Harley was mine and Chris Myers World, and we were his…read more Harley gave us some of our life's most treasured and savored memories, unconditional love, companionship, a unique and admirable innocence, and loyalty. 4 Paws Pet Clinic was an integral part of our family. All of the folks at 4 Paws gave Harley unprecedented attention and compassion over many years, with such gentleness and care. At no time did we ever feel that 4 Paws was suggesting care for Harley that was anything other than in his best interest. These people are truly animal lovers, all of whom genuinely care deeply and personally about every one of their patients. Everyone at 4 Paws definitely cared as much about Harley as I did. When it was discovered, very suddenly that Harley was ill, he was immediately scheduled by 4 Paws with Oak Creek Veterinary Hospital, and he was admitted for surgery within a couple of hours. Harley had Splenetic Cancer, which had metastasized to his other organs. This is an illness not uncommon, but even with today's technology, it still cannot pinpoint a cause. At 56 days old, Harley became accustomed to falling asleep in my arm, with his head on my shoulder. Every night the ritual of him laying on a shoulder with my arm around him, looking into my eyes as I told him a bedtime story, until he fell asleep never changed. I savored every night. Just 9 1/2 years old seems way too short. But, in that 9 1/2 years, we weren't apart for 72 hours total. Every day, he would lay under my desk as I got through the work that I needed to do, then it was walk time. Harley would scream and tear around the house at words like "walk," "ride in the truck," "go swimming," "rollerblading" and "frisbee." He would never start eating his breakfast or dinner alone. He would only eat after we also sat down to have a meal together. Afterword, the tradition was to sit stubbornly in front of his toy closet until one of us got him a chew toy. I have had the blessings of loving and being loved in my life, but nothing compares to the bond and companionship I had with this sweet little pal, Harley. This little guy will rest in my heart forever... Harley had one hard evening. By 3:00 AM, Harley was telling us that it was time. We drove through the early morning hours to arrive at 4 Paws at 7:00 AM. They immediately took him in, handled him with such gentleness and care, and provided him with such a peaceful and dignified cross over the Rainbow Bridge. There was not a dry eye at 4 Paws. They are so caring and such wonderful people. Thank you all at 4 Paws for helping us in our greatest time of need. We all will hold Harley in our hearts.

Id like to add Dr L assists local rescues with help and has given Paws Patrol free help, advice, and helped us with many diffacult cases helping us find answers when other vets advised us to give up on the cats. She has a true heart for all animals. She is what we amagine every vet should be. Plus her qualifications rival what would just be found in specialized offices in large cities with high fees. The staff was so friendly and even got us in same-day because his skin was so itchy. They did his shots, checked him out, and gave him allergy medicine that should help within 30 minutes, all during a quick visit, which was perfect with the babies in the stroller! Everyone was so sweet to our kids and Chief. Madison loved him and nicknamed him "Chiefly Beefy" because he's 91 lbs! Thank you, Dr. Nunn, and the whole team! Our toddler was even so excited to see the doctor that he said goodbye again when we left. Highly recommend!

After finally getting in touch, we were given antibiotics as a preventative and red light therapy. I may not be a vet, but through my work I deal with dogs the same day and days after they are fixed, and I have never come across this as a solution to something that looks like a hematoma. After almost a week, plus Bendadryl, a few days of pain meds, and then asking for more pain meds due to our dog shaking in pain and crying, antibiotics, and red light therapy, his swelling is finally down to a somewhat normal size. If you want your animal neutered or spayed, play it safe and go somewhere else.

I have not yet been to the new location but her fees at the old place were less than nearby St. Marys/Kingsland vets. I used to live in Folkston & she was the only vet I went to there. Since moving to St. Mary's I sometimes go to another vet that is closer, but for big issues I would go the extra miles to bring my cats to her care.
