J's demeanor is very passive aggressive and unpleasant, she is slow to respond to issues from parents. There is very little diversity among staff and children. I've seen kids exclude other children because of their skin color and staff refusing to address issues of racism among children. I don't recommend it.

Will your child feel comfortable and welcome ? What can you expect from a Montessori education? This school had everything we were looking for and more. They offer morning and afternoon sessions and they offer both 3-day and 5-day programs. The class sizes are small and social and you likely won't find more caring and passionate educators than Miss Nora and Miss Susan. Plus, the tuition is affordable and some assistance is available. We are almost done with our son's first year and we are planning to enroll him for a second year in the fall. Our daughter will be going there, too - no doubt in my mind. You should know that this is a small school with a close-knit connection between children, teachers and parents and they ask for parents to play an active role in the school if you can spare the time. This isn't the "drop your kid off in the parking lot" kind of place and we love how our son has blossomed in the quiet and challenging environment under the Montessori philosophy practiced at Kinderhaus Montessori. We enrolled her and she began learning faster than we could keep up. It was amazing how much she would tell me she did in a day during our 45 min car ride home. She would sing, and dance, and continued to tell us what she learned day to day. This year, she started into Kindergarten in our school district. In November, when they closed the schools due to COVID, she was expected to be full distance learning and complete numerous packets for her work. She began to "hate school" and didn't want to go to school, even though she stayed home. We heard there was an opening in the Private Kindergarten and without hesitation, dis-enrolled her from our local school and placed her back at Primrose. Within the week, she was back to loving school, singing and dancing. Nothing makes my heart melt more than her smiling and giggling as she tells me about her day and how much fun she had. If it wasn't for Primrose, I can't imagine where my little girl would be in the realm of her education as well as her mental health. Even though school is back in session and she would be welcome back in our towns school, we refuse to pull her from Primrose and will make the 45 minute one-way drive every day, as it is more than worth it for us and her.

The level of care is off the charts and this center is a favorite of mine. I work full time and dropping my kids off at Primrose everyday really eases my mind. I have no doubts that he is ready for kindergarten. Primrose's curriculum prepared him for kindergarten not only with the information but by helping them become independent. They also focus on the whole child. When we first came to Primrose our 5yo was not eating very many things. One of his teachers was super concerned and constantly encouraged him to try new things. Now he tries all types of new things. When things go wrong: Several months ago a serious accusation was lodged against my son. This mama bear was ready for battle!! The Director of Primrose took everything really serious and started fact finding without any accusations or choosing of side. She interviewed teachers and a few students in a gentle (the kids didnt even know they were being interviewed) and caring manner. The issue was resolved without incident. To me a true test of a school is when things go wrong. Things went very wrong this time but the folks at Primrose stepped up and handled it with care and a thoroughness that speaks to their commitment to excellence. Pick up/ drop off: Pick up and drop off are pretty easy. You get a key fob to gain access to the building, you log your children in and out on a computer. Recently I took the kids out of school for the day to hang out. I did not check them in and did not leave a note in tadpoles (awesome app)...so the school called us to check on them. With all the hot car deaths this small action really touched me. This school cares and they show it! Gosh, I have so much to say! I still have not talked about the app (tadpoles that tracks all the kids do during the day and you get photos) or about the healthy lunches and snacks by the in house chef. I haven't touched on the fact that the chef makes a cake for every child on their birthday...or that families are celebrated monthly. Some may say the cost is too high...but you get what you pay for. If I can't be the one watching my children I want to pay for the best..and the best is Primrose!!!

I was nervous being away from my baby and had heard awful stories about kids at daycare centers and what scary/terrible places they could be- I'm here to tell you that you shouldn't ever assume that all daycare facilities are alike, and while I don't know about any other centers in terms of sending my child to any other facility, but I DO KNOW that this one is extraordinary. Unlike many of the moms that I worked with and who were colleagues of mine, I have never wondered if my daughter was safe, hungry, cold, or lonely... All I've ever known is that she's excited to arrive in the morning and reluctant to go home (because comparatively, let's face it... Home is boring compared to being at 'school' ;) ). Furthermore, this daycare is beyond fair when it comes to their rates and the level of care they provide goes above and beyond what I have heard from many of my friends (who have children in other daycare centers in Hudson/the Twin Cities). Quite frankly, the care provided is exemplary and ought to be the standard by which daycare centers are measured; back when we were looking for a daycare, we toured several in the area and I find it difficult to compare the centers we toured to Little Adventures... Now that my daughter is almost ready for kindergarten, I find myself somewhat saddened by the thought of not having these wonderful people in our lives on a day-to-day basis anymore. This daycare facility is simply amazing. I've had my kids at two other facilities prior to coming to River Falls, and finding Little Adventures was like discovering someone had listened to all my complains about previous experiences, and then created Little Adventures to show me it can be done right. Their teachers are qualified, and and most either have degrees in early childhood development, or are students at a University working toward teaching degrees. They grew with our family, and when one of our kids developed a special need, like a gluten allergy, they went out of thier way to make sure she had the ability to have safe food, and a safe learning environment. I can tell they've do the same with others, as the facility is also nut free. They have a cook who creates meals largely from scratch. The playground uses materials like sand and wood chips, rather than shredded rubber. I still cannot believe a prior daycare had shredded rubber! The billing the provide is accurate and timely. The older ones, now 12 and 15, still rave about their favorite teachers. They don't sit the kid down in from of a TV or Movies to keep them docile and entertained. They give them projects and games instead. The care and love of the job that Jackie(Owner) and all of those who work at the facility show in how they conduct themselves and how they treat the kids is evident every time I step foot in the facility. They became part of our family. Above all else, all of my kids loved being there.

In light of tragic circumstances that have made it difficult for many to trust, the protection and care that Ms. Caity Lee and her team provided us means that much more. Over the past nearly six years, KinderCare became a part of our lives, and we became a part of theirs. From birthday parties to center events, there was always laughter and genuine care. The team at this location means so much to us, and we will forever be grateful for the friends Tony has made, the teachers who have inspired him, and the amazing education Tony received. We no longer see it as a daycare, but as the true development center it is.
