On Saturday night my family met 2 of the 10 heroes who serve the community of Ramona. My teenage niece popped her knee of of socket. She went to get her phone & fell. It took 6 hrs for her to crawl to her phone. My dad & brother in law rushed over to help her but due to the amount of time that had passed, had to call 911. The men who responded were amazing!!! They told her how strong she was to be stuck like that & not lose her composure. Her knee had popped back into place but they knew her injury was severe. They took her to Pomerado, side note: NEVER take someone you love there! The nurse wanted to put my niece in a chair type device but the EMTs made her get a bed for my niece. They stayed with her for awhile when they realized she was not going to be a priority. Hopefully she won't need surgery but most ACL tears don't fix themselves. I didn't get the names of the men who helped my niece. All I know is they were heroes that night.
Ramona has 10 emergency responders who cover 75 miles of homes, businesses, wild life & the people who live in the community. If you see one of these incredible people at the grocery store, in town or at the firehouse open house; stop and thank them. They protect a huge area & if you ever have to call them, they will be there with a comforting smile & warm sense of humor. read more
