This is for the office of Craig Speechly, in Ogden Utah…read more Just to start off my parents have been with state farm for over 20 years and had all their cars, houses, motorhomes and probably stuff I wasn't aware of. I decided to go with them for car insurance. I had been with them for over 3 years with a perfect driving record. I did some shopping and found a better price with another insurance company. I called and asked if they could match the price? They didn't even try. They didn't even want to at all. I literally said, "you are going to make me cancel my policy"? They didn't even say "no" no no we want you to stay. This is what you call garbage and straight non human or caring at all about how much business they have got out of my family for over 20 years?!! Are you kidding? I said to them do you think Craig would just let his customers go? They didn't even answer, meaning, Yes, They don't care about you at all as long as you are paying them money they will be robotic. This needs to stop. Business like this needs to be put to rest and it would be nice if they lost all business. If they truly cared they would have found a better price or something. There was no empathy nor did they care about a good customer.

Caution. Caution…read more State Farm sounds great when they're trying to get you to sign up, but when you put in a claim, watch out! My wife was in an auto accident and totaled my truck. Luckily she was ok. State alarm stated they were going to total my truck (which made sense, as the frame was bent and the whole thing was destroyed). Two weeks later, when I called to see what was happening, they told me that now they were going to fix it. That seemed strange to me based of its condition. Two weeks later, they decided to total it again. They then presented a offer I felt was low based on the research I did. They said the agency that did that for them would review it and I'd hear back in 48 hours. Crickets. Two weeks later I call and now they ask me to provide comps, which I did, and then they said they couldn't accept them. Each time I called and spoke to a different agent, I got a different answer. Yesterday I called to get the status. They now say that since the truck was in my name and the insurance was under my wife's name, it's under "review". Funny it wasn't under review while they were cashing my monthly premiums check. Finally they said that they would pay after all. It's been two months since the accident. I continue to make the payments on the truck (now in the salvage yard) as well as the vehicle I'm now driving. I losing money by the day. Oh, and today they told me I could hire my own appraiser to provide another evaluation. I really didn't want this to go on another month. I asked them a month ago if I should get an independent appraiser, they said that wasn't necessary. Last week they told me they were paying off the loan, yesterday I found out that wasn't the case at all. New customer rep, new story. Finally today I had enough. They broke me. Taking way too much of my time and giving more grief than it's worth. I told them I'd just take their low offer to stop the bleeding. Well, just esigned the offer. Time to move on with my life. Good luck. Hope you have a better experience than I do. State Farm might want to invest in training to get a consistent response to questions and claims.
