I'M BACK TO SEE "MOUSETRAP"! Ramona Hillside Players is a nice community theater nestled to the side of the Ramona Bowl, it's got plenty of parking and nice outdoor views. The box office experience was a bit rocky as the ticket clerk messed up one of our tickets and one of the members in our party had to move to the back. It was a bit weird because there was an empty seat next to us. The clerk gave us seats together when we originally purchased them at the door. The ushers/attendants seemed a little baked and stressed, not sure if they're treated the best. The primary clientele at this theater is senior citizens, therefore their word is law. If they find it cold, the staff turn the heater up to eleven. The theater felt like an oven, I was sweating and sweating! If RHP wants to attract more viewers they need to keep an eye on their HVAC. Overall, I really liked the show. I like murder mysteries and the cast was likable. However, the show got a bit slow at times as the cast sat for most of the runtime (this was an odd directing decision). I would also suggest they switch up their show lineup. Again, RHP caters too much to older people, so they tend to skew Baby Boomer when picking shows and music. We need more musicals and diverse stories on this stage! read more

I have officially attended 4 plays now. This place has grown on me and has a special place in my heart. They fixed the bathrooms, so YAY! I have changed it to a 5 because they have truly stepped their game up. These actors do such an amazing job! I love that they serve tea and coffee during intermission. The people who run this place are so very sweet! Here are some words of advice for you: If you get cold easy, do not wear open toed shoes and make sure to bring a long sleeve jacket or blanket with you. If are are always hot dress in layers because they use that A/C. If you have never been here before follow a car out on the way out, the exit is extremely difficult to find if you don't know where you are going. read more

The Crucible was a fantastic play. The acting was phenomenal. I have a new appreciation for this little intimate theater. I'll be heading to more plays. I love the cozy feel. GREAT! Little theatre! Not big or fancy, but little, quaint and clean, and some very talented actors! This community theatre has a lot of warm, friendly volunteers that help out with the shows. I encourage you to go onto their website. I encourage you to go see their plays and write something true and positive. The world is FULL of critics unfortunately, but find the good in something and write something positive. No one is perfect (that's a given) but out of our imperfections, good things come. Why not have a minus review? I have gone on their site 3 times today trying to buy tickets, I input all of my info, and they seem to offer you the option of not creating a Paypal account, but then when I input that I want to just pay on a credit card and not create a Paypal account at this time, it jams! So my friend and I have tried this 3 times and of course there is no one to take a phone call, even through it is a week day. Not well impressed at all! read more
