Being asked for my phone number to "explain over the phone " why they might not be able to help me same day was very inappropriate. Not only was it midnight, but the entire conversation had been completed via messages , so why wouldn't this information be told via messages? This made me feel extremely uneasy. In addition, I had to ask multiple times about licensing. In short - watch yourself. Be aware. If something seems off, it probably is. We HIGHLY recommend A&S. One morning I woke up and the fridge was dead. Nothing. No alarms, no lights. Bill arrived within a few hours of our call, when no other company could even try to come until much later. That may have been good scheduling luck. We were pleased with his professionalism (and my spouse noted that we didn't have to remind him to please not walk on the white carpeting with shoes). The part we needed came in and the fridge was up and running within a few days. But that's not why we are so impressed: Our commercial-grade Jenn Air refrigerator has actually been problematic since we bought our home. The owner of the home warranty approved company here in Big Bear came out and told us he "wouldn't touch it". He advised us to find parts on Ebay?! We bought time by turning off our ice-maker, and left it that way for over a year. After the repair by A&S we noticed a recurrence of the initial problem that caused us to turn off our icemaker when we first moved in. We had Bill come out and take a look, and his assessment of the problem was similar to what we were told by the warranty-approved company who refused to fix it. The difference was Bill offered to try and find the part, as well as do the repair. We looked online and noticed many owners of this refrigerator had this problem, and it appears to be a design flaw that would happen again in another five years or so. If you own a commercial appliance, you've seen that the parts are expensive (because they know you would rather repair the appliance than shell out for the exorbitant cost of buying a new one). We found the part online based on information A&S gave us, ordered it for a reasonable price, and had them put it in for far less than we expected.
