I went on a snowy weekend. The day I went, some of the active exhibits include the Afro-American heritage art, showcasing memorable works from the recent black panther franchise. Additionally, there were other art pieces focused on jewelry. I also saw an exhibit on motherhood, showcasing a variety of baby carriers. I went to the museum with my NY culturepass, making my experience free. I'd highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in the Columbus circle area.

The interior itself is clean, bright, and easy to navigate with several levels connected by escalators and elevators. The circular layout is a refreshing change from typical rectangular malls. The retail mix is high-end but a mix of bargain priced stores. You'll find luxury brands alongside mainstream favorites. While it is certainly geared toward a more affluent clientele, there is still enough variety to appeal to different tastes. The center is home to famous names like Per Se and Masa, which are fantastic if you have the budget and reservations, but casual, quick-bite options are fewer and farther between compared to other NYC shopping centers. It would benefit from a few more mid-tier casual spots. Overall, it is a sophisticated shopping destination that excels in ambiance and location. The Nippon Club is located on West 57th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. The receptionist sent me up to the seventh floor in a high tech elevator where no buttons are pressed. Two exhibits were going on side by side. I found the cloisonné vases and boxes beautiful. A tapestry of two leopards was my favorite and listed for $20,000. Everything was for sale and if I had oodles of money I would have picked up one or two piece. Several of the objects were from the Meiji period (1872-1912) and Shöwa period (1926-1989). A large bowl and a box of an exquisite blue was breathtaking. Going back to street level one presses the X button in the elevator. Thank you to the Nippon Club for the invitation to visit this exhibit. I added my name for future events.

If you're reading this review because you're thinking of attending an upcoming performance, and you're on the fence about it, then I hope that this review will persuade you to get off of the fence and into a seat at Carnegie Hall! Trust me, it's so worth it. Most recently, I participated in a wonderful event at Zankel Hall. It was called "The Divine Art of Music," and it was fabulous. It featured much of the best of both "Western" and "Eastern" music; I can confidently assert that it uplifted many souls that evening. Zankel Hall itself, which seats about 600 people, had such an intimate and fresh feeling to it...highly recommend it! The ushers were all focused, kind, attentive and friendly, which also contributed to a positive and memorable experience for everyone in attendance. IMHO, Carnegie Hall is a foretaste of heaven, which makes heaven all the more attractive. : ) In conclusion, it's truly one of those awe-inspiring gems on this side of the veil, so to speak, which brings us not only culture but a sense of God's goodness and loveliness to all who enter it. While I would've preferred Row A, those seats sell out very quickly, so I definitely recommend purchasing early. Overall, I felt the tickets were worth the price. The dedication and hard work these ballet dancers put in much of which we don't see behind the scenes make the final performance even more impressive. Truly a memorable night.

I can't speak to how they are…read morecurrently but I attended from 2015-2019 and made many friends here, and it was a great environment to create, whether I was learning wood sculpture or refining my vision as a painter. Most of the instructors were wonderful, offering guidance when I asked and space when I needed it. It is very reasonably priced and remains a true NYC institution. The only instructor I would caution against is Pat Lipsky. I found her conceited and negative, even spiteful at times. If your aesthetics do not align with Immanuel Kant or Clement Greenberg, you may not feel welcome in her class. After she asked me to help set up her studio for a visiting curator, I left the class. From that point on, she refused to acknowledge me when we crossed paths. Still, the overall experience was deeply meaningful. I am grateful for the time I spent here and the ways it shaped my work and friendships.
