Unfortunately, we've have a lot of auto and homeowner policy needs after the sudden death of our…read morecar, complications with selling our home, etc. Ed and Joe at Naeger are great, local people with incredible customer service. We started using them in 2009 for our auto and homeowners insurance after a giant national company (rhymes with "Hate Farm") hiked our rates over 20% without a peep or us filing a claim, saying the costs to insure STL historic homes had increased as much in a single year (2008, when the values of home were decreasing). A neighbor of ours recommended Naeger, who immediately found us several cheaper policies with the same amount of coverage. When we wanted to continue coverage on our unoccupied home and our insurance company didn't cover unoccupied property, I'm sure they could have made more money by writing us a new policy. Instead, Joe called the company and convinced them to bend the rules to help us. An insurance company, bending the rules to help someone, you say? It was magic - bizarre and amazing magic! These folks are easy to deal with over the phone or email and respond to you after business hours without a second thought. In summary, they are a convenient, local, friendly, business with low prices and a high level of customer service. I highly recommend them.

I found out about Alternative Benefits from my neighbors who have known Bill since he was in middle…read moreschool, and in the process I discovered that he is the go-to insurance man for almost everyone I know. When you go out in public with Bill to eat it usually takes over an hour for him to be able to leave, again, because he seems to know everyone everywhere we may happen to go. It all comes down to knowing the market and what choices are available, which in my experience most others do not present to their clients in such clear and concise ways to help us to make the best possible choices. Bill is not only my insurance specialist, he is my friend and I could not give a stronger recommendation.

We have lived in St Louis for the past 23+ years and had the same agent for our insurance needs…read moreuntil recently when we moved everything to Mitch Murch. I have know Mitch for about 34 years and knew he owned a Farmers Agency. In chatting with him about our insurance needs recently, I realized that it may be prudent to have him review our coverage. It was more than prudent (and something I should have done previously). Mitch was able to increase my coverage at a significant savings. I encourage everyone to at least kick the tires occasionally on your overall insurance needs. At the least you will will learn about your coverage and you may save money along the way or realize you are under or over insured. This process was well worth the time I invested in it and Mitch makes it easy. Savings is one thing, but in today's business environment, service is sometimes forgotten. This is NOT the case with the Murch Agency. Between Mitch and Andrea, all bases are covered proactively, thoroughly, and carefully. This superior client service is very much appreciated!

We've used a few different insurance companies. When we moved to Missouri from Oregon, Progressive…read morejust shot up, so we switched to Geico. We didn't have Geico too long before I noticed that instead of lowering the payments every renewal, they just got higher. So we switched to State Farm. The local office is really friendly. I love the staff there. They're kind and they actually care. The website isn't very user friendly compared to my past companies, but since we're down the street from the office I just go in person to take care of everything. They actually make you glad to do it, too! Everything is easy to do and they work expeditiously. Recently my husband had an accident with a deer on the way home from work and we had to do our first ever claim. We'd never had any type of accident before and were freaking out a bit, but between the Pippin Towing folks and the folks at State Farm, we were able to get it squared away quickly. The accident was in the wee hours of a Friday morning. We called claims around 10am and the department's assessor quickly picked up our vehicle from Pippin and had assessed it by Wednesday. It was, unfortunately, a total loss, but the value they gave it was higher than Kelley Blue Book, and they'd paid out to our lender within two days of approving the payout! They worked fast and had no problem when I called them with questions. Whether from this office or from Claims, the experience we've had with State Farm has been really awesome. I appreciate them and all of their honesty and hard work. I'm really glad we switched to them, and to Matt Woods' office. Those folks really care.
