Every time my grandma goes in to ask questions or check on her status on the apartment waitlist, Carla is incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. What means the most to my grandma is that Carla always remembers her name and remembers exactly what she's there for. That personal touch makes her feel seen and valued, especially as a senior. Their management did not ask me to write this review. While we have moved over 300 residents on or off of this property, I have never once, had a resident tell me they were not happy living there. I know there is a long waiting list, and I know why. The grounds and management's attention to detail is excellent. The gated community allows the residents to walk freely among the flat curvy sidewalks among the manicured park like foliage. They know residents by name and treat them like family members. Tyler Springs is one of the few senior living locations that impresses me, and they will impress you also.

Since living here we have no had any issues. The very few tiny ones we had were quickly & kindly resolved. My wife & I have always felt safe and have never had any issues feeling unsafe. The apartment itself is very spacious! If you get a 2nd floor apartment it will come with high ceilings. The patio is nice and has outdoor storage that fits a lot in there. The closet is also very spacious & much larger than we needed. Only downside about the room is there's no ceiling fan or light. Spruce Village is a great place to live. It's very quite and the neighbors are friendly. Everyone keeps to themselves and minds their own business. It's also well located and tucked away next to a beautiful mountain view. If you're into hiking you're just 5 minutes away from being able to hike the mountain & 10 minutes away from downtown. You're also close to UCR so if you're a student you will love that. This is my last month here since I'm moving out of state, but if I had the option to stay longer I would. It's a wonderful community, location is perfect, & it's a blessing how peaceful & quite it is. I moved…read moreto "The Compound" to live closer to my daughter and I liked the previous manager, she was a good person. Ok more about "The Compound". If you like to wake up to the smell of cat urine then this is the place for you. If you like to be awakened throughout the night by the sound of cats fighting then this is the place for you. Cats are allowed to roam freely throughout "The Compound" often to have a litter of kittens in residents patios. The pictures posted of the relaxing, never used patio furniture is mostly because of the cat urine stains and smell. There is nothing for residents to do inside the "The Compound", no social activities for the residents, no parking for the guests, and parking on the street is very limited. So if you don't have visitors and like to stay indoors then again this is the place for you. Upstairs has no protection from the weather and when it rains some residents (inmates) have a long walk in the rain to get to their car, not to mention it can be very slippery on cold mornings, such as black ice and trying to maneuver around the ice, cat crap and vomit can be dangerous let alone challenging. Once I gave my notice to vacate/escape "The Compound" I was harassed in many ways, from allowing other residents to park in my assigned parking spot to letters of eviction. The current manager continually bad mouths the prior manger, showing a lack of professionalism and does not show accountability for her own responsibilities and actions. While I might have had a couple of issues with the prior manager she was always professional and polite and did her best for all the residents. I could continue but if all of the above sounds appealing to you then this "Compound" is for you. If your daughter or son cares about your elderly family, please look for other places! Luckily for me my sentence (they call it a lease agreement) at "The Compound" was only 12 months. I could have paid bail (early lease termination) and got out sooner. But I survived my sentence and escaped alive.
