp are responsible for your safety on this ride, so exercise caution and be safe at all times. See you on Santiago! Yea!!

There are some great families in the league some awesome girls but the favoritism and Mom/Dad ball…read moreis blatant, widely known and laughable. To be up front, my daughter makes All Stars/Select so this review is pointing out other qualified players/families who get shafted out for no reason. Qualifications and attitude are not as much a factor as who you know and whose ass you kiss. If you are on the board or friends with someone on the board your daughter is far more likely to make All Stars and Select than another girl who is far more qualified. This is well known chatter and unfortunately people just deal with it. Every year across most division girls don't make All Stars despite being far more qualified than several players that did. This shows in the performance during the All Star season. If the board gave a shit about going deep in All Stars they would make the selection actually based on skills and not "who you know". If the Board wises up this league has a lot of potential but sadly, they care more about hooking friends up with roster spots over fielding a truly skilled competitive. Honestly if you are new to the league and aren't with the "in crowd" or ready to kiss ass, take your daughter elsewhere for a shot at true opportunity.

This is a recreational league in Mission Viejo that is more focused on the "select" and "All Star"…read moreportion of its program than on developing all of its young players. There is not a great vetting system for coaching or its "board" of volunteers. The "board" seems to be in place to forward their own children's individual agendas rather than the population of girls in the entire league. Jesse Matlock who is the current president of the board is not someone who should be dealing with people and is consistently disrespectful and petty. Again he is not interested in the over all well being of the girls in this league but rather his own agenda for his own child. He and the current VP on this board were recently fighting over their own daughters and had to have a board intervention. He is wishy/washy and seems to struggle with power issues especially with women. There are only a few female managers/coaches in the entire league and it feels more like a good ole boys club for middle aged dads to relive their glory days rather than a safe place for young girls to learn and develop in a female sport. The MVGS volunteer board randomly put a new rule in place this past spring season that every family needed to write a check for $200 for volunteer hours. They planned to hold the checks and if volunteer hours weren't met they would cash the check at the end of the season. The problem is if they didn't get all of the volunteer checks on a team then that team didn't receive their uniforms (which were already paid for in each girl's registration) for the girl's first games. How is it legal to withhold a child's paid for uniform because another parent did not write a volunteer check. What if you didn't want your check floating around some random volunteers house until the end of the season. When approached about this Jesse Matlock said peer pressure would make people pay. He was thrilled his black mail scheme saw more people volunteer for the league snack bar. League fundraising is a whole other issue with a real lack of transparency on where funds are actually spent. We were on team that didn't have a tee, had one net and not enough balls. The grounds at William Craycraft are well kept by the city but the park itself is old and run down. The city put a new bathroom in a few years ago and the MVGS league touts that as a major selling point of their program. If decent bathrooms are your league's major selling point that in itself speaks volumes. Our two daughters were abused by this league in a myriad of ways during our few seasons there. I had one daughter get her baby tooth knocked out with a bat one season with no care or follow up on her well being even after weeks of continued bruising and swelling. Both of our daughters had poor coaching experiences again because of lack of vetting. This league brags about the number of girls they get registered but they have a huge turn over. We witnessed several awesome families with highly talented players leave season after season because of politics. If you are not on the board or in their club your daughter will be treated poorly regardless of her talent level. Most of the best players in this league end up in club programs which makes sense but they were definitely ushered out with some mistreatment along the way. This is not a league I would recommend for any young girl. Steer clear. There are better options in south Orange county.

You can definitely see how excited everyone was about it in Laguna Hills. This was the first year I signed up with my cousin and our friends and we definitely want to make it our annual tradition. The weekend before the event, we had the option to pick up our registration packets at Road Runner between 11am and 4pm. I came by early on Saturday to look at the merchandise at Road Runner but their worker bees were very rude in telling me I was too early. Their loss because I was going to buy a bunch of stuff. The volunteers for the event was nice though. They were very quick and helpful with the id check and waivers. We got our bibs and tshirts for the race. These bibs are fancy with gps chips implanted to help you track your time and probably so you don't cheat off the path. On the day of the event we were all awake nice and early and we lined up at the start line before 7am. The event was a bit disorganized in the aspect that the runners and walkers were all in one group making it very difficult to weave through and cut off the slower crowds. The route was blocked off by local police and there were plenty of non participates cheering on the whole time. Everyone showed their love for America with their Red, White and Blue. Before we knew it we were at the finish line!! Woo hoo!! It felt amazing!! We even got medals for our hard work!! Yayyyyyy!! After the finish line, there were many volunteers passing out water, protein water, juice, bananas and oranges. There were many event booths set up for the participants to enjoy after their hard work. There was a shuttle to take us back to the start point, but my cousin and I wanted extra fitbit steps so we passed on the shuttle and walked back to the car. It was so much fun!!

It means more to me than just another shopping day. So running with them in mind was deep enough for me. I'll be honest. I had not ran prior to this 5k since hurting my knee again. But I felt good. Probably since I had just walked 5 miles two days prior. I was going to do the 10k. But reality kicked in. It's in Laguna Hills. Hills being the key word. So I went with the 5k. I registered late. Not sure if I was the last to register online. Since there was only about 5 mins left when I registered. I was waiting for the confirmation email to come in. I showed up at 5:50. Since I needed to get my bib number and shirt. And check in. I want sure if they would have me on the list or even have a tshirt for me. But they did. And I registered just 5 1/2 hours prior to check in on the day of the race. I was shocked. I was ready with my phone out with the confirming email and all. But all they needed was my id and my signed form release. Just incase. I got my bib number and moved down to get my shirt. Which I wore proud. There were numbers of volunteers. Young and old. The kid who gave me my shirt might have been 9-10 years old. But he knew his job great. He saw the corner of my bib and said he gets an xl shirt. And handed it to me. Then he tore the corner off. The start line was a bit sketchy. Everyone lined up together. 5k 10k half marathon. So when we took off it was hard to maneuver around slower people. Or it was hard for people to maneuver around me. The race was great. There were people lined at the edge of the road cheering you on and waving American flags. It was very patriotic. There was water stations along the route. They had police blocking the road we running on. It was a great race. Fun and a great cause. This race Honors the US Marine Corp Dark Horse Battalion. A battalion that was ambushed in Afghanistan. I talks about how survivors made it and how the hero who gave all for his fellow brothers in arms. They have a grand marshal every year. Honoring a fellow vet. A survivor. The family of members were there. And I saw many service men running and veterans running for friends they lost. Also family members who lost. It was bitter sweet as people rolled into the finish line. Most people waited as the last runners came in. People cheering strangers on. It was great. The end of the race had many volunteers again giving you water your medal fruit and directing you in the right direction. They even had a dinosaur roaming around. The race ended at Fosil park. There were many different booths. They a humvee they had soldiers Demonstrating their guns riffles. You could climb up on their vehicle. You could see that war is not a game. It's real life. There were many other booths. Some with lots of free goodies. Others promoting other races in the future months to come. One of the booth/stage they honored the fallen service men and had a bagpiper playing. Though there was still racers coming in. It was very thoughtful and well taken in. I was very happy I had ran the race and proud to have been a Part of this. I will comeback and run it again. Last few items. There was a kid race and diaper dash. Which ended up being great. A must see. Check out my video on that. 2 toddlers battling it out to the finish line. Also they had buses running back and forth to take you back to the Laguna Hills Mall where we started from. I really want to thank all that helped put this on and all the service men and women that are out there everyday. And mainly those that stayed behind. For others to go home. Always remember that Freedom isn't Free.
