Our experience @ Will Mar has been outstanding. It truly is a happy place for riders & horses. The stalls are large & generously padded. Horses are fed three times per day; supplements are given daily per owners' instructions. Stalls are cleaned seven days per week. Horses are turned out for several hours six days per week. The layout of the facility is quite perfect with easy access to the round pen, turnouts, wash area & tack rooms. Rainy weather? Hand walking mostly possible as walkways are covered with gravel. The footing in the arena is top notch. Training with Amy Miller is superb. She has a special communication gift not only with equines but also with riders. Each lesson is immensely valuable & brings out the best in every horse-rider team. If you & your horse/s are looking for boarding only, consider WMEC. If you & your horse/s would like to board & train with Amy Miller, consider WMEC. If you'd like to haul in for lessons, consider WMEC. I did & have never looked back!

(and so are the horses) Joy who runs the barn is a delightful person. The trails are endless and plenty of running spots on them. It is a hot area and this is August but there always seems to be a breeze. The stalls are large and covered from bearing down sun and rain and there is a cross breeze in the stalls. The lockers provided are huge and nicely located and Bathrooms are clean and big. Arenas - jumping and barrels and plenty of turn outs. The price is good, facility is clean and safe and I feel confident about the care of the horses. I used to have to supplement hay but here they are feeding a good amount. The people are friendly. I had no idea that I would love it so much. Thank you Joy

I have been riding here since 1999, over 20 years. It is a low key, low drama facility. Back in the day they did riding lessons and trail rides, that is not the case in the last 15 years. Most boarders consist of recreational owners, riders, and a few jumpers. Overall the atmosphere is very laid back. Again, there are few amenities for boarders beyond basic such as personal tack rooms, feeding and cleaning. There are a few wash racks, arenas, round pens, and trail access. From time to time a trainer will move in and offer training and/or lessons. The only unusual thing about this barn is a lack of regular turn out. This seems to be a normal SoCal practice. Somehow the area forgot the basic need for horses to have room to move freely and interact a few hours a day. Any turn out is limited to 20 minutes due to the volume of horses on site, despite many areas of unused land. Overall, the place is affordable and has a family feel. It has been around for many years and I hope for many more to come.

I never feel rushed when working with her. She is very patient and kind with her teachings. I cannot believe more people do not know about this hidden gem and incredible instructor right here in north Duarte! I am now taking 2 riding lessons a week with Andrea, and I am learning so quickly and having so much fun all at the same time. She really cares about the safety of her horses and riders, and she instills a ton of knowledge upon you about her craft as well. She always makes me feel safe when I am riding, and that was something that was very important to me. I highly recommend Andrea to any beginner riders, experienced riders, or children just getting started for the first time. You certainly will not be disappointed!!
