Baby in Nicu after being born

Dr Samadi is wonderful at what he does I would recommend him to anyone .He caught that i have Rh antibodies early at 28 weeks and that my baby developed fetal anemia Dr samadi monitored me weekly and referred me to fetal surgeon in Los Angeles when my where i received two fetal blood transfusions which saved my sons life he was born at 37 weeks .his office is busy because he's great at what he does wait times do not matter as long as your baby can be born healthy

Bri M.

Dr. Samadi saved our twins! He caught TTTS and got us in with the right fetal surgeon and truly fought for our care the whole way. He made a terrifying pregnancy an absolute success and we owe everything to him. We could not be more thankful for this man and his care of us through everything. Thank you Dr. Samadi

I am now just reading the reviews on here, especially the bad ones. I lucked out today because it was my first time here and I didn't feel like I waited for 3 hours. My appointment time was at 10:45am and I checked in at 10:28am. Around 11:02am I get called for me to show my ID and insurance card and fill out paperwork - mind you I read and fill out paperwork quick so within 3-4 minutes I returned the paperwork. Another 15 minutes has passed and I get called to get my vitals taken and was asked personal questions in regards to my medical history. After the questions, I was asked to go back to the waiting room. Maybe around 11:25ish, Sarah (the ultrasound tech) calls me and tells me that the room she has prepared for was ready for me. I felt nervous because of course I didn't know what to expect and if they'll find anything wrong with my baby. I thank god for Sarah for being so smooth and taking her time to find any abnormalities. She's so sweet and we had a great conversation! I literally just found out that Dr. Samadi and her and the rest of the staff travel from LA! I salute them and give them props for that. Sarah took her time and once finished, she said she is going to type up her report and have Dr. Samadi come and check me. I think within 25-30 minutes, he finally comes in. Gives me a firm handshake and introduced himself. He took his time to check for any final findings and said that Sarah keeps him sane in this insane world lol! I told him that Sarah is amazing! Anyhoo, Dr. Samadi says that my baby looks healthy and that he will see me in 4 weeks. Overall, my experience here was amazing! Nothing to complain here. I did learn that if you check in 30 minutes or waaay ahead of your appointment, it definitely saves you time. The only con I have about the place is it's too small! All chairs are side to side - I hope Dr. Samadi gets a bigger building with a bigger waiting area. That would be so great for him and his staff. Other than that, his staff is amazing, he is amazing and I would recommend this place!

Dr. Edwards has a few children herself, and that was the one of the main deciding factors in choosing her as my obstetrician. She is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and understanding about obstetrics and gynecology. A woman is full of questions during pregnancy, and she completely answered all of mine fully (and she did it kindly -- despite the condescending manner that some doctors tend to have.) A few months after giving birth, I had the dreaded "abnormal" phone call, and had to have a rather frightening procedure done. That day, I spent my time in the waiting room shaking like a scared chihuahua. Dr. Edwards was awesome, and talked me through the entire process while carrying a pleasant conversation with me. Excellent bedside manner! I recommend her to everyone whose insurance covers her. If it doesn't include Dr. Edwards, try any of the other OBGYN's at San Dimas! Awesome medical team! And the new facility is fabulously beautiful. I definitely recommend her to anyone searching for an obstetrician or gynecologist.

Anyone in Bakersfield seeking fertility treatment knows that there isn't much, in town, for advanced infertility treatment. It was so frustrating for my husband and I. Then, we found The Center for Fertility & Gynecology. This particular practice, Drs. Kalan, Vermesh & Winkler, have so much to offer medically, but what is more, they show outstanding concern for their patients as individuals. You are never just medical protocol with these doctors! Their years of experience and love of helping people overcome infertility are very evident. Our son was born last week and my husband and I are eternally grateful to this practice and these doctors. They gave us the chance of a lifetime & we cannot thank them enough!

STEER CLEAR FROM THIS DOCTOR…read more I had an office visit with her at 36 weeks where she stated my baby was not breached yet. I went into labor a few days after that office visit and she acted surprised to find out my baby wasn't head down after I started pushing and had such a sour attitude with me the entire time after that. It didn't bother me at the time because I was in labor and all I cared about what pushing my baby out. I didn't find out until after I gave birth that she delivered my son BUTT FIRST. I had no time for an epidural because he was ready to come out as soon as I got to the hospital. During my labor, I felt her put her hands (possibly instruments) in there and tug around it for a while. I didn't know what she was doing; I just trusted her as a professional. I'm assuming she was reaching for my baby and forcing him down. For someone who put my and my son's lives at risk, she was pretty emotionless after the labor. She asked how I was feeling and that's that last I heard or saw of her. I never went back to see her after that. I canceled my post pregnancy appts with her practice and went elsewhere. On top of that, her office staff has such attitude. It's ridiculous. The only good thing about that office was the Nurse Practitioner there. I forget her name, but she was amazing. Maybe it was Nurse Prieto? Super nice and caring. Asked me if I ever had questions or concerns. Visits with Dr. Rebecca Rivera were always short. She did what she needed to do and was done with you. She made my second pregnancy so traumatic that I have trust issues with OBGYNs now for the fear of experiencing the same awful labor in another pregnancy.

The behavior I…read moreencountered was shockingly rude and unprofessional, especially for a medical practice that works with pregnant patients who may already be feeling stressed or vulnerable. The staff member at the front desk was dismissive, spoke in a condescending tone, and acted as though answering basic questions was an inconvenience. Instead of being helpful or courteous, the interaction felt hostile and unwelcoming. Basic professionalism and respect toward patients should be the minimum standard in any healthcare setting, yet that standard was clearly not met here. What made the situation even more concerning was the difficulty I had obtaining my own medical results. I needed these results to share with my high-risk pregnancy specialist, yet the office did not provide them to me in a timely manner despite multiple requests. Delays in accessing important medical information during pregnancy are extremely stressful and can impact continuity of care when you are working with multiple providers. It is concerning that the first point of contact for patients reflects such poor customer service and lack of empathy. Front desk staff play a critical role in setting the tone for patient care, and in this case the experience left a very negative impression of the entire office. I strongly recommend that the management address the conduct and training of their front desk team. Dr. Helliwell is knowledgeable, and I had a good rapport with him as a patient however, his staff, specifically front desk receptionist, is intolerable and unprofessional. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism when seeking medical care.

A few times, the communication was extremely poor which resulted in me having to return to the office three times for lab work. Also, one time I went to my ultrasound appointment alone without my husband and the lady barely talked to me. When she did, she was rude and when we were done, she tossed my ultrasound photo on the table and told me to get it. I have no negative reviews about the doctor, but the staff needs to be better. Lastly, their billing department never answers the phone or returns calls, so if you have any issues, good luck with that.
